Arrrgh. Testing a new rifle’s accuracy with a TactiToy Suppressor on it isn’t the way to do this. IMHO, it’s not much different than testing a new centerfire rifle after counterboring the muzzle. It would’ve been a better test if you shot various brands of ammo with and without the suppressor on. I learned nothing about the as-purchased rifle’s accuracy from this.

  2. jboy lightning on October 29, 2021 at 4:24 pm

and if you use Ruger mags, it loses the last shot bolt open feature. You can use just about any 10/22 upgrade parts. Perfect clone, but improved in many ways.

  3. MidWest_IronWorks_Gym on October 29, 2021 at 4:25 pm

I have one of these and absolutely love it! My kids love it too! I got mine for $300 from Rural King. Ruger can’t compete with that.

  4. Konrad Roell on October 29, 2021 at 4:26 pm

Keep going with "The Proving Ground"!

  5. Dustysa4 on October 29, 2021 at 4:27 pm

Those are impressive groups from a stock rifle at that price point. I can’t wait to see what the PC T/CR22 is capable of.
    Edit: Thanks for the video!

  6. Andrew Raven on October 29, 2021 at 4:32 pm

Does anyone know if this rifle is compatible with the KIDD single-state trigger group? Thank you for your time info has been hard to find regarding aftermarket triggers.

  7. Doug Cooley on October 29, 2021 at 4:32 pm

wow, had to copy a good gun to make up for the piece of junk they sold that kept breaking firing pins due to poor design

  8. poor fat man on October 29, 2021 at 4:32 pm

It takes the 10/22 magazines and the barrels

  9. Andy on October 29, 2021 at 4:35 pm

You guys should get some sk standard plus and try it out … From what I heard it should be the same stuff as the wolf match

  10. fweenter on October 29, 2021 at 4:35 pm

    promag qdb bug out!

  11. AspearRanch on October 29, 2021 at 4:36 pm

    does it take glock mags?
I have a hard time believing the reliability.

  12. MrTDB123 on October 29, 2021 at 4:40 pm

This rifle is my pick for my Trump check. Lol.

  13. danrandle 65 on October 29, 2021 at 4:41 pm

What does oppressor that sounds like an arcade rifle

  14. Fearless1 on October 29, 2021 at 4:42 pm

There is no problem with the ammo or gun. Aprox 1 inch groups at 50 yards is consistent with aprox 2 inch groups at 100 yards. As test fired in this video, the T/CR22 is therefore capable of about 2 MOA.

  15. Amrak-8 on October 29, 2021 at 4:42 pm

⭐️Great rifle⭐️…I bought the first one, but on pick up day the front sight is leaning to the right. So they ordered me a new one, so after five more days come pick day, the front sight was wiggling. I gave up and bought a Ruger instead. I don’t know if is a fluke but the front sight are crap.

  16. Shane Smith on October 29, 2021 at 4:44 pm

I will never understand why these nerds waste money to suppress a 22LR.

  17. On The Throne Fishing on October 29, 2021 at 4:44 pm

Wolf is made by Lapua. Match is SK standard plus. SK Rifle Match is SK Rifle Match. Federal Ultra Match is RWS R50

  18. Happ Happy on October 29, 2021 at 4:44 pm

Never been a 10/22 fan but have many T/Cs so I saw this deal I couldn’t say no. Nets out shipped for $149.52 Brownells had it for $299.99- $40 instant discount code LX4 (had to add a filler to hit $300) + 10 FFL processing charge -$60 Brownells gift card I’ll get – $50 T/C rebate -$10.47 Active Junky rebate = $149.52 Total! How can I beat a deal like that? Hope I like it. I wanted a threaded barrel Semi Auto & like the idea of using Ruger mags, barrels & the peep sight & it’s a T/C which I’m sure is better much better than a 10/22. I’ve had great service out of & must own 40+ different T/Cs total. Brownells stands behind everything they sell forever also. I love a good deal
It does use ruger barrels & most accessories

  19. jboy lightning on October 29, 2021 at 4:46 pm

Yes, you can use the BX25 mags. and all other Ruger 10/22 mags

  20. Greg Plaka on October 29, 2021 at 4:46 pm

I would also like to know what the Temperature was at the time of your shooting. Thanks.

