Just stumbled upon this and just wanted to say it’s so interesting how you’ve completely changed the vibe of this song for me. I always found the original a bit … ‘pushy’, for the lack of a better word. ("You SHOULD let me love you.") But your version made me realise that the lyrics are really sweet and somewhat desperate actually, coming from a genuine place. Or at least, that’s how I interpret the lyrics in your version, with the raw voice and emotion. So, amazing job, you transformed this song for me!
