NEW *10mm* Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0

NEW *10mm* Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0

You read it right: Smith & Wesson is introducing the popular and proven M&P 2.0 series of pistols in 10mm. There are two models coming out the day this video is published, a 4″ barrel compact model and a slightly larger 4.6″ model. Both with have a 15 round capacity and they are built on the M&P 45 ACP frame, meaning that most M&P 45 holsters and accessories will work. It also has a brand new trigger and comes optics ready from the factory – but how does it perform? Check out the video to find out.

S&W could easily have marketed this as the M&P 3.0 with the what looks like an improved trigger, the new slide cutting they’ve put on it, and the optic ready milling.

Because other then those, it was the only marked issues people universally side they had qualms with; anyone else just saying the 2.0 was fine overall.

Overall I am looking foward to shooting this one day. I’ve never fired 10mm before so I look foward to this gun breaking that barrier.

10mm is a great round, but sadly, the ammo most often available is the same 180 gr 1040fps as a .40SW. The recommended load of 175gr at 1200+ FPS is a unicorn, or you need to be loading. Sadly some people could not handle the snappy recoil so it has been diluted to the .40 S&W levels. Hot 10mm is a great round. I like mine.

Noooooooooo you can’t just make something thats not a micro 9
    Smith&Wesson: *haha 10mm go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt*

    My next pistol. Hell yes.

  5. Todd Ullmann on November 17, 2021 at 10:10 pm

What an amazing time to be alive.

  6. Aaron Elliott on November 17, 2021 at 10:11 pm

Are they going to make a performance center 10mm? That is the one I’ll wait for if they are hopefully!

  7. Harold L. McConnell on November 17, 2021 at 10:12 pm

I appreciate the information from this video. I just moved to Alaska last year and now it’s making me think about carting the S&W M&P 10MM compared to my current M&P 9MM

    Smith & Wesson= 🗑

  9. Hunter on November 17, 2021 at 10:14 pm

Dear god make this a trend, make A-10’s generalized again🇺🇸🦅

  10. John Kelly on November 17, 2021 at 10:14 pm

Have you tried the SA XDM elite 3.8 in 10mm? it came with a Hex dragonfly. I just bought one a week ago, got about 200 rounds thru it, very nice. I didnt know about the 2.0 coming, looks like I am going to need one of those too. I do love me some 10mm.

  11. Christian E on November 17, 2021 at 10:14 pm

“I’m gonna die before 40” 🤣 like any good Floridian!

  12. Eric C on November 17, 2021 at 10:14 pm

Finally, thank you S&W. Now please release a version with normal sights. Not everyone wants an optics ready pistol.

  13. The Urban Farmer on November 17, 2021 at 10:16 pm

I notice that your brass isn’t ejecting like standard 10mm casings. For instance, my Kimber 10 throws brass 40 feet or so. What type of ammo were you using for your range sessions? Just curious. I’m strongly considering getting one of these in full size and want to make sure there aren’t issues with the extractors. Thanks !

EDIT: Ah… Federal 180gn, that explains it. 🙂

  14. Orenthal Simpson on November 17, 2021 at 10:17 pm

Why would they sell a gun with suppressor height sights and no threaded barrel?

  15. R D on November 17, 2021 at 10:19 pm

"If you like the wrath of God tucked in your pants" Epic quote right there! 😄 Can use a threaded barrel and a comp.

  16. weirdshibainu on November 17, 2021 at 10:19 pm

I’d have this for a bedside. Too big for edc

  17. Northern Ninety7 on November 17, 2021 at 10:20 pm

Going from a 4 inch to a 4.5 – 5 inch may not be a huge difference but I like the longer barrels. I carry a full-size pistol, 4.7 inch barrel. A full-size pistol is a real fighting pistol. It’s still possible to coceal with the right set up and also doubles as a duty gun,

  18. Mark Baber on November 17, 2021 at 10:20 pm

FBI: "This is the 10mm. It’s ballisticlly superior to the 9mm, and we think it’s the next big thing in military and policing."
Karen: "I’d like to speak to your manager about the recoil…"

  19. dean zoil on November 17, 2021 at 10:20 pm

Now if S&W would only make it with a 6in BBL. Might as well have a 40 cal. with a 4-4.6 BBL.

  20. Anderson C on November 17, 2021 at 10:22 pm

10mm. Cash grab calibre. NO one NEEDS it. 9mm is more than "enough" for any job. . So many factors contributed to the deaths of the FBI agents we don’t know about. Not the fact that they were using 9mm. 🙂 More calibers more guns. More $. 🙂

But if one HAD TO have a 10mm gun logically you’d want it in the heviest gun…like a full steel bodied SIG P220. 🙂

  21. Marcos Lomeli on November 17, 2021 at 10:24 pm

Now I just wish I could find 10mm ammo.

