The shotgun is not new. It is copied heavily off the Keltec KSG. But the design upgrades on this shotgun are improved over the original KSG design.
Why the switch not put on the front handle?

When I first saw this thing I wanted one, but after watching the operation of this gun, I’d rather have my mossberg pump, especially my mossberg Shockwave. I always go for simplicity and my pump action is simple and reliable, but this new shotgun would take lots of training to be able to use it correctly and make it work, especially in a stressful defense situation, but it would be nice to add to the collection
I really want the UTS 15 double barrel
Another thing you can play around with the rounds they make I think it’s called Bird bombs or tear gas and other stuff you could actually get for your 12 gauge you can get smoke

With it being able to take two barrels you can put lethal rounds and one area and non-lethal rounds in the other…
So you could definitely if you’re in law enforcement use the non-lethal rounds your suspectful thank you are not armed with lethal until you switch over especially if you’re going to do a police raid

With the KSG, UTS-15 and the DP-12 on the market, why wouldn’t S&W set themselves apart by making it semi auto?
P.S. Standard Manufacturing needs to add a selector or a second trigger to the DP-12 so you can "give’em both barrels" 😎

Well for $1,000.00 shot gun this gun has no chance of being more effective then a semi auto mag fed shotgun, so at that $1,000.00 price it is just not worth the money when for less then $800 you can get a magazine fed semi auto that would be way way more effective… this gun should have came out 8 years ago to pay more then $650 for any pump action shotgun you are paying way to much for what you are buying… A Semi auto shotgun is way more effective and more efficient then any pump action shotgun…
