The one complaint I have is the magazine release is hard to reach, and I have really long fingers.

  2. Aniwayas Song on December 5, 2021 at 6:58 pm

I bought mine last Summer. Talk about timing. With ammo STILL going for $2.00/round or MORE, who the hell can afford to enjoy shooting this beauty!? I landed one box of 500 Federal, but still won’t go out and empty magazines until I can double that stock. I just don’t want to be OUT of ammo for any firearm I own, otherwise they’re just expensive paper weights!
I really want to get my hands on a variety of loads, to test and see what suits me the best.
LOVE your review, however! At least some folks can run these platforms and share their results with us!

Plan your videos… you keep tracking over yourself and are "over speaking"

  11. Roderick Malkin SHAKESPEARE COAST on December 5, 2021 at 7:13 pm

a real ‘James Bond’ gun, accurate flat shooting (max 1" off sight line with Ruger 57, 40g ammo) at foreign espionage agents, to ~100 yards (and way more than this with lighter 27ounce ammo)! In Feb, FN announced the cartridge accepted as a NATO standard. God’s Love, Defending the Nation!

  12. maptinkler on December 5, 2021 at 7:13 pm

LOL….cheapest box of 50 in 5.7 since Puppet Joe took office $39.99… the highest was $100! …$75, $80 common!

  13. guloguloguy on December 5, 2021 at 7:15 pm

FYI: When you’re doing future videos, keep the sunlight in front of you! (face yourself almost directly into the light), so that we can see the details on the "black" guns!…

  14. Banaras Ali on December 5, 2021 at 7:15 pm

    Can you tell me. Price.

  15. ditchdigger93 on December 5, 2021 at 7:16 pm

And as of right now 2021 you can’t buy a chance at finding a box of 5.7X28. Glad I didn’t buy one.

  16. Keyfarm on December 5, 2021 at 7:18 pm

    Thanks

  17. Ron Hunt on December 5, 2021 at 7:21 pm

    I’m impressed

  18. TzFrank on December 5, 2021 at 7:22 pm

Does it have an ambidextrous magazine release?

  19. Elver Galarga on December 5, 2021 at 7:22 pm

Plinkster your video never has a chance once Mr. Hickok 45 uploaded a video he’s in the millions and your over here crying over 800k views 🤣🤣🤣

  20. BrianVeliz on December 5, 2021 at 7:22 pm

The 57 has no energy? Dude that’s a piece of lead going 1700 FPS , gtfo lmao, that shit has ton of energy. More speed = more energy

  21. Thor Thornton on December 5, 2021 at 7:23 pm

    15$ for box of 5.7 😭

  22. Sterling Knight on December 5, 2021 at 7:24 pm

Damn it, i need a Glock fie semmun!

  23. Jayne Cobb on December 5, 2021 at 7:24 pm

And now the price of 5.7 x28 ammo is like $65 for a box of 50, if you can find it. I hope the price comes down again.

  24. JEDI KNIGHT on December 5, 2021 at 7:25 pm

I saw reviews between the Ruger 57 and the FN 57 and I am compelled to have to buy the Ruger 57. Even though the FN57 has been around longer the Ruger57 (to me) is more reliable overall. Thank you brother. You always produce great videos!

  25. Team_Subaru_PR on December 5, 2021 at 7:25 pm

How about the stopping Power Of this Gun?

  26. Patriot Rising on December 5, 2021 at 7:25 pm

Around $14.00 a box? You could become my new source for ammo ! Haha! I really like the Ruger 57.
I have to say I am impressed. The trigger reset kinda sucks.
Magazines are around $40 each. American Eagle ammo atm is right at $21.00 per 50.
Ruger also was very quick to provide us with a lot of accessories. Plus aftermarket accessories were pretty quick to hit the market.
FNH is not quite as quick and aftermarket accessories took forever to hit the market when the Five Seven first came out. The one thing I can not stand about FNH is when they come out with another generation , they are quick to discontinue support. The FNP when the FNX came out. They changed magazine angles a bit so FNX mags will not quite work in the FNP.
Ruger supports their firearms going quite a way back.
For the cost. The Ruger is a huge bargain over the FNH. Plus I think they are better built. What kinda sucks is I own a Five Seven MkII and even with the market the way it is the Five Seven’s have dropped considerably. And they need to so they can somewhat compete. Ruger has also changed the way shooters think on the 5.7X28.

