Because we don’t permanently retain mentally ill people in psych wards. Instead we release them to the public to cause trouble. This country needs to fix this (mostly the clueless courts) and expand mental wards to make people possibly permanent ward residents. Way too much freedom in this country and this is an example. Take away mental ill persons rights please.

I was just talking about this at dinner when my dad brought a good point.. what if In a difficult situation it is accidentally fired in a way which it wraps around the neck or torso. These wouldn’t always be still standing targets after all.
An officer should always have a knife anyway.. but I was thinking that it should be mandatory that officers carrying this none-lethal have something to cut the rope should it accidentally get around someone’s neck or torso.
Maybe even have officers trained on how to do such a maneuver. Cause you can get cuffs on potentially to keep the threat from being able to use hands before cutting it, if your fast enough.
I think the first thing would be to shout “ that wasn’t supposed to get on ur neck! Hold still so I can help you! I’m going to cut the rope off of your neck, I’m going to help you! Stop moving!” Cause communication is everything!
Only problem is people need to learn to listen and do what the officers say. Wether you like em or not.. to save your own life the best thing to do is just go with the flow do what they say, cause they don’t want to kill you. They’ll even treat you much better when your a civil person with them.
The last thing we want is our none lethal tools we intend to use to save people from forcing police to shoot them, causing accidental death.
