Instead of jerking the magazine out like that you have to lock the bolt back and then removed the mag.
We can use silencer or not
Do they make 25 round stick magazines for this or do they only make ones that come out to the size of a 556 magazine
I’ve got two of these and one with boltbaction. "The Plinkertons." Now I just need to add the Rio Bravo lever action and the Gallery. And maybe a magnum or .17.
Does the 22 mag fire that fast too?
How do you remove the rear sight?
Do you know any .22 wmr extended mag that work with model? I try finding information and it is not much about it.
On your standing shooting( 8:47 in the video) it looks left handed? Was it? if so does this gun come in left handed?
I love my Rossi RS22 Rifle! It shoots straight out of the box! Even more fun is the 4-20 x 50 scope that I placed on her. Plinking time!
Looks like a cool rifle. What scope/rings are you using?
It ran 99 rounds 100% flawless or 100 rounds 99% flawless lol
The scope looks like a barska 3/9/32 right.if so it’s set up just like my rossi rifle just like yours now!?
When I got my Rossi RS22. First thing I did was a light lube of all moving parts shot 250 rounds no problems. Then I broke the rifle down, cleaned all factory oil and dirt. I inspected all moving parts. Looking for any signs of friction, then I wet sanded and polished those parts, put it back together. And fired well over 1000 rounds with the combination of 3 mags the factory 10 round mag and 2 Mossberg 702 plinkster 25 round mags. All three work great. I have since added a Mcarbo trigger spring. It lightened the trigger to around 4.5 lbs. and a recoil spring. Which I definitely recommend. Any upgrades to a budget gun/rifle you can do Is always recommended. So if you would like to do budget friendly upgrades to a budget gun, you can see and feel, I do not work for Mcarbo I am just a fan of there products. If you are not familiar with how to take the Rossi apart they have top a notch install video.
Bout to get one whats the best 22lr ammo for it
Hey brother, great video. What size dovetail rings are those? I have my scope but I need smaller rings to mount it.
Great shooter..
Bought mine last year. Hunted grouse and rabbit with it … and a lot of plinking. Not once did I get a failure to fire. Just ordered a Mossberg 702 25-round mag. Look forward to plinking with that.
Thank you for the great review ๐. I have 2 Marlin 60’s. It may be that they are so old that reliability for feeding and loss of accuracy has me frustrated. I’m looking for something new like that Rossi or Mossberg Plinkster. The price of these are going up fast so I better get after it.
I bought this little rifle for my daughter. Could anyone please recommend:
– a good sling for a young user;
– an extended mag which is still available on the market;
– and a decent scope within $100-150 budget?
Each and every advice is highly appreciated!
Are you using 2 different guns in this video? I saw a gun with the bolt on the right and one with the bolt on the left.
I pray one day we can have semi auto’s back , but doubt if it will ever happen , great video.
I have the 22 mag Rossi and itโs not bad but very bad manufacture instructions on Disassembly & itโs not fun to clean.
I just got one. Can I ask the scope and mounts you have?
Always the Winchester white box having issues. Doesn’t matter what caliber it is…
They have definitely made some improvements over the years. Certainly the irons and stock is better than the old Mossberg Plinker I bought back in ’06. Cheap guns, cheaply made, but they shoot better than we can. About the only thing I could wear out on mine were the ten shot mags. So I just downloaded them with eight rounds and bought new ones.
My favorite 22lr ammo is the CCI Stinger.
The RS22 is a solid 22 Rifle. Yours performed very well. I have two of them I purchased a while back for $100 and really like them. Sweet deal at this price. You are absolutely right, 22 LR is a great choice for shooting at this time due to the cost of centerfire ammo. $70 cents/rd for 9mm, $1.00+/ rd for .223/5.56/rd is just crazy stupid expensive. Thankful I stocked up on 22 LR and 22 Mag when prices were normal or sale prices. I have not purchased ammo in a long time and won’t purchase anymore until the prices normalize.
Another great and comprehensive review on a very affordable rifle. Got mine last summer for 129 Canadian mini-bucks( a good 30+% smaller than a US dollar) and it has performed flawlessly. I didn’t really need another rimfire but at that price I couldn’t resist. I like the stock much better than the Mossberg Plinkster but other than that they identical. Luckily I have no shortage of ammo of any kind as I stocked up on ammo and reloading components early, however the 22 lr is a good cheap way to stay sharp with lots of trigger time as you say. Nice light little truck gun and a bargain. Not a bad choice for a first gun and plenty accurate for plinking. Find the ammo that your particular rifle likes and it may surprise you with just how capable this little Rossi really is!
I wholeheartedly agree with your observations and recommendations on this excellent little rifle. Keep those great reviews coming, looking forward to your next video.
I was looking for a plinker… Cheep, for my wife to get into target shooting with me… Was looking at winchester wildcat and Rossi, Salesman keep pushing me the wildcat. Is it apple and oranges or is one better… Wildcat 100 bucks difference ๐ค
GOD loves y’all and have a Blessed dayโช๐๐๐ป๐๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐๐พ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ผ๐พ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ผ๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐ฅฐ๐
It’s crazy how you make the exact video I want for a rifle that I’m only paying 140$ for. I wanted a cheap semi auto 22 that’s half reliable and can at least hit a 5 inch group at 30 yards. I can hit a tighter grouping then that with my pump bb gun.this is, EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you. Iv had issues finding videos this simple on other guns in the past.
Finally bought one in brown lol
Winchester white box is awful. Federal BYOB is my go to 22lr. They function well in all my 22โs including a semi auto pistol.
Nice video. Mine will even cycle CCI quiets.
Can a suppressor be put on this rifle?
How far away was your target stand?
Am I the only one that noticed that it looks like a Left hand eject during the reliability testing????
Didnโt know they made them for lefties.
Is it a rifled barrel?
What kind of scope you got on there I was looking to get one
Great review thank you
Thanks for the info! Good review.
left-handed?
My rossi rs22 is extremely accurate but after shooting more than 200 rounds today suddenly it canโt hit anything? Not sure why
Everyone is always โchecking โ the reliability of 22 caliber semi auto firearms when they should be checking the reliability of ammunition that will function properly in the gun. Donโt even consider any ammo except high velocity and stay away from cheap bulk box ammo.
I like that Rosi .22 Rifle, you can get a dove tail pic rail for it.
Thank you.
