It feeds differently from a Ruger..the round doesn’t seem to chamber at as severe an angle, and it looks to have a little feed ramp also. I love mine. Thinking about putting Tech Sights iron sights on it.

This video sealed the deal for me to get mine
Truthfully, it’s probably the best gun I’ve ever had in my hands

  3. Christopher Richardson on December 6, 2021 at 10:32 pm

Just got one of these same one for my son.

  4. UnkleDavo on December 6, 2021 at 10:33 pm

Started with BB gun then 5.56

  5. JWC on December 6, 2021 at 10:34 pm

Rossi RS22 is exactly same as Mossberg 702 plinkster. I bought mine for $109 last month. I put a $30 walmart BARSKA scope on it. It is so light and tossable, delightful to shoot, and I won’t cry over it in case it breaks…. But it never does! Fires anything and everything. Very accurate to 50+ yards, which is all I really need for varmint hunting and plinking.

  6. Pelham’s Aquatics on December 6, 2021 at 10:35 pm

Country boy I couldn’t agree more! It’s a dang good rifle, I got the mossberg 702 plinkster, it’s the exact same gun as the Rossi rs22 but has a different stock. Shoots very reliably even with the cheap bulk ammo. Thank for this video! I’m subscriber# 982😀

  7. Joey Lamgmurg on December 6, 2021 at 10:35 pm

I like it just as much as my 10/22

  8. Bill Summy on December 6, 2021 at 10:35 pm

Thank you , Looks like i just found my next .22lr 🙂

  9. Mr. Speed on December 6, 2021 at 10:37 pm

Got this rifle on the way. It’s all I could afford right now. I would like something for home defense.

  10. goatheadone on December 6, 2021 at 10:41 pm

Funny I started on am M16 in the military with real firearms, BB gun as a kid. Big difference but all the same basics.

  11. rekaksky on December 6, 2021 at 10:41 pm

i just tested mine and it shoots straight out of the box

  12. danny byrd jr on December 6, 2021 at 10:42 pm

    Great video 👍 very informative

  13. Charles Brown on December 6, 2021 at 10:44 pm

Just got mine, a few days ago. Put 75+ rounds through her, an hit dead nut’s 98% of my shots. Not to bad for right out the box.. I needed a new 22, and things are getting harder to find these days. I am on Disability, so I didn’t have Big $$$$, and this is what my local Gun Shop let me try out on their range. . Lordi boys, I was sold after one clip. So I myself, give this rifle 2 thumbs up and a chicken dinner! ! ! Ya’ll stay focused out there. ..Blessings to you all. .

Thinking about getting a 12 gauge for my first ever gun. I’ve shot one before and it’s definitely a kick, low brass shells. But the reason I say that might be my choice is that with a shotgun you can kill turkey, deer, squirrel, rabbit, I believe hog as well ( small and big game). If I do it’s gonna be a 12 gauge, maybe a Mossberg 500… I don’t know though, what do y’all think?

  15. Venicipian on December 6, 2021 at 10:45 pm

I got this as my first gun. I threw a scope on mine, but I had to remove the back sight. I have 400 rounds through it, and only ever had 2 misfeeds. For $100 flat its an incredible gun. 10/10 reccomend.

  16. Darrell Coy on December 6, 2021 at 10:47 pm

25yds and the wifey tears the paper up.. her eyesight isnt the best so looking into a small scope for her…. That said, she shot a tighter group of 3 than i did at 400yds with my cheapo 7mm remington 770. lol. Wasnt by much but she got me. She wants it she gets it, suggestions for a decent one that wont kill the bank and make her happy?

  17. Dragonrider385 on December 6, 2021 at 10:47 pm

Thanks for the video. I have the Rio Bravo and the RS 22 Magnum . I like them both.

  18. Jeff Colwell on December 6, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Bought one last night for $129 will take it out soon to try it out will keep you informed on it

  19. willy Jilly on December 6, 2021 at 10:49 pm

I just discovered the 702 plinkster folding stock (pm279) is a direct swap that fits with no mods. I just made a video of doing the swap in about 7 mins. Thought I’d pass that on because gun prices are high and people are looking for folding 22 rifles SHTF rifles that fit in a backpack. For well under $200 I think I found a cheap option!

  20. Jwings on December 6, 2021 at 10:50 pm

I picked on up and took it to the range and had nothing but problems with it. Can’ t get to shoot more than a few rounds with out it failing to fire. Really sorry i got this rifle. Maybe just a lemon but I can’t recommend this rifle based on my experiences.

  21. PRISONCITYHOBBYS pch on December 6, 2021 at 10:51 pm

you convinced me will be picking one up tomorrow with a green dot laser scope

  22. roger graterol on December 6, 2021 at 10:52 pm

    Subbed brother

  25. Pelham’s Aquatics on December 6, 2021 at 10:54 pm

22lr is always underestimated for home defense. It’s deadly.