  27. Dan White on December 5, 2021 at 7:28 pm

I see no use for it

  28. Travis Wigal on December 5, 2021 at 7:30 pm

Just bought one and love it

  29. Robert Ring on December 5, 2021 at 7:31 pm

Tanner Machine products makes a RMR & Holosun mounting plate from 6061 aluminum but the wimpy Ruger 57 cant handle it. From Ruger "We do not have another option for the recoil spring, only what was available from the factory. The optic that is mounted is too heavy and is preventing your firearm from cycling properly." Only Ruger, all other gun manufactures you can mount any sight, what a joke, don’t worry a real manufacturer will come up with a spring that will work soon, I explained that I needed the Holosun for my wife that had a stroke so she can one hand rack and the sights that they offer are not robust enough, but Ruger don’t care and sheepishly wont mention there sight limitations on web sight, hope someone comes up with a better pistol soon. ** note Alex Pro has a better threaded barrel for the 57, not so clunky.

I actually enjoyed this video more than hickok’s video. I just bought one, haven’t got it yet but I’m absolutely in love with this round. Lots of potential there for ruger to make a carbine chambered in this. Where you get ammo? Buds gun shop is $70 + for a box of 50. Ridiculous what people will do to make a buck.

  36. Taylor Babcock on December 5, 2021 at 7:39 pm

Bought a 57 2 months ago still haven’t found ammo

  37. Joe Houseman on December 5, 2021 at 7:39 pm

Good video. Thanks for the all the good info. I was wanting to get one, but haven’t heard much on it yet. I think that’s going to be my next purchase. It’s currently summer of 21, so with the new ammo out, there’s not much on that con list to turn me away

  45. dan downs on December 5, 2021 at 7:48 pm

  46. John Saxtorph on December 5, 2021 at 7:51 pm

Ruger has discovered that a small number of Ruger-57™ pistols may have right safety levers that do not meet our specifications and may be prone to cracking. In some rare instances, the internal "leg" of the right safety lever may crack or break, rendering the manual safety ineffective. If present, this condition may cause the manual safety to appear to be functioning properly when it is not. Although only a very small number of pistols appear to be affected, Ruger is committed to safety and is asking owners of Ruger-57 pistols to immediately perform a routine function check of the safety lever to ensure its proper operation and, if necessary, sign up for this retrofit.

Potentially affected pistols include any Ruger-57 pistol with a serial number of 642-26274 or lower (including all Ruger-57 pistols with a “641” prefix). If your Ruger-57 pistol is within this range (641-00000 to 642-26274), you should follow the inspection procedure outlined in the Safety Bulletin to determine whether your pistol requires a retrofit. Ruger-57 pistols with a serial number of 642-26275 and above are not affected by this Safety Bulletin.

Hold up??!! Where do you buy your ammo from 14$ for a box of 50 tf I thought academy had good prices

  48. 陆佳 on December 5, 2021 at 7:52 pm

I would like to know where to get a box of 5-7 for 15 bucks now days

  49. Atomic Statements on December 5, 2021 at 7:53 pm

LOL… Clearly this guy doesn’t know how to use Wikipedia.

The 5.7x28mm cartridge is a military cartridge created by Belgium firearms manufacturer FN. It’s a center-fire rifle cartridge developed from scratch without a parent case for use in full auto PDW. Hence all of the controversy, and why this firearm can’t be sold in Constitutionally criminal states like California and Massachusetts.

$14.99 for a box of 50👀👀 Lord have prices changed😩 I should have bought a bulk of 1000 for $240 with free shipping when I had the chance. But no I spent that check on my POS ex girlfriend.🤦😩🤦
