Hickok why did you have 6 rounds in that revolver 😡
Hickok45 can the pietta 1873 single action 7.5 inch barrel 45 long colt fire smokeless 45 long colt? Its got a transfer bar as well
Lovely case hardening and Blueing,
Parabéns esse é uma arma muito mais
I noticed the US firearms 1873 have a pretty hefty price tag. Is it better just to get a colt for the same price?
When Wild Bill Hickock shot Dave Tutt, it was considered an extraordinary feat of accuracy. The distance was 75 yards.
The fact that you can hit a 10 inch gong from over 100 yards would have Wild Bill shaking your hand in appreciation of your prowess with the pistol.
I picked up one of these from my LGS a couple of months ago. It seems your’s may have a longer barrel though, mine is the 4 5/8" one. Like the one in your video, I don’t believe it had ever been fired, outside the factory. I’ve put about 30 rounds through it, cleaned and waxed it, and it has a place of honor in my safe now. Everything you said about the gun is dead on. It is a work of art, and joy to handle. I’m not really a single action guy, but I’m glad I went ahead and got this one.
The crisp sounds in the first four seconds really showcase how impressive the audio engineering is in your videos (intentional or not).
A damn shame you never bought one because you thought the colt would hold its value better. Hindsight’s 20/20 🤷♂️
Best regards from POLAND!
Sure wish I could find some 45 colt brass so I could start shooting my old vaquero.
I heard the guy who ran this company went out of business because he sold all the tooling in order to finance the ‘Zip Gun’, which was a massive disaster. Is this true?
Se ve fazil pero es dificil
Thankfully the fine folks at Standard Mfg (many of whom came from Colt and USFA) are now making a similar quality single action, albeit more costly than what the USFA originally retailed for.
Do all colt clones get categorized as black powder guns or just the cap and ball ones?
Brass fired BY Hickok45 and a paper target shot by him? Who WOULDN’T want that?
I have two USFA Single Action revolvers. Both with the Doug Turnbull finish. One is in .44 Special with Paul Persinger ivory grips. The other is in .45 Colt with Tru-Ivory grips. They are vastly superior to the Gen 2 and Gen 3 Colt revolvers. The USFA revolvers give you more than what you paid. The Colt revolvers give you less than what you paid. Doug Donnelly, rot in Hell.
I own one and love it, except mine has an additional cylinder so you can shoot 45acp
Sweet copy of a Colt SAA. Hang Tuff 👍
Uberti is nice, but these are on a different level.
No transfer bar safety, it appears.
C’mon, gun industry! Get with the times and common sense.
0:01 proof that hickock is one of the few gun enthusiasts on youtube you’d never want to go toe to toe with…you always see flashy videos, bump firing, large caliber, shooting explosives but you rarely see them hit a realistic target (or seem to have any sense of gun safety). In other words all those skills are useless when Hickock can draw, cock the hammer, and put one right on target in less than a second
Own two of these premium models in 45 colt They are beautiful !!!!
USDA Turnbull probably better than the gen 1, but that’s probably impossible because of collection value and some historical value on some earlier gen 1 pistols.
My USFA SA clone was sent to Turnbull for his famous authentic finishing and has a unique serial number beginning with "DT". I purchased it directly from Turnbull Restorations and it is unbelievably beautiful, even prettier that a Colt.
I’ve had Colts love them, I at present have three USFA SAA they are great guns
Freedom Arms next? Please??
Very sad what happened to US Firearms, or more accurately, what they did to themselves.
Then the company head pursued his Zip 22–the worst production firearm ever.
They Were Built in the Old Colt Factory!!!!!
To bad one gun put USFA out of buisness I think we know what gun that is
Excellent ad Well done!!!
Sad this company was destroyed by a deranged owner with an obsession with large scale producing possibly the worst 22 pistol ever made 🙁
Why doesn’t Federal offer Cowboy loads~?
That was some cinematography
How many of these did they make?
I prefer the Single Action Army Revolvers made by Ruger because I don’t have to worry about loading 5
I have two USFA .45 just like the one in this video, except mine have walnut grips and are sequentially numbered. Beautiful guns. Such a shame they went out of business.
I passed on one of these because it wasn’t a colt. This was back right in the beginning when I first fell in love with the Colt SAA. Regret it 100%, wish I knew then what I know now.
Suede lined holster + gun oil + grit = marred finish. Smooth calves skin lining is easier on finishes.
It was the zip 22 gun that killed the company. They sold all of their original tooling machines used for the single actions to fund the zip 22 project, and it was a huge flop. Just wanted to let you know, love the video. Beautiful gun, and great shooting as always
i own one of these what a beautiful revolver
Sadly the owner of USFA was kind of insane and greed prevail he wasn’t making much money out of the company and he decided to sell his machinery and invest on cheap gun patent that destroy his company.
Mine is a little different, it has the engraved cylinder and the hammer is color case hardened. The gun has never been fired but I don’t know how much longer I can hold out. I would love to buy another and put big horn grips on it.
Sorry, USFA.
Now that is a beautiful SAA. "A thing of beauty is a joy forever" Keats.
The story I know is that they went under because they retooled to make the zip gun and planned to use the profits to buy back better tooling and resume production of the single actions. Perhaps this is the other half of the story. Maybe they were already hurting due to their high production costs and the zip gun was their idea to try to save the company.
Those 2 liter paper targets are hilarious
What kind of holster is that?
Gangsta hitchcock