  26. Cody Holbrook on December 6, 2021 at 10:54 pm

I bought mine new and the front sight was broke 😂 looks like a little peep sight

  27. Albert King on December 6, 2021 at 10:55 pm

That’s exactly why I bought it for home defense and everything you said.

  28. C B on December 6, 2021 at 10:56 pm

Brother any 22lr naysayers I have to say
    Leather,jean,rib,melon test….

  29. Sir Das on December 6, 2021 at 10:56 pm

i live out in the country of nc and i love this rifle, fired all sorts of rifle calibers but my heart is always with my little 22 rossi, and i use aguila intercepters and are also good self defense rounds, i use it for home defense because my 45 will over penetrate and you don’t wana hurt a loved one, but 22 mags and lr will stay in the target and still do plenty of terminal damage. Also i beleive you can convert this little rifle into a bullpup and you can use 25 round mossberg 702 plinkster magazines with it

  30. Mr. Speed on December 6, 2021 at 10:58 pm

CB, my RS22 is arriving today. What would you recommend for best home defense ammo? CCI hollow points? Stingers? Velocitor?

  31. Samir S on December 6, 2021 at 11:03 pm

It’s the same gun as Mossberg 702/CBC 7022 made by CBC/Taurus/Rossi here in Brazil, yet it costs a month’s wage (plus bureaucracy) while in US it’s so cheap its expendable.
Damn I envy you guys so much, lol.

  32. BIGMOOKIE on December 6, 2021 at 11:04 pm

Just bought mine off PSA and just subbed to your channel. Great review!

  33. Lenox Chew on December 6, 2021 at 11:04 pm

I left my Marlin model 60 at my moms house for her protection loaded up with CCI Mini Mag hollow points. 22 is no joke at home defense/across the living room distances especially out of a rifle. Consider the fact that it has zero recoil and will fire rounds very rapidly it is a highly lethal package. I might get that little Rossi 22 for my moms downstairs. That way she has a 22 rifle in her room upstairs and a 22 rifle under the couch down stairs. They have their place for elderly people and women. Easy to shoot, not overpoweringly loud, shoot quickly, and deadly at inside the house ranges.

  34. Jason Colin on December 6, 2021 at 11:05 pm

I have one and I love it

  35. Thomas Auto on December 6, 2021 at 11:08 pm

Ordered one from Palmetto yesterday, $106 plus tax & shipping $130. Checked back today and they’re sold out. Lots of good reviews!!

  36. Arthur Hosey Jr. on December 6, 2021 at 11:09 pm

At about 6:38 the camera lens looks like he’s in a 1990s rap video

  37. Lazysniper on December 6, 2021 at 11:13 pm

Hey man where did you get the gun

  38. poor fat man on December 6, 2021 at 11:16 pm

Not sure how old you are but you look pretty young think all your model 60 is a good cleaning I could be wrong I haven’t checked it out I bought mine in the early 90s it started messing up all you needed is a good cleaning

  39. Jeff Pittel on December 6, 2021 at 11:16 pm

Bought mine for 120.00 at Dunhams,,,fun little rifle.

  40. Douglas J on December 6, 2021 at 11:20 pm

Sometimes I find that fiber optic sights are not precise enough for target shooting, since the red and green dots are very large and block the bullseye. I’d love to hear folks’ opinions on these particular sight setup. Thanks.

  41. David Adkison on December 6, 2021 at 11:21 pm

Thanks got me one just a fun as can be sweet little rifle shoot a couple times weekly when l can

  42. Hero Shotz on December 6, 2021 at 11:21 pm

This is about to be my first gun lol. Just ordered from psa cant wait.

  43. Zach Henderson on December 6, 2021 at 11:21 pm

How would you compare this to the ruger 10/22. Im looking for a good budget 22 that is reliable and i can customize a little

  44. Dr. Kaufmann on December 6, 2021 at 11:22 pm

Can this be used as an AR15 with 22lr?

  45. thomas glandon on December 6, 2021 at 11:23 pm

    CCI Stingers are best

  46. Nunya Bidnis on December 6, 2021 at 11:23 pm

Did you have any problems with that scope on the rs22? I own this same rifle and was going to buy that exact same scope but was afraid it might crack after a few shots.

  47. Drillsergeant 623 on December 6, 2021 at 11:23 pm

I’d think a head shot would be the most human way to hunt an animal. Instant death 🤷🏻‍♂️

  48. Ryan Walker on December 6, 2021 at 11:25 pm

Nice scope I’d like one of those for my new Rossi RS22. Which one is it?

  49. Richard Waid on December 6, 2021 at 11:25 pm

Maybe recommend the CCI Velocitors OR Stingers for home defense. I just got one at Palmetto State Armory for $125. Going on gunbroker for $135 PSA was the best current price I could find. With shipping, tax and ffl $170. Would loved to have gotten one for $100 + tax. But after all the positive reviews it’s an ok deal.

  50. Michael Williams on December 6, 2021 at 11:27 pm

I love mine. Great .22 for the price.
