Hi Did you ever do the Vido on slicking up teh action on these . Im about to get a 1895 so interested in upgrading and fettling it (im in the UK so some upgrade parts are difficult to get and all are expensive )

Wanna be able to use the ghost ring sights, somtimes it’s a 10 yard shot somtimes it 60-100 yards with a clean opening any recommendations?

Upstate New York hunter, wondering how to get a marlin 336c chambered in 3030 but want the pistol grip stock the 4570 usually comes with… is that even possible
I’m sure what you are saying about the scope is true, but you also have an inconsistent cheek weld with your scope that far forward. i.e. less accurate.
Thanks for all the great videos on this and the bush rifle. Could you de-code the different variants of the Marlin 1895 for those of us that do not know? "Cow Boy" is easy to figure out, but "SBL", "SS", …… are not.

Sweet rig. I am a huge fan of the 45-70. A lot of guys think it’s overkill, but it’s a really versatile round.
Not hunting past 50 yards means the iron sights are more than enough.
Did you ever end up posting a video on the action clean up? I’m looking at picking one up as an upgrade for hunting up here. Let me know bub

The best way to smooth the action is to just use the rifle. If you have tough hands the sharp edges won’t bother you.

i have a marlin 45-70 1895 gun and am looking for a scope for it. May I ask, what kind of scope do you use for marlin?
The .45-70 rifle was featured in Jurassic World by Chris Pratt. The company website has since rated it to stop a T-Rex 🤣🤣🤣
Have the 336 xlt marlin 30-30 ss. Changed out the loading gait trigger extension and trigger. It’s super nice and I’ve got a Leopold 2 by 7 power. Zeroed at 100 which is more than I will get a clear shot at where I live in Oklahoma. Lots of small hills, and valleys but mostly thick brush and trees. Most shots are around 50 yds or closer if you have a good spot. I zero at 100 because it’s just a bit off at 50, but not much and just a bit off at 150 but not much. I’d never think about shooting anything with a 30-30 over 100 period. Hogs…..yes. Ha.
My next buy will the the same configuration of Marlin in the 45/70. Curious, why does your barrel look so short?

Excellent set up brother I love it man! Bought my first Marlin 1895 22 inch recently so far flawless eats everything I throw at it low power to magnum..
I have an 1895 CBA Marlin levergun and it is an excellent rifle and all you need are the iron semi buckhorns!! I would never want to bring a rifle with a scope on my lever gun when hunting in the brush!! Too delicate for brush hunting!!
Stop the Remlin stuff please!! The lever action does not have to be touched! Just use it and it smooths out by itself!!

I know you’ll hate 30 things about my rifle but it works really well for me.
Can’t say I would get the remlin version. Ruger just bought Marlin so hopefully the quality that used to be will be here again
