What do you think of Chopard Alpine eagle?

  4. marko marin on November 24, 2021 at 9:50 pm

With that price I rather get a speedy or cartier santos

  5. Sashmanswag on November 24, 2021 at 9:51 pm

my dad has this watch and loves it! never understood the bad reviews!!

  6. The1&Ωnly on November 24, 2021 at 9:53 pm

Every design derives from something else prior to it unless we rewind time back to some 13,5 billon years ago. Instead of complaining about stuff you most certainly know less about then B&R perhaps you instead should be in awe over the fact that some people actually realized a vision and started producing their own brand of timepieces.
    – Me? I´m WOSTEP certified since 2004 and still humble enough to hail anyone who gives it a shot.

What’s funny is I literally was shopping this because of its beautiful blue dial against the medium Cartier Santos. I ended up with the Santos because I couldn’t stop looking at its timeless proportions and balance of hard and soft. It was so quintessentially French with it’s very geometric yet human-centric design. With one of the oldest histories in horology, it was a no brainer and worth the extra cost.

I love your videos by the way! Such a clean aesthetic and concise viewpoint. Keep it up. You definitely have a visual niche all your own in the watch review video community.

    well said

    God, thank you

Very good review! I have the skeleton 05 and very happy with it. Looks great and feels soo comfy on the wrist. Homerun for Bell & Ross in my opinion. And yes the online keybord warriors, are all assholes who comment on watches that they didn’t even see or wear in person. Buy what you like an love and don’t buy what others think what a great watch is.

  11. Niel Wong on November 24, 2021 at 9:56 pm

Nothing controversial….B&R is just generally sh!te, I can’t shake the hipster wannabe basic b image from years ago

  12. Jake Roberts on November 24, 2021 at 9:57 pm

Are those round corners? Someone call Apple!!

  13. Nicholas Lear on November 24, 2021 at 9:57 pm

I love the colors in your videos. A lot of watch review channels have a tendency, intentional or not, to look rather monochromatic. But your videos are always so full of bright dynamic color ranges! Even at a glance, it gives the impression that your videos are more fun and playful – which they are. I can’t afford almost any of the watches in your videos, and often have no intent on purchasing them if I could, but I always come back and click your videos because the content itself is good! One might say… You’reTerrific : )

  14. phototristan on November 24, 2021 at 10:01 pm

Just curious, what do you use for the animations?

  15. Fabreeze The Fainting Goat on November 24, 2021 at 10:02 pm

It s very nice, and like others have said, maybe it s AP fault for mostly being know n for this model, a lot of watches look like "" rolex"" ie divers, or Calatrava s etc.. It s a fresh take on an established design, just like Bugari,a fashion brand, did. But ofc they had genta and roth so it s ok

  16. Martin Nordstrøm on November 24, 2021 at 10:03 pm

    Such a beautiful watch!!!

  17. Kristian Shaw on November 24, 2021 at 10:04 pm

I absolutely love this watch and pay no attention to the complaints about it copying others. It might have similar design points but there’s nothing else that exists like this on the market whatsoever. I just wish it was smaller – I tried it on and it wears massive! If it was smaller I’d buy it immediately!

  18. TheDong on November 24, 2021 at 10:06 pm

Nice review. The blue really pops. How do you get that 20% discount? I saw a "used" one with only an 8% discount.

  19. JAPAN 皇様 on November 24, 2021 at 10:06 pm

    素敵な逸品 美しくお洒落 👍

    Good Review. Thank you!

  21. sidewinderxx on November 24, 2021 at 10:06 pm

if only it wasn’t a square case.. it’d be perfect

  22. EmpiricalWorm on November 24, 2021 at 10:07 pm

For this money I’d rather go for a Grand Seiko or Rolex. Preowned if need be.

  23. Rhoi Carpena on November 24, 2021 at 10:08 pm

My initial read of that dial was Panerai purely because of the size and rounded edges of the indices.

  24. TheNoobtastic on November 24, 2021 at 10:10 pm

Finally someone else who says that the royal oak and nautilus are not exactly sports watches!

  25. anickiN on November 24, 2021 at 10:11 pm

    "nautilas"

  26. venrocking on November 24, 2021 at 10:14 pm

Not my cup of tea despite loving Genta designed watches. I personally think it’s a great thing that more affordable brands are borrowing his industrial design aesthetic, but this one just isn’t it.

  27. Mehtab Bhogal on November 24, 2021 at 10:14 pm

I like mine more than the royal oak I had.

  28. Roy Singh on November 24, 2021 at 10:15 pm

I can see Patek. B&R always had screws. Where is the Royal Oak resemblance?
This is a great looking watch.

