Savage Renegauge Shotgun – FAST!

Savage Renegauge Shotgun – FAST!

Check out the new shotgun from Savage called the Renegauge! The gas system is what makes it different. It’s called the D.R.I.V system and it stands for Dual Regulating Inline Valve gas system. In simple terms, it regulates just the right amount of gas to cycle the bolt, meaning that the shotgun can operate efficiently whether using low recoil birdshot or heavy magnums.

Beretta a400 is still the best semi auto

  2. Harm Jass on December 6, 2021 at 10:48 pm

It’s made in America. Good enough for me 🇺🇸

  3. Matt st. thomas on December 6, 2021 at 10:50 pm

$1500.00 for a new semi auto thats unproven? Doesn’t chamber 3.5 inch? They basically tell you not to buy it when they tell you the market is already saturated with proven systems and for less!

  4. Alex the Hun on December 6, 2021 at 10:50 pm

Yeah this gun is made for rich boomer elitist assholes not for peasants like me who use Mossberg. Not buying it.

  5. TurtleWolf Pack on December 6, 2021 at 10:51 pm

Looks like a redesigned ripoff of the Remington/Benelli gas system.

    Boring.

  8. Lloyd Ralph on December 6, 2021 at 10:54 pm

Savage is going to shoot them selves in the foot . this gun has nothing to offer over the $ 1500 B gun semis . their msrp is 40 to 50 % over where they need to be jumping into the semi shotgun market jmo . thanks for the video .

  9. BF_ outdoors on December 6, 2021 at 10:56 pm

    Love the gun 10/10 recommended

  10. BIG AL GUN FUN on December 6, 2021 at 10:56 pm

My Mossberg 930 has a self adjusting gas system at half the price. I run 8 slugs in 1.64 seconds and I’m just a hobby shooter. It also loves birdshot, 4 buck, 00 buck, 3 inch Magnum buckshot and slugs. Seems like the Mossberg 930 is the perfect choice. Holds 7 plus 1 with 2 3/4 shells.
I’ve run it hard for about 4 years now and it’s definitely my favorite shotgun out of the 10 I own. 👍👍👍🙂

  11. MrPHATSPEED on December 6, 2021 at 10:57 pm

$1500… Nope. I’ll stick with my Franchi.

  12. Young_of_the_mill on December 6, 2021 at 10:57 pm

    Looks wide

  13. Second-Guess Always on December 6, 2021 at 11:00 pm

How does this compare to the Beretta 1301?

  14. Leif Hoklin on December 6, 2021 at 11:01 pm

Beretta a400 money for a Savage. No thanks.

  15. Big Racer on December 6, 2021 at 11:02 pm

Who cares how fast it is. You not going to hunt like that. If you are, maybe a bit more practice you need. But dang, the price! DAUM! Ugly as sin too.

  16. shanhoff hoffman on December 6, 2021 at 11:02 pm

New American made shotgun, and already we have folks bitching about the price. Europeans have no problems selling guns at this price, Browning sells Japanese and Belgian guns at these prices, yet you think American shotguns should be priced like the shotguns of the Turkish Islamic Caliphate. I’m glad Savage didn’t take the easy way out and just have the Turks build it for them, maybe they will after you all bitch enough about having to pay $1500 dollars (it will most likely be in the 1200-1300 dollar range at retailers) for an innovative American shotgun built by your fellow Americans… jeez. You say Make America Great Again, damn do your part.

  17. sinistar426 on December 6, 2021 at 11:03 pm

    $1500.00… PASS.

  18. huntinjunkie on December 6, 2021 at 11:04 pm

Wow….The description of the new DRIV system is just like the REMINGTON VERSAMAX gas system that was released back in 2010. Regulates the gas that drives the action based on the size of the load.

  19. Bill Stidams on December 6, 2021 at 11:04 pm

For that price I’d buy a Beretta A400 extreme.. proven platform.. plus can use 3-1/2 shells.. or wait couple years and buy this Savage for $600 because they can’t sell them for that price. Lol

  20. Joe Franklin on December 6, 2021 at 11:04 pm

The name is stupid. Fluted barrel on a shotgun? Really? $1550 msrp. I’d probably buy an SBE3 instead.

  21. Brent Winkelman on December 6, 2021 at 11:09 pm

Wonder if it would cycle metro loads

  22. MÖTHMÄN on December 6, 2021 at 11:09 pm

I handled one of these at my local gun store and I must say that I’m impressed. I think people are making too much out of the price and aren’t really understanding that it’s meant to compete with something like a benelli. It’s not meant to be compared to a 930 or an 1100.