  21. Blockhead369 on October 29, 2021 at 4:46 pm

Where’s the pic of Bens gun ?

  22. Vivotuo Keretsii on October 29, 2021 at 4:49 pm

Please suggest me the best accuracy ammo for this tcr 22 lr .

  23. Wes Trammell on October 29, 2021 at 4:49 pm

When it comes to 22lr, you have to season the bore before you evaluate ammo. A lot of barrels require 10-20 rounds of ammo to settle in, then when you switch ammo you should dry patch the barrel. If this is for guys who buy the first ammo they come to its a decent review. If you really want to know the potential of the rifle you need to really change up your methods.

  24. Chris Walls on October 29, 2021 at 4:49 pm

Try lapping the barrel before you shoot for accuracy

  25. HAACKER45 on October 29, 2021 at 4:50 pm

How does the bolt hold open work on this rifle? Do you have to use their mags?

  26. Veteran Patriot on October 29, 2021 at 4:50 pm

A guy recommended the TCR to me over the 10/22 . Now I am a HUGE FAN of Anything Ruger. To Me the GP100 is the Best .357 EVER made and I carry it as a trail gun in Black Bear Country. As for the 10/22 ??? Its the AK47 of ..22’s as far as reliability goes and the AR15 as far as Accuracy is concerned.
Since I already owed one I went out on a Limb and Bought the TCR22.
Still Love My Ruger 10/22 , But if I had to Bug out and opened my safe I would have many MANY Guns to choose from, But only 1 in reality and thats the TCR22. It is without ANY DOUBT the Most accurate 22lr I have Ever shot in my life.
I owed a Savage bolt action that could hit a 3 inch wide metal strip attached to a pole at 200 yards, With just Iron sights and Blazer ammo 9/10 times. And I will STILL Take the TCR22 over that one.
At 100 yards with a red dot you can cut a ragged hole like ots nothing.
Hunt squirrels, Rabbits and small game with Head Shots and Only need 1 Shot.
No doubt with some CCI Stingers ( In a SHTF situation) I could easily drop a Deer and before anyone ask, I have never Shot a Deer with a .22 and would only do so for self preservation in Survival scenario .
If you already own a 10/22 then buy a TCR22.
    You gotta own both.

  27. Greg Plaka on October 29, 2021 at 4:51 pm

So are we ever going to see your Buddy shoot his kid at 100 yards, I really want to see that and I am sure most of the others that watch your video want to also. I know that the RWS shot great but at 18$ a box I think it should and tell’s the rifle is Great. I think the R22 will be right there with the Kidd $200+ barrel and shipping and aftermarket stock. Way Way over 200. Smiles.

  28. Nathan S. on October 29, 2021 at 4:51 pm

No stangers? What’s up with that?

  29. SerpentLord666 on October 29, 2021 at 4:51 pm

Jeez, looks like you dug that ammo out of your grand-pappy’s attic.  Looks like the gun is pretty accurate though.  More so than a regular 10/22 though?  Thanks.

  30. Mas Kito on October 29, 2021 at 4:52 pm

You got to come down and let Ben talk.

  31. Brad Clem on October 29, 2021 at 4:53 pm

Lapua polar biathlon ammo 15 bucks for fifty most accurate ammo out there and made to perform n extreme and cold weather.🎯

  32. Neil Que on October 29, 2021 at 4:54 pm

Just picked one up in Nov and the Mag was defective however the rifle shoots great. Last round would stovepipe and jam in the mag. Ruger magazine works better but no LRHO. There’s a $50 rebate till the end of the year

  33. Gene Smiley on October 29, 2021 at 4:55 pm

Just got my TCR 22 in today! Mounted a Bushnell Trophy 3×9 scope with mildot reticle and took it to the range today. This thing is a tack driver! I shot this until my hands were too sore to load the magazines anymore. Glad I had a butt load of ammo!

  34. Deep Pockets on October 29, 2021 at 4:55 pm

Smaller targets, tighter groups. Aim small, miss small.

