what ammo do you prefer with these?
I love my M&P AR 15-22. My kids each have one and we have had a lot of fun with them. I highly recommend the Vortex Spark red dot. Never thought I would say I liked another 22 rifle more than a Ruger 10-22 but M&P is a better rifle. I remember when the S&W made the M&P AR 15-22 in a pistol variant with no buffer tube. They only made them for a short time. If you find them for sales they are more than $1,500. I am excited to see that S&W came back out with a pistol variant even if it has the buffer tube. I will comment and say I think the comment about the failures is related to the Remington Thunderbolt 22 ammo. I have found it to not be as reliable.

I have the rifle version of this. The gen 1 with the quad rail. It’s so fun. Runs all kinds of ammo except Aguila… it HATES aguila ammo.
Love mine. Found some interesting home defense applications for it.
