I just picked up a brand new Smith & Wesson expandable baton — aka telescoping baton; aka collapsable baton — and wanted to do a review of it. See how this baton compares to my cheap, keychain baton, and learn a little bit more about why it’s worth it to shell out a few extra bucks for a decent baton.
I don’t think these are worth occupying your grip if you train in hand to hand. A punch is much more solid and harder to see coming. Against knives I’d rather have pepper spray.

I usually carry my Ruger LC9s for self defense, unfortunately my neighbors have a very very unruly Pitbull (and my small community town doesn’t have an animal control office) that likes to break out a lot, I’d much rather not get into a shooting match in my very much compact neighborhood with a Pitbull so I’ve found the collapsible nightstick to be my perfect carry when taking my dogs out for a walk.

In my country you’re not allowed to carry even the mini expandable baton because it’s a crime against ‘the knife law.’ Yes, my country is a fucking joke.

Combine that with pepper spray and your good imagine getting hit in the arms with a baton while trying to rub away the pepper spray from your face that would suck

The kid at the hardware store gave me some thick hunks of wood for free, perfect for closing it indoors when you’re playing around with it at home.

Yeah whatever I really don’t want to do this review but you know kind of like let me show you this holster like you can put it in the holster and you can take it out of the holster and you can put it back in the holster or you can not put in the holster at all and maybe I’ll do it later review on the holster but until then I’m going to drag this out as long as possible and that’s about it
If you’re gonna carry it out as a civvy, put it under your jacket or hoodie, might be illegal depending on area but yes you will look suspect/weird with it showing on your belt.
*Hmm i like the idea of this completely i like a little longer one but to each his own, the flashlight is a nice touch too though*