  35. Derek Quinones on October 29, 2021 at 4:56 pm

Would you rather have this rifle over a Ruger 1022 and I’m looking for a good rifle for medium to long range practice

  36. Paladin84125 on October 29, 2021 at 5:01 pm

Gee. I would have liked to look at and measure the groups. As is, watching this video was a waste of time.

  37. glocktard on October 29, 2021 at 5:02 pm

I like that you had two different people shoot the same gun & ammo.

  38. Greg Plaka on October 29, 2021 at 5:04 pm

He gets paid by both. Come on you know that

  39. Saved Life on October 29, 2021 at 5:05 pm

Thompson Center knew how to price this thing, because of it’s extra features and the fact taht a Magpul stock for a 10/22 is $100 makes this a really good deal. Last round bolt hold open makes for a better experience at the range, anything idiot-proof is a plus.

  40. Wayne L. Cass on October 29, 2021 at 5:06 pm

Could it be… it got more dirty because of the suppressor??

  41. kurt Ivey on October 29, 2021 at 5:08 pm

Fantastic review! Have you had any rust issues on the barrel? I saw from another owner that his was quite rust prone

  42. Dave Poidvin on October 29, 2021 at 5:10 pm

Gentlemen, with rimfire firearms, you will achieve groups that are truly representative of the rifle and ammo you are shooting, only if you acclimate the barrel. You must, would be preferred, to shoot 20 rounds to acclimate the barrel before starting to shoot for groups. Dave & The Girls

  43. Jonathan Torres on October 29, 2021 at 5:10 pm

What kind of bipod do I need to get to fit getting one soon

  44. Andrew Kuper on October 29, 2021 at 5:12 pm

    4:13 That’s a TCR22 not a Contender

  45. Tom on October 29, 2021 at 5:13 pm

This might be helpful for someone that bought this just stock. I am a novice at Best and purchased this recently. I took it to an indoor range at 25 yards. And it was ridiculously accurate. I absolutely love the Green Dot At the end of the iron sight. And of course like any 22 rifle you get to shoot so much ammo because of how inexpensive it is I really love this rifle.

  46. GONZO38 pp on October 29, 2021 at 5:13 pm

RWS 100 is the most accurate 22 ammunition I have ever shot I use it in matches in my 1022 if You can find it it’s about $18 a box

  47. Jason Murray on October 29, 2021 at 5:14 pm

Review the gun in stock set up. You keep altering these freakin guns and claim they are "reviews " of their natural performance. Holy hell!

Also.. was this an Ammo vid???

  48. APARTMENT .223 on October 29, 2021 at 5:15 pm

just bought this for 259.60 from Cabelas after they price matched it. I found it for the 259.60 online. I Can’t wait to compare it to my 10/22’s.

  49. Greg Plaka on October 29, 2021 at 5:16 pm

Ok just ordered one. should be here on Thursday of this week 31 jan. I will take it apart and see what the fuss is all about. I hope it is good but hear the stock is hollow and needs some foam. but at 4.5 lb total weight, THAT IS GOOD, As I have a bad left arm and it is hard to hold a heavy rifle for long. Bad Tendon. Dam parts just go bad as we get old… Back to the rifle I bet the receiver will need to be shimmed to make sure it does not move left to right as the dam Ruger design does not give a good fit from the factory. Not sure on the Magpul stock but I bet it is loose.

I give you guys thumbs up on the great job shooting with the stock trigger.

Things I will do are. Bolt Face will be cut to .042 ( if not already)
Barrel will be brought over to my Smith and have him look at the Chamber
I am thinking T/C went with just a loose Chamber. (not sure no one knows)
Trigger will have to be replaced with min of 2 to 2.5 trigger pull.
Receiver will fit like glove for little to no movement. ( left to right)
Fill rear of stock with Foam so it does not sound like a Drum.
And a 10-40X Scope to see the little Circle’s I am shooting at.

I will mount the Scope and shoot it First. Then Step changes.

  50. Ryan McCarthy on October 29, 2021 at 5:20 pm

I have this rifle and love it. What’s the mount and bipod info?
