Competitors use three different firearms — a modern sporting rifle (MSR), typically a rifle built on an AR-platform; a handgun; and a shotgun. Matches generally involve courses where the shooter must move through different stages and engage targets in a variety of different positions. Each stage will generally require the use of different firearms and require the shooter to transition between them.

3 gun shooting is basically a giant middle finger to Fudds. Absolutely love it. I treat 3 gun like a martial art, it really feels like it embodies discipline = freedom.
Looks like a lot of fun for all ages. I’ve always heard that most everyone at 3 gun matches are friendly and helpful. I’ve always been intimidated but maybe I’ll go watch a few at my local range. Looks like a great way to get out and enjoy the sport!

I would love to get into this. As a disabled veteran, it would be great. Also, as a disable veteran, I couldn’t afford one pass for ammo. But I would go just to watch. This aeems amazing.
