Now does this come with iron sights or do you have to order ? Dont know why they went away from factory sights wth.

  2. Bue Fish on November 24, 2021 at 10:23 pm

I seen one the other day for 259 was wondering if that was a good deal

I have one of these new models with the accu-trigger. It’s a really nice shooter. I have to say the open sights and the stock 5 round mag are terrible. The sights were not even close to being accurate and no amount of adjustment would work. No matter since I put a scope on it but kind of ridiculous. The mag is total trash. The rounds pop out just from seating the mag in the rifle and attempting to run the bolt. All 5 rounds completely spring right out of the mag. I called Savage customer service to take a look at both issues and they wouldnt do anything about it. I like the rifle and it shoots well, my son and I have shot it out to 300 yards and hit our steel targets. But the whole situation really gave me a sour feeling on Savage. I have a number of older Savage model rifles that are excellent but I dont see myself buying anything new anytime soon. Too many options out there to explore.

I have the Savage 22 Magnum 65M made in the early to mid 1960s. It was my Dad’s and sat without a magazine for over 55 years. I ordered the magazine and have it in the rifle. The gun cleaned up like new. It had been fired less than 100 times when my Dad was killed in 1966. It’s a tight solid accurate gun with plenty of fire power and accurate at 200 yds. I love it. Dont know why I waited so long. My mom passed and my step Dad of 53 yrs said Tammy you know that’s your gun. It was your Dad’s. Of course I knew it was his. I was not quite 5 when he died. It’s an emotional time but I’ve found satisfaction and peace putting the 22 Mag back into action. Thanks. I love the 93 magnum and the new 93 17 R as well. Thanks for your video. Loved it.

*Yeah that’s right NJ I have a high capacity BB gun, and I love it.>>>**ur2.pl/949** Seriously how is this a "firearm?" You need to get your sh’t together NJ. I could shoot myself at point blank with this thing and barely feel it. My father had to fill out the same paperwork to purchase a sniper rifle just to get me my first air rife, and that was years ago.*

  11. bmoorear on November 24, 2021 at 10:33 pm

I have watched this video a few times now and just ordered this rifle today. I have the accutrigger one coming to my FFL. I have the 93r17gv (heavy barrel wood stock 17hmr) and I love it. I like that they will both use the same magazines. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

    Great yote rifle! https://youtu.be/jIR5aR6nzto

  14. Wayne Eden on November 24, 2021 at 10:35 pm

Can the savage bolt n barrel ordered with a wooden stick, there are some of us that might still want a 22mag with a wooden stock, wayneeden95@gmail.com

  15. Terry Heebner on November 24, 2021 at 10:36 pm

    Sootch…what bi-pod do you recommend?

  16. Charley Crawford on November 24, 2021 at 10:40 pm

Need some group testing at 150 and 200yrds.

  17. shane3000 on November 24, 2021 at 10:42 pm

    $100, it’s $240 at bass pro

  18. BuzzedLightyear on November 24, 2021 at 10:43 pm

Even if they did change the logo to be PC, that’s definitely a good thing lol. Calling a Native American a savage is about on par with calling a black person the N-word.

  19. John Shuman on November 24, 2021 at 10:45 pm

Good review, savage rifles are tack drivers

  20. Oscar Villalobos on November 24, 2021 at 10:45 pm

Which one would you prefer cz 455 or this one?

  21. ozzie Roger on November 24, 2021 at 10:47 pm

Hi, thank’s for the vid I have a Merlin .17 hmr and if you put the two together and stood back hard to tell the difference one thing don’t dry fire to much as all rimfire can damage the firing pin or maybe brack them but all in all nice video good insight. Thank you.

  22. Dennis Graham on November 24, 2021 at 10:52 pm

    Blackhawk bipod. Sorry

  23. Jody Stark on November 24, 2021 at 10:53 pm

I’ve had this 22 for 5 years and haven’t got around to adding any scope to it . Do you have reference video on how you added the rail onto the rifle ?

  24. Dennis Graham on November 24, 2021 at 10:53 pm

I took my brand new Model 93 with accu-trigger out to the range last week and enjoyed shooting it. though the bolt was abit stiff at first.

  25. bmoorear on November 24, 2021 at 10:53 pm

Really good video, thanks for posting. Does the low comb of the stock bother you? I like the 93’s a little better than the new B22’s for the stock looks a little low.

  26. sniperdoug1969 on November 24, 2021 at 10:53 pm

What mounts did you use for your scope?

  27. Chris Lange on November 24, 2021 at 10:53 pm

I just bought one of these today, I will be putting a similar setup on it

  28. Csrencz on November 24, 2021 at 10:54 pm

Bought my Savage 93 based on this review. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks Sootch00!

  29. William Harvey on November 24, 2021 at 10:58 pm

  31. Dennis Graham on November 24, 2021 at 11:04 pm

Found out today that mine Does Not like the Browning 22 MAG ammo. It doesn’t like Winchester Super X either.

  32. PRO PNOTUNER on November 24, 2021 at 11:04 pm

I almost bought 2 Savage Mkii from Walmart but when the trigger locks were removed they didn’t have Accutrigger. Trigger pull was about 10 lbs. and not adjustable. I teach youth shooters so that just wasn’t going to work.

    I love your clips, Sir

  34. merc6 on November 24, 2021 at 11:05 pm

Fast forward to now and .22 magnum ammo is the best deal that I have found at a local shop. 18.99 for a box of 50 of the cci maxi varmint. They had some of the same in target ammo as well at the same price. The price is still crazy but I am not going to spend a dollar a round on .223 Tulammo.

  35. Mark Eisenhower on November 24, 2021 at 11:05 pm

    Its accurate

  36. Masen Messersmith on November 24, 2021 at 11:06 pm

I’ve got a question. I just bought that same gun and it didn’t come with a scope base, so I was wondering what kind of scope base u had on that gun so I could go buy one myself!

  37. windel rapinan on November 24, 2021 at 11:06 pm

  38. Dennis Graham on November 24, 2021 at 11:10 pm

  42. clinnyboy on November 24, 2021 at 11:14 pm

Savage 93’s; a great little rifle with the shitiest magazines made!

  43. Quiet Cowboy on November 24, 2021 at 11:15 pm

Got one and a suppressor run Winchester subs in it, its quieter than a BB gun.. I use it horseback to shoot coyotes while calving out heifers I’m up to 76 yotes with it

  44. Dennis Graham on November 24, 2021 at 11:15 pm

What brand is the bipod ?

  45. Texas Elvis on November 24, 2021 at 11:16 pm

Just ordered a lefty one of these from Bud’s. Make a good coyote gun down here in TX.

  46. marbm8 on November 24, 2021 at 11:16 pm

Not bad shootin there sir…not bad in the least.

  47. PRO PNOTUNER on November 24, 2021 at 11:16 pm

I am pretty sure that the legs of your bipod are adjustable. On my Champion bipod I push a button and boop.

  48. DOOM GUY on November 24, 2021 at 11:19 pm

Great introduction rifle to long range target shooting. I don’t own many .22 caliber firearms but this and a decked out ruger 10/22 are two of my favorites.

  49. Chris Maddox on November 24, 2021 at 11:19 pm

Great video. Thanks for the info.

  50. KniteDragonX on November 24, 2021 at 11:21 pm