  22. caddman68 on November 17, 2021 at 10:24 pm

    Yahoooo👍👍😁

  23. Danny Pinyan on November 17, 2021 at 10:25 pm

The 1911 platform was held by more men than you’ve ever met or known. Coming from a girly man who probably don’t have big enough hands to hold a 1911.

  24. Scott denzer on November 17, 2021 at 10:26 pm

10 Mil Punxsutawney Phil… hilarious. Welcome to the club S&W…

  25. ZFlyingVLover on November 17, 2021 at 10:27 pm

I love the alternating 40 , 10 series you did. Why Smith would say don’t do it is like saying don’t shoot 38 spl out of a 357. Doesn’t make sense. Must’ve been the lawyers talking and not the engineers

  26. Nicholas Thomas on November 17, 2021 at 10:27 pm

16×728= almost 12,000 pounds of energy🤔🤔🤔 now I see why you’re not an engineer lol

  27. af22raptor23503 on November 17, 2021 at 10:32 pm

James, Is the Smith and Wesson Performance Center going to have a VERSION of the MP 10mm??????

  28. elprocustoms on November 17, 2021 at 10:32 pm

My edc is a glock 20 lol would be just as easy

  29. Mattias Arvidsson on November 17, 2021 at 10:33 pm

chad jawbone .. why play with guns when u can play with hot chicks? lol

  30. Nonja Ninja on November 17, 2021 at 10:36 pm

They should make it with a threaded barrel too.

  31. David Price on November 17, 2021 at 10:36 pm

‘female agents’… half the problem at the Miami shootout is the guys 357 wheelguns were loaded with 38’s cause they didn’t like the recoil :p

  32. dominic norton on November 17, 2021 at 10:36 pm

I loved the S&W 1006. Was an awesome shooting pistol.

  33. Ras Ro on November 17, 2021 at 10:37 pm

Seriously? The 10mm you used from Federal is basically 40SW. No wonder you felt no difference.

    Federal AE10A
    180 gr @ 1030 fps
    424 ft lbs

Too bad you didn’t test any real 10mm ammo, like the Sig

    Sig E10MB1
    180 gr @ 1250 fps
    624 ft lbs

    🤦‍♂

  34. Kent Williams on November 17, 2021 at 10:39 pm

I believe that a “Service / Duty” 10mm round such as the Underwood Extreme Defender would exhibit more recoil than the range ammunition. For a short time I had a Glock 20 and was able yo shoot it beside the Glock 21. I experienced the same recoil arc with both, but the G20’s slide was heaver than the G21’s slide.

  35. Biff Danielson on November 17, 2021 at 10:39 pm

Just when I thought I could save some money.

  36. Treuno Tre on November 17, 2021 at 10:40 pm

I have an XD 10mm. Anyone want to trade?

  37. El Cid Campeador on November 17, 2021 at 10:43 pm

Love all these companies picking up 10mm. Could do without this guys cheesy false machismo though.

  38. Jim Weck II on November 17, 2021 at 10:43 pm

I wanted a 10mm but there was no M&P 10mm so I got something else just 2 weeks ago. Urgh! I would have bought this instead.

  39. lazibayer on November 17, 2021 at 10:43 pm

The 4 inch model is more like g19x dimension wise. It’s even taller than g19x.

  40. ctc 2469 on November 17, 2021 at 10:44 pm

This or the new springfield 10mm 🤔

  41. Kevin Collins on November 17, 2021 at 10:45 pm

Shooting 40 S&W in a 10mm isn’t smart since the cartridge headspaces on the case mouth. Probably will cause too much stress on the extractor. A 3rd party 40 S&W barrel would solve that problem

  42. Nick Guillen on November 17, 2021 at 10:48 pm

I’ve always wished Smith and Wesson will come out with a 10 mm m&p

  43. Sketch on November 17, 2021 at 10:49 pm

This is cool, but I really want a 10mm sub2000.

  44. El Cid Campeador on November 17, 2021 at 10:50 pm

Do these models have fully supported chambers?

  45. Chris Guido on November 17, 2021 at 10:50 pm

I’ll run out a buy this and next month Walther will release a PDP in 10mm

  46. Dustin Fay on November 17, 2021 at 10:53 pm

Was hoping for a full sized gun with a 5 inch barrel

  47. big john on November 17, 2021 at 10:53 pm

Naw the 40 cal.was dropping the soap in the shower for 10mm.

  48. Method Male on November 17, 2021 at 10:56 pm

    Sighs in California…

  49. Darmus on November 17, 2021 at 10:59 pm

All I could see was almost $2 per fekkin’ round…

  50. TheColosiss on November 17, 2021 at 11:00 pm

    I love 40S&W.

The best part is the ammo availability when 9mm was 30-50$ a box.

40S&W is 16$ a box and never jumped in my town. Every store had cases of it and the few times they sold out, they quickly restocked…

    I couldnt find 9mm, 45ACP, 357mag, or 50AE

    I found plenty 40S&W and 38spl though!