  23. Michael Tsurkan on December 6, 2021 at 11:09 pm

$1500. Yeah that’s gonna be a no for me

  24. Omnihil777 on December 6, 2021 at 11:10 pm

Too expensive. Sorry, savage. like your guns, but…

  25. Army Pathfinder on December 6, 2021 at 11:13 pm

    Beretta A400 Plus

  26. FishingupstateNY on December 6, 2021 at 11:14 pm

My Remington 1187 has been doing everything that gun claims to do for 20 years for far less money

  27. God’s little Man on December 6, 2021 at 11:17 pm

    Why would I spend 1500 on a gun that doesn’t shoot 3 1/2 magnums?

  28. Yoo Toob on December 6, 2021 at 11:20 pm

Keep mentioning the gas system but not explaining how it actually works.

  29. ed miller on December 6, 2021 at 11:23 pm

$1500!!!! The new Mossberg 940 JM Pro is less than that and it’s way more gun!

  30. پاشی خم💔 on December 6, 2021 at 11:27 pm

  31. Edward Abraham III on December 6, 2021 at 11:29 pm

Need 1 that could run 3.5 shells

  32. God’s little Man on December 6, 2021 at 11:30 pm

I thought I’d never even consider a 3 inch magnum, until I threw it up and pointed it. I’m going to have to have one now. I will deal with the 3 1/2 problem later. Prolly just buy a case of Boss shells.

  33. Stanley From on December 6, 2021 at 11:31 pm

    It’s my next shotgun

  34. Hobey Baughman on December 6, 2021 at 11:31 pm

The problem here is that it’s only a 3" gun according to the specs shown at the beginning

  35. LockNLoad on December 6, 2021 at 11:31 pm

Haha didn’t Savage/Stevens flop on the last attempt at a semi auto shotgun. $1500 for a 3 inch chamber……….? 🤔👎🏻

  36. Xavier on December 6, 2021 at 11:31 pm

The picture of the tree was nice and all but you should have put the shotgun in the thumbnail

  37. country life on December 6, 2021 at 11:34 pm

Hope they make pump shotgun next 12 or 20

  38. bosstube on December 6, 2021 at 11:34 pm

Y’all gonna do the new python

  39. NoDice on December 6, 2021 at 11:35 pm

who are you and what have you done with the Joel that only does precision rifle reviews

  40. Mike Lara on December 6, 2021 at 11:35 pm

To late and the price point is too high considering you can get a berretta a400 extrema plus for only 100 dollars more and it will cycle everything.

  41. Joe Jackson on December 6, 2021 at 11:36 pm

Looks like the same gas system as the Remington Versa Max. Pretty pricey.

  42. Thomas Hennessey III on December 6, 2021 at 11:37 pm

I’ll like but I’ll only have one if it’s between 600 and 800 not 1500 I am out

  43. Antonio Escobar on December 6, 2021 at 11:38 pm

Beretta a400 takes pretty much any shell not anything new

  44. Nathan Vogt on December 6, 2021 at 11:38 pm

Savage: Hi America, check out this cool shotgun we stole from Remington just like we did with our rifle line. We are such innovators in this industry

  45. Big D on December 6, 2021 at 11:39 pm

Somehow Savage is the company that comes up with the most interesting innovation. Not sure what the street price will be , but a beautiful and high performance firearm by Savage. Savage started the whole light trigger movement years ago. They single handedly changed the industry.

  46. mdredheadguy1979 on December 6, 2021 at 11:39 pm

Please clarify, when using 2 3/4" shells, can it hold five shells in the magazine tub?

  47. Minimalist Outdoors on December 6, 2021 at 11:41 pm

I use nothing but Savage, LSI, Ruger, S&W, and CZ USA on my hunting channel here on YouTube. Savage has become top of the firearm industry in a short period.

  48. hissinggoose on December 6, 2021 at 11:41 pm

$1500 USD MSRP roughly equates to $1600 CDN street price. For $50 CDN more you can get a Fabarm XLR5 Waterfowler (camo) or an A400 extreme+ (black) for $150 more… or a V3 Waterfowl Pro for $200 less. it better be amazing.

  49. Carlos Trujillo on December 6, 2021 at 11:43 pm

For a savage id say $700 and under and you might see sales

  50. Matt Ganja on December 6, 2021 at 11:45 pm

Looks like they tried to make a remington versamax. The versamax is proven, takes up to 3.5 shells, and costs less. I love all my savage bolt action rifles, however this shotgun is far from a game changer. I admire thier ambition, but there is no shame is sticking to what your best at. This will unfortunately fail miserably.