  29. K Kao on November 24, 2021 at 10:17 pm

It’s a Frankenstein watch combining AP Royal Oak + Patek Nautilus + Panerai Luminor; actually ended up being a decent looking watch, but watch collectors usually don’t take kindly to homage copies, especially considering the competition at similar price points. It’s really too bad this watch is going to flop, but in a way, I suppose rightly so.

  30. Jogie Glen Mait on November 24, 2021 at 10:18 pm

It looks good to me. Better, even.

  31. Beluwuga on November 24, 2021 at 10:19 pm

Why is it only compared to RO and Nautilus? Not Polo, Laureato, Datejust, Classic Fusion, Constellation, or Octo. Because the ones comparing them are watch newbies. They had just learn about haute horlogerie in the past year or months. That explains the comparison, since they can afford luxury watches and posting them on social media, their voices are heard, then it became controversy. I, on the other hand, who had my first Datejust from when I was 15 — 116334 in Silver dial — and who has followed haute horlogerie and fascinated by Bubbleback since I was 12 looks at BR-05 as a breakthrough for Bell&Ross. This is the first time their jet instruments-based watches look absolutely beautiful. They still do maintain the depiction of fighter-jet instrument on BR-05 design, and I must say it’s amazing, except the skeleton. Why would they do that? beautiful automatic rotor, awful ‘skeletonisation’, too large of a gap between movement and the case.. Why?

  32. ivan kerr on November 24, 2021 at 10:22 pm

It’s a Bell and Ross with B&R dna. It is nothing like a Royal Oak or a Nautilus.. it’s a beautiful watch. It’s only the weak cowardly trolls commenting on the channels.

  33. Maziar Ameli on November 24, 2021 at 10:22 pm

B&R watches always remind me of Jeff Winger from Community.

  34. Mario Gonzalez on November 24, 2021 at 10:24 pm

    "Might I suggest knitting.."

LOL I legit almost spit out my breakfast!

    Great video as always!

  35. Chop Chop on November 24, 2021 at 10:24 pm

Before anyone slags this, trust me go and try it on. You will be beyond pleasantly suprpised at how enjoyable this BR05 is.

  36. Timothy A Cowin on November 24, 2021 at 10:24 pm

It’s their best watch by a mile

  37. JollyRob on November 24, 2021 at 10:25 pm

For the vast majority of people the APRO and PPN will always be nothing more than a dream due to their ridiculously high prices so a €4000 watch with nods to them is fine by me.

  38. Ahamd Banjar on November 24, 2021 at 10:26 pm

42 hours reserve is hard to sallow these day, a Longine spirit is around the same price with a 72 hours power reserve.

  39. Douglas Rosser on November 24, 2021 at 10:30 pm

I think Bell & Ross is such a contrivance as a brand, but I gotta admit it’s actually a good looking style and it’s unmistakably theirs.

  40. nir winter on November 24, 2021 at 10:31 pm

You’re paying more than 4k for a subpar movement.

  41. Eric N on November 24, 2021 at 10:31 pm

Been eyeing this piece for months and decided to finally buy it after watching your video.

  42. TurboT2 on November 24, 2021 at 10:32 pm

Good take and vid. Appreciate your views and commentary on this timepiece. To add one point, I think that it is perfectly within the Bell & Ross design language historically and just an evolution of what a “normal” Bell & Ross BR-“x”very industrial form iteratively evolved into… a dressy model with the BR family.

  43. Eleazar on November 24, 2021 at 10:32 pm

    I personally love this watch😍

  44. ugabrew on November 24, 2021 at 10:37 pm

Great review. Still not a fan of this watch, but I enjoyed learning a bit more about it.

  45. Alan L on November 24, 2021 at 10:37 pm

    I really dig it! 💙

  46. Wonder of Watches on November 24, 2021 at 10:39 pm

I was one of the detractors at the start, but now I love this so much, that I can see it in my future

  47. Diego P on November 24, 2021 at 10:40 pm

Been following you on IG but never visited your YouTube channel, I regret not looking into it before, love your video style, the play with colors, textures and angles. Great video!

  48. Michael Bedford on November 24, 2021 at 10:41 pm

    Rectangles that have a diameter.
A two dimensional shape that has volume.
    A time-only that has a date complication.
That’s the attention to detail that attracted me to watches in the first place.

  49. JAMES_d on November 24, 2021 at 10:45 pm

Whats that tool/cup holder you use for the tools? I like it and want one!

  50. Renaud Tilman on November 24, 2021 at 10:46 pm

That’s a really cool watch but man the price tag is a hard one especially at retail when you check the second hand market. But kudos to B&R for this great design!
