The Taser is touted for saving lives and preventing injury, but a new study says that some police officers reach for the weapon too quickly. David Martin reports.
It’s just a tool. If abuse occurs, it’s the person behind the tool that’s at fault, not the tool.
what if you kill a good cop and that cop gets replaced with a cop that abuses the law and makes life miserable for the community then how is that gonna make things better? not to mention people now know your a killer, and there goes your life down the drain.

The Smith brothers claims about safety is based on speculation, not science. Every human is different and what is a safe does of electricity to "incapacitate" one individual can be lethal for another. The sad truth is that they are over-selling their product under the guise of safety and a ill-conceived panacea.
Explain this too me. CONTROL. When dad or grandpa or grandma have a heart attack or stroke. The EMS use a difibulater to start their heart. To save his life. Now that gives a small jolt of electricity to start the heart. THEN you use a taser to control a non violent person. Just to make one “ comply” with demands. Mostly illegal DEMANDS! But now that low voltage or higher, for longer period of time, to inoperable, no, effect muscles. Stop muscles. Incapacitate a muscle. If I remember correctly and it is still taught THAT your heart is a MUSCLE. Electricity starts one. But if it’s a healthy heart. Then apply ELECTRICITY and you get confused to the fact that you just KILLED somebody. Somebody’s parent or child. Shoot first and ask questions later. Why NOT ask them now, before. Is what I am saying true? Ask a doctor not the company that makes and sells it for profit. Ask an officer if they would like it if their child were to be pulled over, while traveling and far from home. And that said child encounters said police officer and did, said and forced the same control. Who would you blame? The adult child or police officer. What ever happened to, “ Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
As is your baton or duty weapon the taser is merely a tool, when used correctly it can easily defuse a volatile situation though when used improperly it can be a danger in itself
Wow, that Taser founder trying to say that it wasn’t the Taser that actually killed those people. Sure, they just coincidentally died after being shocked with a Taser. Totally unrelated. Not because of a jolt of electricity, nope.

this is just another one of those moments where not all cops are bad, yes there are cops out there that shouldn’t be cops because their judgement can be bad but again like they said because of this tool its better than resorting to deadly force where the chances of someone getting killed sky rocket
