The Springfield XD and the XDm series of pistols just rock. If you have ever had any experience shooting one of them, you know they are a total riot! I shoot better with an XD than with a Glock. Most users will shoot the XD better due to its better ergonomic grip that feels oh, so comfortable.
The XD pistol in stainless steel ranks up on the top of my list for a service pistol. What I mean by service pistol is that it is great for LEO’s and open carry. I believe it is much to large to be comfortably carried every day in a concealed holster. You just won’t appreciate it. A Glock 26 offers a much smaller and comfortable option for you as a backup weapon or a primary concealed/open carry option for you as a civilian.
The Glock pistols can fully shine in the sub-compact role whereas the full size ones just don’t feel good in my hands.

Have two XDM 3.8s (40 w/ 16+1 & 9 w 19+1). Used the 9 today in a Run & Gun Competition. I think they’re great pistols. Love my Glocks too along with my other pistols; have half a dozen Glocks. Like all my handguns, really non better than another; from very expensive to moderately priced.
I owned my XD-40 service for little over a year now & must say I wish I could shoot it everyday cause I love the feel of it so much in my hands over my Glock 19 which i’m selling so I can buy another XD but in 10mm. I live in CA not a free state so my logic is might as well go with big calibers since it’s only 10 rounds a magazine and the only up side to owning a 9mm is holding over 15 near 20 rounds a magazine these days. also I been shooting my dads 1911’s 45acp, S&W 357 magnums growing up & 9mm espionage the Glock 19 is just boring I rather shoot a 22 for plinking at the range & the 9mm just feels like a glorified plinker much rather have an XD40 , 357 or 10mm as my side arm.

Thanks. I had to choose between a Glock 21 and a SA XD 45. The XD Looked like a "customized" Glock. The Glock looked, kinda, squarish,blocky and borish. (YAWN). I bought the XD.
Love this gun. I have it in 9mm, 45, and the 5 inch XD40 .40. I have Glocks too. I just enjoy guns.

Never got the low capacity of this pistol, same pistol in 9mm has 16 round mag, so seems like the 40 should’ve been able to pack at least 13 or even 14 in there. I also shoot XD better than Glock, as much as it pains me to say it, because I love me some Glock
I don’t mind holster ware. I consider it confidence in your sidearm
I got the 357 Sig and it’s accurate way out there. I shoot at 30 ft instead of 21 it’s to easy. I think they r a little clunky but I will eat that for the accuracy and dependability every time. I like it better over the Glock because of the grip safety. I feel much better carrying it where I know it won’t go off by any freak accident. I think XD is one of the better pistols out there and Iam a 1911 guy.🇺🇸

I love my XD40 best purchase I’ve ever made. I recently added the Trijicon HD night sights to it and its made this fantastic machine even better. XD> Glock

The only problem that I’ve found is getting good tactical holsters for the XD, but I’m sold on them. I’ve got a 9mm tactical and a.45 tactical as well. Love the 5” barrel. The Croats know how to make a good gun, after all they’ve been killin each other for years! 💪🙌🤟🤙👊

Bologna on the glock finish. I have a glock and it is worn from sliding in and out of the holster too. I like Springfield and have three XD-9’s.

My EDC has been a gen 3 Glock 26 for over a year now, my wife wanted to carry as well and said she wanted something like a Glock, we ended up getting her the XD 9, she picked it up on Friday, and all weekend I’ve been looking at it, jealous af because honestly, it shoots beautifully and now I’m considering buying myself one. Because she won’t even let me look at hers now 😂 she can’t hold my RIA FS m1911a1 Tac Ultra then!!!
I got good news about round count….you can muscle a 13th round in the xd magazine load one in the head and put a 13th back in the mag….my xd40 holds 14 total
The XD is garbage just like this review. Glock, HK, Sig, S&W, god knows how many others are all better than this junk. With any kind of heavy use Roll Pins back out. The trigger safety sear fails and literally locks the slide forward with your gun loaded and makes your gun a paperweight. There is a reason why literally no police departments carry this junk.

Does anyone know why I’m having a hard time with the mag release on my XDm 9mm ? I just bought it on a Black Friday sale . It just too stiff . It just got super stuck and took over a minute for it to release . Springfield Armory is closed for Thanksgiving so I can’t call them Maybe oil it ?

I am a laser with any xd service. That extra round, the sights and the trigger are excellent right out of box. The glock needs to be tailored. Just wish mags were more plentiful the price of mags kills it for folks

I think the newer xds even the standard model have a melonite finish

Nice video I have had my XDM 40 for 8 years now, fired over 10,000 rounds thru it. It is the best gun I’ve shot hands down. I carry it everyday. On a side note I have the 16 round clip.
The two features of the XD that I like are the chamber loaded & stricker cocked indicators.
