The sights that my 930 SPX tactical came with are fantastic and I left them as is. The only thing I may as is maybe a light and the Urbino Stock.

Use a little black Permatex on the screw threads that hold the shell holder and they won’t come loose. If you use the black Permatex it will be easy for you to remove the screws later if desired. This is a better solution than using Loctite.
Burst. Review the anodized aluminum washer addition in the exhaust system is probably air craft quality in the 70 T6 grade quite a real deference than regular aluminum. That is not durable. Your reciever is also aircraft quality 70 T6 check it out ,your video is excellent .

from research, only 2 or 3 rds from a 12 ga ends the fight, so, my 590 mil is good enough, but then it is modified by van comp…

Thanks for the info! Just picked up a 930 tactical to replace my 500. Don’t want to worry about racking a shotgun in the middle of the night. Had it at the range the day after I got it, love just pulling the trigger to unload all that fire power!!!

I have a 930 Blackwater. Changed to the Mesa Tactical stock and really just don’t like the pistol grip with this gun. Mossberg safety is superior to Remington…if you can get to it as Mossberg and God intended
I want to swap for a standard stock if anyone has a suggestion.
How’s the reliability with the buttstock? Is it giving you problems shooting any type of ammo?

Yep…the will to use it…a very big deal, and one that’s not discussed enough. Not going to parrot any of the other comments, except to suggest that there ARE much better solutions for lighting.

I would never use a shotgun inside as home defense. 1st shot, immediate deafness, tinnitus, compromised situational awareness, the likelihood of peppering my family or neighbors, bulky, slow… Like using a bulldozer when all u need is a shovel. Just my opinion.

4:20 — Instead of the GG&G extended charging handle for $20, get the exact same thing from Mossberg Customer Service for like $7.
My GG&G extended handle bent significantly after less than 50 rounds of 3" 12 gauge BB. Returned it for a full refund, then called Mossberg to order their own extended charging handle, which is actually made from good metal instead of crummy pot metal.

I also use a JM pro for home defense. OR3GUN competition package, SBE stainless piston, GG&G side saddle, nordic mag extension, Carlson creamator chokes, single mode 1250 lumen light. Its my favorite firearm and has never malfunctioned.
You would get shot while reloading. Oh, and another comment that went unanswered, what sweatshirt/fleece is that?

The bolt release is the weak point on the 930 and 940’s. On a loaded chamber and tube, if it gets hit accidentally, two shells leave the tube and land on top of the elevator causing an instant jam.
Also, once you put a red dot on the receiver, you then have to buy a cheek riser or aftermarket stock because you cant see the sight while keeping a cheek weld on the standard buttstock.
Finally, for a home protection shotgun, nothing gives you faster target acquisition than a simple bead sight. It may not look "tacticool", but it doesn’t need to for the purpose it’s serving.
Bonus recommendation: Shoot with a an angry facial expression. Always.

I use Velcro for my side saddle. Works great and don’t have to worry about the screws. It’s been on there for lever a year and let’s me remove it for maintenance and whatnot
