The worst "lemon" gun i’ve ever owned was a Springfield M1A "socom cqb"
it went back to springfield 3 times and constantly had ejection problems, and at least 3 FtF’s per mag. I eventually got it lemon law refunded (thanks kentucky)
since then rather than look to the high end first, i find what people seem to like and have good things to say about. I know this is a pistol & that was a rifle but, i think my choice with a G3c for my everyday carry was a good one. Of course I still have an FNX 45 tactical, and its never had a single malfunction but, hard to pack that sum’bitch around.

close to 1k rounds through my G3c and also, not a single malfunction.

I’ve only had/have PPK knock offs. Not encouraged to send hollow pt thru those – Astra, Bersa, Feg, etc. So I got a G3C at Cabelas. Home defense important.
I am OK with the safety though its design seems like a flimsy after thought.

Heard the Sig P226 mags work in it. Lakeline makes aftermarket parts.

I just picked this one up yesterday at academy based on your recommendation. $349.00 but it came with a red laser that attaches to the trigger guard. Pretty slick.

Nice review. Over 1000 rounds through mine, zero malfunctions.

I own FN9S & 40, SW MP 9 & 45’s (a ton of others & revolvers also) & honestly this is now my Christmas Gun for my wife to buy me this year. I steered a new gun buyer friend of mine to the G2c last year & she has had zero issues and is completely happy. It would be nice if you tossed in IWB recommendations

Excellent analysis of the good & the bad. I’m going to be a first time buyer. Nagel’s Gun Shop here in San Antonio has the Taurus G3C factory new in stock and the price is marked down from $339.65 to $259.99. Don’t see how I can go wrong. Thanks so much.

  14. John Owens on December 9, 2021 at 10:49 pm

My daughter has a G3c and the only issue was with flat tipped ammo, would not chamber a round. I cleaned up the feed ramp with my rotary tool and lubed it up good and that helped but not 100%. Tried Winchester and CCI Blazer brass 147gr ammo. The odd thing is my G2c, G3, Hellcat and Canik TP9SA all eat the same ammo with no problems. Anyone else have this happen? After hearing some CS horror stories I’m hesitant to send it in. May just buy a new barrel, I tried my G2c barrel in it and manually working the slide it worked.

  29. OMEGA-P _74 on December 9, 2021 at 11:08 pm

I sent my Recall G1 back for a replacement. I’ve heard it could take up to a year before I get a new one. Hopefully I get the G3C.

  30. Randy on December 9, 2021 at 11:09 pm

I can get one for $290

  31. nscurge on December 9, 2021 at 11:09 pm

  32. Timothy Williams on December 9, 2021 at 11:11 pm

I never owned a Taurus back in the old days when they had quality control issues, so I don’t know what others’ experiences were with the brand. But I own two Taurus pistols bought within the past three years and they are both outstanding. In particular, my G2C is the most reliable semi I have ever owned. I would estimate that I have put at least 2,500 rounds through it, all types of ammo, including cheap Russian crap. It has yet to misfire. Not one single malfunction. It is also the 2nd most accurate handgun I have ever used. The ONLY semi I would rate above it for accuracy it is my Llama mil spec 1911. I’m definitely going to pick up one of these smaller Taurus G3Cs.

  33. Greg Hartzell on December 9, 2021 at 11:12 pm

My made in Brazil, 2014 taurus 85 has been amazing over 600+ rounds. Im sure the made in USA taurus pistols are fantastic. I held a G3 and was really impressed. This might be my next gun

  34. Juan Sanchez on December 9, 2021 at 11:13 pm

I bought one as my first legal gun under my name at Academy sports and outdoors for $329.99 with a Viridian laser, now got it decked out with a Lakeline gold threaded barrel and a Tyrant black and gold compensator!

  35. Solid Penny Stocks & 52 Week Lows Rebounds on December 9, 2021 at 11:14 pm

Thanks for the video. I just wanted to confirm that the only difference between the Taurus G2C and a G3C is the sight. I do not care about the site. I will be using the red dot.

  36. Jerrod Dooley on December 9, 2021 at 11:14 pm

The only thing budget about them is the price. I switched from Glock to Taurus a couple years back. Best decision I’ve ever made, when it comes to firearms. They’re just as dependable as Glock and You can buy two of them for the price of one Glock.

  37. David Puglia on December 9, 2021 at 11:16 pm

A few suggestions for the G3C after using it for some time. The sights are Glock compatible so I put Tru-Glo sights on mine that are better than the Taurus stock sights. Big improvement from my perspective. Also, Taurus makes a black anodized upgraded barrel ($69) for the G3C so I swapped that with the stock barrel. In my case, the new barrel shot tighter groups with better accuracy. Prior to buying the G3C I only bought Glocks. So far the G3C is a good reliable gun. I’m still biased towards Glocks but happy with the G3C.

The gun shop near me charged me close to $400 for mine, but it was in 2021.
Maybe they went up in price sense then.

  49. Buck Melanoma on December 9, 2021 at 11:33 pm

not enough has been written about the G3c…it has been my daily carry since i was finally able to find one several months after they first came out…thank you, pandemic…i’ carry in the 12+1 configuration…a big THANK YOU to taurus for having an external safety on all of their products…i will NOT buy any gun that does NOT have the thumb safety…i have big hands and the 3c fits me perfectly…our state has no-license open-carry laws, but i still carry concealed as i have since we got our first CC laws in ’96…for me, it’s the perfect weapon…thanks, guys…
