TFBTV Tours The Timney Triggers Factory

TFBTV Tours The Timney Triggers Factory

In this video, Patrick takes a tour of the Timney Triggers Factory. Timney has made a name for their self over the last six decades or so building some of the most reliable and cutting edge triggers on the market. Millions of hunters and sports shooters rely on them, and after seeing how precise the manufacturing process is, it is easy to see why.

Pretty big change of pace, but cool to see such a state-of-the-art factory in. That stuff is the future in action.

As a 38+ year CNC machinist and avid shooter , I am happy to see the technology I use every day being applied to the firearms industry to produce better quality and more accurate products ultimately more affordable. I don’t think it will be any time soon that automation will be able to do the final human touch adjustment and inspection though.

love timney triggers.. thanks for taking me there

  13. Whitehorze on November 19, 2021 at 6:42 pm

Wire EDM machines are no joke. They can hold tolerances of .0001 of an inch while burning through hardened tool steel. Because the wire never actually touches metal, the dimensions never change from one part to another.

  14. Adam Shafer on November 19, 2021 at 6:42 pm

very cool. always enjoy the factory tours. better appreciation for the product

  15. Doctor WarpSpeed on November 19, 2021 at 6:43 pm

looked like quite a bit of torque on a little screw without a in,lb clutch engaged on that drill. could easily be fubared.

the tour was really interesting, especially after purchasing a new trigger for my Browning XBolt 300 WM. it made a new gun out of it / better shooter out of me. Thanks Timney Triggers

  34. Will on November 19, 2021 at 7:04 pm

I thought you were going to go around "triggering" special-snowflakes with pro-gun statistics in public or something.
Although I was cearly off point, I was not disappointed…
    Plus; there’s always next time!
    (lol)

Great video. Nice to see a gun channel broadening the scope of material beyond "watch me shoot this gun."

  38. APB 28 on November 19, 2021 at 7:08 pm

when I first installed the timney trigger in my scar 16 I was getting light primer strikes. Magically though it seemed to fix itself because after the first hundred rounds I’ve had no light primer strikes. I know they were having trouble with the 17’s Soleil change the hammer spring, did the 16 have this issue?…I was shooting wolf gold

  39. OLD WIPPER-SNAPPER on November 19, 2021 at 7:08 pm

  41. SouthernViking on November 19, 2021 at 7:09 pm

Didn’t know Mike Pence designed triggers

  42. toddy2519 on November 19, 2021 at 7:10 pm

I too love factory tours! I have a Timney Competition 3-pound pull trigger in my CMT lower. Incredibly it breaks at 3 pounds every time and I’ve taken my gauge to the range to test it once in a while just to be sure it’s not deviating. I now have four timneys in several bolt action rifles and I don’t feel the need to ever buy another brand! Thanks for the video, Patrick!

  43. Carolus Rex on November 19, 2021 at 7:10 pm

    More!

  44. Chris Beem on November 19, 2021 at 7:11 pm

Absolutely love timney triggers. I have a 3.5lb single stage in one of my rifles and I plan on installing another in my current build.

5:39-6:11 was Duck Dynasty meets Queer Eye

  47. HDaviator on November 19, 2021 at 7:18 pm

Seeing this video makes me wonder why people worry about mexico or china taking people’s jobs. Clearly automation is a bigger concern, and this is proof. Sure, its important for the company to compete and human beings are inefficient. But in a few years there will be no manufacturing jobs left for blue collar workers and its not like they can all go into tech or become accountants. I fear what is ahead. Not being able to find work tends to make people angry.

  48. Jer emy on November 19, 2021 at 7:21 pm
