Jeff it wouldn’t hurt my feelings of you sent me one for, um, testing.

I just picked up this gun and I absolutely love it. I don’t even wish it were 22 magnum as it’s so much quieter and less likely to deafen everyone if I had to use indoors in a defensive situation. I ran 400 rounds of CCI mini-mag and 50 rounds of CCI Stinger without a single hiccup. Every. Round. Went. Bang. This gun is now among my most reliable handguns and one I would not hesitate to grab it in an emergency situation. The accuracy was excellent with the Mini-mags (tested out to 20 yards) but not as good with the Stingers. The trigger pull weight is deceiving. I did not find the pull to be too excessive or annoying even after 450 rounds. Most importantly, it’s so buttery smooth that it was so easy to use DA and keep right on target unlike my other revolvers. I had to pay $700 for this gun (I’m in Europe) and I still have no buyer’s remorse. It’s an excellent firearm and I would trust my life with it if I had to.

I’ll think of you every time I shoot this gun. So sad you’re gone.

  6. Confusious on December 2, 2021 at 6:58 pm

Another way over priced gun like Taurus new 8 shot going for $370 – $400 and s&w 7 round over $500 for there.22 magnum. And now Rugers for mid $400 and higher. Are they smoking crack. When you can get a quality 9mm semi auto for less then what they are asking, your a fool to buy any of these.

  7. mr katz on December 2, 2021 at 6:58 pm

If the LCRx 22 mag had 8 ….and 8 in the snub….I’d by that too….

  8. Wilfer Zuleta on December 2, 2021 at 6:58 pm

Lol…people don’t want extra holes in them. I LOVE IT!

  9. Thomas Osteen on December 2, 2021 at 6:59 pm

    will this shoot 22shorts

  10. Luke Diehl on December 2, 2021 at 7:01 pm

Say what you want about a .22, every year at butchering time my dad would dust off his old single action Ruger and load up half a cylinder of cheap Remington ammo that was older than me. The past few years he’s had me take the shot because his hands shake so bad now. Only once have I ever needed a follow up shot. If a point blank shot can drop a half ton steer, it can do the same to a person

Great video. Rest in peace Jeff Quinn. We miss you and the high quality videos you did.

  12. Jayman on December 2, 2021 at 7:02 pm

This is the gun I want. Hey do you know if CCI mini mags run in that gun? I have thousands of rounds of CCI Mini mags is why I ask.

  13. Oe Downing on December 2, 2021 at 7:03 pm

    Great review, and great revolver….

  14. Jeff Lardizabal on December 2, 2021 at 7:03 pm

Love it! Great feel in the hand off the holster and carries well. For those complaining of heavy trigger pull, grow stronger LOL!!!

  15. Jack Daniel. on December 2, 2021 at 7:04 pm

I’m trading my Taurus 92 for one these Rugers today. I own the Ruger sp101 and a few others. Love revolvers.

  16. TLM357 on December 2, 2021 at 7:05 pm

Good carry gun. Get a Hogue boot grip and dremel it a bit and the gun is a good bit more concealable. The standard grips are great for all other shooting.

  17. Steve R. on December 2, 2021 at 7:06 pm

Will the grip on this fit on the snubbies? Thought it might be an option for me to handle recoil in my 327lcr so I can load up the full tilt 327 rounds instead of just 32h&r’s. Thx.

  18. Jonathan Allen on December 2, 2021 at 7:07 pm

.22mag pistol is like having a .22lr rifle in a compact package.

  19. ImGrampy on December 2, 2021 at 7:09 pm

Jeff, I’d like your opinion on 22lr ammo. Jhp ammo is normally preferred for self- defense, but I’ve also seen people say to use round nose to ensure good penetration so bullet is sure to rattle around once inside. Your thoughts? Love your videos. Thanks

  20. Matt Geiger on December 2, 2021 at 7:11 pm

I’ve never liked holes in me neither

Been looking for a good 22lr pistol. Thanks for the video Jeff. Take care and God Bless

  24. Trapper Cody on December 2, 2021 at 7:14 pm

Thatd make a dandy little trapline revolver

  25. EcchiSpud on December 2, 2021 at 7:16 pm

I wonder how this would compare w/ the SP101 22lr as a kit gun.

  26. sms042 on December 2, 2021 at 7:16 pm

One of the best. And the gun is great too.

  27. Doc Bailey on December 2, 2021 at 7:18 pm

    Damn right. For all Merkins.

  28. Slaughter Hound on December 2, 2021 at 7:19 pm

It may not be the best thing going, but .22 caliber’s original purpose was self-defense and eight rounds of long rifle will change the minds of a bad guy or two real fast.

  29. Winged on December 2, 2021 at 7:22 pm

    I hope he had snapcaps. I wouldn’t do that to a 22

  30. TLM357 on December 2, 2021 at 7:23 pm

Cant figure why hogue doesnt make the boot grip for the lcrx. You shouldnt have to grind out the grips to fit a gun thats been on the market for 6 years!

  31. Ruben Gonzales on December 2, 2021 at 7:27 pm

Dam he’s long winded bla bla bla shoot the dam thing

  32. SpartacusColo on December 2, 2021 at 7:28 pm

Massachusetts considers this an assault weapon?

  33. Steven Haire on December 2, 2021 at 7:28 pm

Sorry but it’s ugly as hell to me at least I gotta have a classic style revolver

  34. Juan A on December 2, 2021 at 7:28 pm

Beautiful music. And excellent gun too!! I’m getting the 22wmr version. Nice video!!!

  35. Jayman on December 2, 2021 at 7:32 pm

    Gotta love this guy!!

Awesome lil gun and an awesome gun guy.. always enjoy his reviews & content.

  37. Tom Pedersen on December 2, 2021 at 7:35 pm

You consistently produce some of the most comprehensive and factual reviews on YouTube. Thanks for being here. Great stuff.

  38. Jamie Estevez on December 2, 2021 at 7:35 pm

I’m a California boy who loves Southerners. Maybe it’s because Mama’s from Mizzura (Missouri) and Great Grandad was from the hills of Tennessee. I don’t know what it was but this brown skinned California boy (who’s pushing 40 years old) has always felt right at home around people with a Southern drawl.

  39. Nancy M-R on December 2, 2021 at 7:36 pm

Well, I love this one too. Will it shoot .22 shorts as well?

  40. Archie Mitchell on December 2, 2021 at 7:38 pm

Hey ruger make it 8 shots in 22 mag and it will sell like hot cakes !!!!!!!!!

  41. Uhh Idk on December 2, 2021 at 7:40 pm

    I miss him.

  42. Delmus Ingle on December 2, 2021 at 7:42 pm

Probably not as effective a self defense weapon as my 60 cal machine gun but it is much lighter.

  43. Dick Tickles on December 2, 2021 at 7:42 pm

Tell Ruger we want the .327, .357, and 9mm in the 3 inch LCRx.

  44. littleteethkeith on December 2, 2021 at 7:45 pm

Cool gun. RIP Jeff. You got me back into guns back in 2011.

  45. kippercat123 on December 2, 2021 at 7:46 pm

  49. Jared Denison on December 2, 2021 at 7:47 pm

  50. wxfield on December 2, 2021 at 7:51 pm

12+ lbs trigger pull when new…ouch. It gets better when you get past 200+ rnds..but man is that a tough gun to shoot accurately with that much pull.
