My wife isn’t scared to be home alone with the kids at night when I’m working even though we are 10 miles out in the country and almost a mile from our closest neighbor. She does however like the piece of mind of being armed at home should something ever happen. The Taurus Judge helps level the playing field for sure!

Safety comes first with firearms, should have taught her to handle firearms before you went shooting. Finger on the trigger while handling huge mistake
1:40 her finger is on the trigger while she is loading. Force her to stop that bad habit now before an accident happens. Trigger control is priority number 1.

I didn’t like the judge and replaced it with a S&W governor.
It has a better trigger pull, is heavier/has less recoil, holds 6 rounds instead of five, and fires 410/,45LC/.45auto. It shoots .45 auto more accurately than my 1911.

Not the best choice for a home defense weapon, she would be better off with a Glock 19 or an AR-15

One time the shell expanded in between the cylinder and the barrel preventing it from rotating to the next round

You don’t want to use those bright red 00 buck those are cheap Chinese casings after about 10 shots the chamber will heat and expand the casings not by much but it’s enough to get the casings stuck

I noticed she was closing the opposite eye, and finger on trigger when when charging the weapon.
I was always taught a gun is like auto insurance, keep it in your glove box just in case. When trained correctly and in the right hands, a level head, a weapon is a good way to protect your life, loved ones too.

Out in the woods or at home: Im using 410

each state is different Daniel but I would like a deer hunt’n rifle then you know who is who in the darkness of the night what lady is going to turn on a light to shot or see who is there in the room with her it is what I have learnt from Officers here in the midwest
In Oregon we only have to have our guns locked in a safe, the gun has to have a trigger lock, and the ammunition and magazines can’t be in the same room. Our in town police response times average 45 minutes to two days. Should you be able to use your gun on an intruder, the first line of action is put the home owner immediately in jail to await trial. Looking for said intruder is an afterthought. Were what you call a Blue state. As of this post, it’s still mandatory to wear face masks while the rest of the country breathes freely. 🧐👍
