M&P 15 – 22

M&P 15 – 22

Shooting and discussing the M&P 15-22 from Smith & Wesson. This is an interesting .22 LR version of an AR15.

Never had a problem with mine never clean. Some had a recall with spacing. They send gauge and fix no charge.

‘Believe half of what you hear and very little of what you see, right?’
    Wrong 😆

My M&P15-22 has always had trouble with Federal bulk pack, but that’s what I prefer for the range. My other semiautomatic rifle is a 10/22 that will eat and eject anything/everything. If the River can do it, I would think the Smith would, but that’s not the case.

  6. Echo Lee on November 4, 2021 at 5:56 pm

Love to watch your shooting and Thank you for sharing! Don’t forget your ear plugs.

  7. Marvin Drinkard on November 4, 2021 at 5:56 pm

I own it and its a bit picky about cheap 22lr. Remington golden bullets should be renamed to "golden turds" they’re pathetic garbage, but thats remington for you these days lol

I wish mags were more available. The 35 round pinker tactical is hard to find now but I have one. I’ve had some issues with this baby feeding, just like Hickok does in this video, but I’m a newer gun owner and after reading comments I’ll have to try some of the suggestions. Never had a feed issue with the 25 round mags, although I don’t like the open design of the mag.

Makes me feel better to see the GOAT have the same issues as I have with this firearm lol. Still a great firearm, never had many issues with HP’s with this either. Have magpul "accessories", nice firefield RDS, new stock, etc. It’s a very fun rifle to shoot and any malfunctions are easy to clear. I Blame myself for those for not knowing my firearm enough anyways.

  9. Paul Darke on November 4, 2021 at 6:01 pm

Had the same ejection issues. With mine. A little tweak to the ejector solved all my ejection issues. It’s a known issue and a lot of videos out there to fix it

Thanks for the review! I’m looking to buy one of these

  20. Eddie Knox on November 4, 2021 at 6:11 pm

i was going to buy one but after seeing this rifle malfunctionig im not buying one

  21. Dave Weed on November 4, 2021 at 6:11 pm

I have this and the big brother in 5.56. I actually squirrel hunt with the 22 and hog hunt with the 5.56. The pretty much feel the same in the hand with the 22 being a little lighter. They both load the same way.

I Lind of wish more manufacturers would make full sized .22 versions so you could transition to the centerfield version. You can deer hunt with a .223 and barrels stamped with 5.56 NATO will safely fire .223 Remington rounds just not the other way around.

Think of this… A full size Ruger Mini14-22 would be bad ass and I would not mind waiting in line for one. We have the 10-22 but it just don’t feel the same in hand as the Mini14.

  22. daniel desimonedanny on November 4, 2021 at 6:12 pm

I bought a CMMG .22 LR conversion & 2 mags for my AR15 M4 and it works great!! Run & gun for cheap and it cycles CCI standard velocity. Changes back fast. When I tell people a AR15 is a .22 they don’t believe me. Of course they do come in other calibers than 556/45 223.

  23. Dannyb35 on November 4, 2021 at 6:12 pm

i had one of these i got bored of it pretty fast and sold it. its great for your non shooting buddies who tag along at the range, ammo is cheap. you can pretty much shoot it at 25-75 yards idk if having an optic is worth it. i think if you want this gun its great at training for Ar15 but cheap on ammo or its great for a new shooter who wants a Ar look and feel to later step up to a real Ar 15

  24. roddy perez on November 4, 2021 at 6:15 pm

Great Riffle fun and very accurate and inexpensive ammo equals loads of fun

  25. Rob Strah on November 4, 2021 at 6:16 pm

I absolutely love this channel and the comments but I just have to say, I bought two of the M&P 15-22 pistols and they both malfunctioned out the box and continue to to this day. Not too happy with them

  26. Mustafa0949 on November 4, 2021 at 6:18 pm

Wow….I like that 15-22, I never even considered an AR anything, but I will consider that one especially if I can get the suppressor for it. Great review

  27. Joe Mama on November 4, 2021 at 6:18 pm

  31. Darrell Wefel on November 4, 2021 at 6:22 pm

Got Mossberg Blaze 47, ran more than 1000 round though it, Zero Malfunctions. Love the little plonker !!!

  32. Cory J on November 4, 2021 at 6:22 pm

When I saw it not ejecting I thought the extractor fell out like mine and my buddies the first time we both shot ours. He found his parts but I didn’t find mine. Had to send it in to get fixed and it hasn’t had a problem since. I would still take this AR 22 over all the rest it is a great firearm now.

    Ears of steel. Jesus.

  34. Miller Shane on November 4, 2021 at 6:23 pm

I put over 700 rounds with out a clean worked amazing

  35. Civilian #72583119 on November 4, 2021 at 6:24 pm

I had the old quad rail version, I got it about 10 years ago new. It got stolen though. Since the recoil spring is in the receiver and doesn’t really utilize the buffer tube, when I accidentally ran over it and broke the stock off, I took the rubber plug from the back of the buffer tube, turned it around and taped it on the back of the receiver to hold the spring and it worked like a charm, just no stock..

this man makes me jealous of americans

  40. Darrell Wefel on November 4, 2021 at 6:35 pm

My Mossberg Blaze runs everything perfectly !

  41. DB Cooper on November 4, 2021 at 6:35 pm

I own this gun, stay away from standard velocity and you’ll avoid malfunctions. Go with high velocity and you’ll be fine.

  42. JoeH84 on November 4, 2021 at 6:36 pm

    i own the m&p 15 22 but camo

  43. Chad Thundercock Johnson on November 4, 2021 at 6:37 pm

This with a FRT trigger and it would probably give most other self defense guns a run for there money.

  44. George on November 4, 2021 at 6:38 pm

With my luck it will malfunction trying to defend my family during a home invasion..

Hickok 45, can you please do a review on the NAA 22 Mag Sidewider???? It works just like a normal revolver and i would like your thoughts on it before i go buy one, thank you.

  48. Big6 Red3 on November 4, 2021 at 6:46 pm

When you realize federal makes there brand speer cci and blazer but the ammo aint all the same

  49. Joel Luna on November 4, 2021 at 6:46 pm

I wonder what would have been more effective battle wise. 100 22’s vs 1500 big Bess’s

  50. Cameron Gaylor on November 4, 2021 at 6:48 pm

Mine is great although it definitely runs the best with cci. If you start shooting other brands expect some jams
