Gotta love bolt action .308 rifles, especially savage

  2. SMPRFLY on December 3, 2021 at 10:38 pm

Good video. I am supposing that the rifle is basically a hunting rifle opposed to a true scout rifle. Is that correct? I guess I can look it up, but
because of the length of the rifle, I was basically wondering if it is trying to compete with the Springfield Scout or SOCOM? If it is trying to
compete with those rifles, I am thinking the bolt action will keep it from doing so.

  3. Hartley Moore on December 3, 2021 at 10:38 pm

Whats the base modle run on this price wise?

  4. Mike S on December 3, 2021 at 10:38 pm

Got the same scope on a .44 mag Chiappa Alaskan and I quite like it!

  5. dirtydog288 on December 3, 2021 at 10:39 pm

What do you think about putting red dot sight on, and what was tthat scope 1.5x 4 x20?

  6. Jörgen Kuuskne on December 3, 2021 at 10:40 pm

How long is pull in shortest setting?

  7. InAllSeriousness88 on December 3, 2021 at 10:40 pm

Next Sturgis bike week I’m looking for you James! Maybe you can show me some ninja tricks

  8. NO ONE YOU KNOW on December 3, 2021 at 10:41 pm

whats your take on the ruger gunsite scout? 🙂

  9. antonio campos on December 3, 2021 at 10:43 pm

    My man love you bro

  10. ichor20 on December 3, 2021 at 10:44 pm

    I want one!

  11. ishd bfsh on December 3, 2021 at 10:45 pm

    @ James Yeager
What are the magwell and magazine latch made out of aluminum, steel, or polymer?

  12. reednpr12 on December 3, 2021 at 10:46 pm

Is this a control feed or push feed action? Thanks

  13. Bunker troll 81 on December 3, 2021 at 10:47 pm

    Nice gun💪🏻

  14. Arturo S. on December 3, 2021 at 10:48 pm

    Committed

  15. Rydeman on December 3, 2021 at 10:48 pm

I want one of these puppies to hunt with. Would make a sweet gun hauling through dense woods and tree stands/ blinds being as short as it is. A .308 will kill anything in my area of East Tennessee.

  16. frankcastle7777 on December 3, 2021 at 10:48 pm

A lot of features for the price!

  17. Anthony Doulas on December 3, 2021 at 10:51 pm

Can u get Savage 110 scout 450 BM in 10 round mags

  18. ROMAN STANISZEWSKI on December 3, 2021 at 10:51 pm

    IS THAT GUN CHAMBERED IN 7.62 X 39 ?

  19. Davey Hogan on December 3, 2021 at 10:52 pm

Do they make a 5 round mag for this? .308

  20. rsll510 on December 3, 2021 at 10:53 pm

    What great improvements from Savage!!

  21. Rob Lasher on December 3, 2021 at 10:53 pm

    Awesome rifle!👍

  22. bryan faulkenburg on December 3, 2021 at 10:55 pm

I have thought about this before , I have never researched this either . I wonder if an AR self contained trigger group could be made with an Accu-trigger style trigger shoe . I really like my Accu-trigger on my Savage rifle .

  23. ministickman01 on December 3, 2021 at 11:01 pm

Do they make them in different colour stocks?

  24. Sam G on December 3, 2021 at 11:02 pm

I’m seriously thinking of buying this rifle my only concern is the scope. Do you need a long eye relief scope, I just bought a Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24×50 mm

  25. arcy swopes on December 3, 2021 at 11:04 pm

    If it ain’t raining you ain’t training 🤠. Awesome video,in the rain,so cool…..

  26. Libertarian79 on December 3, 2021 at 11:06 pm

I am really liking that rifle, and another one added to my list.

  27. Andy on December 3, 2021 at 11:12 pm

Hey James I have the original savage scout based on your first video series. Is it worth upgrading to the Gen 2? I’ve had some feeding issues with mine because of the magazine design.

  28. Bruce Novotny on December 3, 2021 at 11:13 pm

Very nice, man… very nice!!! I don’t think we have ( or even can ) get this upgraded version here in Canada 🇨🇦.
From what I have watched on YouTube the original concept mags sucked.

  29. The Shepherd Project on December 3, 2021 at 11:13 pm

I went and bought one because of your first series, read more about Jeff cooper and took a class. I love this rifle concept

  30. Kyle Mitchell on December 3, 2021 at 11:13 pm

Granted this is three years old but any long term thoughts on this rifle

  31. Chris 338 on December 3, 2021 at 11:17 pm

Savage makes really good shooters put the right glass on them hard to beat them

  32. David J Irvin on December 3, 2021 at 11:20 pm

Great job I’ve never seen anybody stick it out in the rain before to do a review

  33. weth56 on December 3, 2021 at 11:22 pm

May I ask why you mounted the scope infront of the ejection cut out rather than overtop? Does the scope have a very long eye relief?

  34. ExcessHorsepower on December 3, 2021 at 11:22 pm

Thumbs up just for doing the video in the pouring rain.

  35. MAS Grey on December 3, 2021 at 11:22 pm

That’s one way to keep your barrell cooled down. Nice video.

  36. Donald Holmes on December 3, 2021 at 11:26 pm

What do you think about this rifle in .338 Federal, now that it is an option?

  37. justus005 on December 3, 2021 at 11:26 pm

Hopefully they make a lefty version of this

  38. Frank_dado_Potts on December 3, 2021 at 11:27 pm

That’s the one I want…the hole setup would be perfect for me. ..love it…

  39. Leonard Williamson on December 3, 2021 at 11:28 pm

Thoughts between the Ruger Scout rifle and the Savage?

  40. Gerald Deas on December 3, 2021 at 11:28 pm

In Oregon we hunt in the rain every year. No problem 🦌

  41. Eric Day on December 3, 2021 at 11:28 pm

Any concern of rain entering the barrel prior to firing a shot?

  42. GTM on December 3, 2021 at 11:31 pm

There is a conversation worth having about shooting bolt guns in the rain vs auto guns. Ask Rex Tibor, he thinks it’s fairly risky.

  43. Basil Fawlty lll on December 3, 2021 at 11:31 pm

Good move wearing those sunglasses. You don’t wanna end up with cataracts from too much bright sunlight.

  44. Keelan Miles on December 3, 2021 at 11:33 pm

I am not sure if you covered this, but why did you ho with the Savage over other options?

  45. darren m on December 3, 2021 at 11:34 pm

I have the older version in .308
The stock is very cheap looking but seems to work. I like this stock a lot more. Overall cool rifle

  46. Roberts Bushcraft on December 3, 2021 at 11:35 pm

Which do you prefer, the Mossberg MVP or this Savage?

  47. robby drain iv on December 3, 2021 at 11:35 pm

James , does that brake help with recoil…
