I bought one when they were first released and had the exact same parts wear issues, a little worse than what was pictured with only 400 rounds through the gun.
They should really sell them with that handguards like that

Cheaper AKs seem to have bolt wear issues. I had similar wear in a Century AK that I had to send back twice. Kind of hit or miss as to whether you get a good one or not.

I bought the same AK your dad Travis has the Rifle Dynamics AKS74URD it was hand made by Jim Fuller it was the last one he did before leaving RD and starting Fuller Phoenix and after shooting that gun I can’t shoot anymore of my 74’s that’s the one I grab every time it’s expensive yes but it’s the only one you’d ever need if you should need to “go to the woods” for some reason. I’m glad you touched on needing American made kalashnikovs though because parts kits are getting ridiculously priced. Last thing I wanted to say is I have over 12k rounds through my AKS74URD and don’t have any wear resembling the type of wear that the PSA is showing after 2k rounds, that’s a huge let down I hope they fix it. Thanks for not being a shill.

PSA is good at the emotional sale by promoting an admirable mission and appealing to our patriotic/constitutional beliefs, but PSA doesn’t invest in proper building materials and quality control. Many other companies are good at the emotional pull but they also provide quality firearms. PSA has a long way to go. Their heart is in the right place, but the end product is not.

People say psa has awesome customer service. I have one of their ar 15s and it is awesome. I recommended the ar9 to my brother and it has problems. fires full auto and crazy wear on the bcg they did not care.
I don’t have any PSA Aks but I have built several ARs from them and I’ve yet to have any issues with any of my guns. I have heard that their customer service can be crap but Ive not yet had to deal with them.

They have a lifetime warranty so it would be cool to see how the repair process went and how it turns out afterwards. Would be really nice to see it after the fix and after 2000 more rounds because we need more high quality American made AKs, and we need to stand behind companies that support the 2nd amendment as much as PSA.
