Let's Talk About Rossi

Unacceptable quality, bad customer service, blatant disregard, distrust, and that’s only the beginning! Please check out this video from front to back to hear the story of my friend’s ordeal with Rossi/Taurus.

I would rather listen to static on the radio. Painful.

  2. olhippie1 on November 8, 2021 at 9:32 pm

I have two Rossi model 92’s . One is a full length half round, hexegon barrel in .45 colt. The other a 16"saddle carbine in .45 colt. Both function perfectly. From the sound of your experience I’m sure extra happy I didn’t need service on either of them. Both my guns eere made by Rossi before Taurus bought them out. I hope things take a turn for the better for you! It is unaceptable what you’ve been put through! Lousy treatment by a company that ought to do FAR better!

Had an issue with mine. it would feed the .38’s half the time, and would not feed .357’s. Sent it off to rossi, got it back saying it was the ammo. I tried every brand of 357 ammo and none of it would feed. sent it back with a list of all the ammo I tried in it, and the response they gave me was it just needed to be broke in. For me, if its stamped 357 on the barrel then damn it , it should cycle 357 ammo.. Any way, told rossi to go F themselves. I found a cowboy action gunsmith and had

  6. Taurus/Hipoint Enthusiast on November 8, 2021 at 9:34 pm

Sorry bout ur luck I have never had the trouble you have described……Mines sweet and feeds about evrything in .45 colt

  7. Aikidobear129 on November 8, 2021 at 9:35 pm

That was the shortest video I’ve ever seen- I started watching it- fell asleep after about the tenth time you mentioned when you received the rifle- and when I woke up an hour later and it was already over.  How did it end? did the hero get the girl?

  8. Demonbfg on November 8, 2021 at 9:36 pm

Yes Rossi also ignores the fact that ALL Ranch hands in any caliber, shoot high.It is a design flaw. It’s narrow at the front of the barrel and it gets larger toward the receiver.it needs a taller front post and deeper rear sight.I have mine at the gunsmith’s shop getting different sights put on.Calling rossi on this was a dead end. They said they haven’t heard about it,which is total B.S.I told them to google the problem. There is even talk about it on youtube.Other than that it works fine.

  9. Michael Fasko on November 8, 2021 at 9:38 pm

I skipped the first minute of this video. What month did he receive the gun and from who did he buy it? Did he receive it early, late or in the middle of that day of the month? Was weather a factor? I need more information about months and days and who Xandir is? Don’t reply with any information about about guns I am not interested.

  10. thumbs47 on November 8, 2021 at 9:38 pm

Glad I saw the video.  I was thinking about the M92 in .44mag.  I guess not now.  You guys are right, although a bit long winded. LOL  There should be no question as to the responsibility of the company.  I had a problem with a Ruger about a year ago.  I had the rifle for a few years and developed a problem that made it a safety problem.  I called Ruger they said send it back.  Since the rifle was no longer in production and it could not be repaired Ruger told me to PICK A FIREARM in production and they would send it to me.  No restrictions PICK A FIREARM.  I did and in about a week it was at the FFL.
Also had to send a Henry back. No problem, fast repair and shipment back to me.
No Rossi or Tauris for me.  Pay a little more for U.S. stuff but they back it and provide jobs.

26 minutes of THIS? Not gonna do it!

  12. strangeworth on November 8, 2021 at 9:39 pm

Any update as to what happened?

  13. Bro Bill on November 8, 2021 at 9:40 pm

I have a 45-70 Rio Grande Rossi and I love it. It shot very high though, it took me over a year and way too many phone calls to Rossi’s customer service to finally send me a taller front sight. So I know first hand about Rossi’s piss poor customer. It’s not that the guns are bad, it’s the people running the show ! ! !

  14. Troy Kelso on November 8, 2021 at 9:42 pm

Entire first minute: He got the weapon from Zanders in February. Dude, y’all work out your timeline and other details BEFORE you turn on the camera…

  15. Fist OfTheNorthStar on November 8, 2021 at 9:44 pm

  16. elantoniohoow on November 8, 2021 at 9:44 pm

  17. oh58dranger on November 8, 2021 at 9:45 pm

drink 12 less cups of coffee man your hands are freaking me out while watching this

  18. 2326TX on November 8, 2021 at 9:45 pm

ran out of space….. Found a cowboy action gunsmith and had him rebuild the gun. only thing on it from rossi is the receiver, and that was just to keep it a pistol. It’s slicked up and runs great now, almost as good as my Winchester 92. and the end price was a tad more than my Winchester.

  19. harley rider1964 on November 8, 2021 at 9:46 pm

mine i just got mech. wise funtions great but the sights are so far off..i just sent it in to fix my sights…there not even centered on the barrell, when i toke it to the store the display model was the same, hopefully i dont have the same nightmare

  20. Sam King on November 8, 2021 at 9:46 pm

LMAO I was thinking the exact same thing.

  21. Sean Fleeman on November 8, 2021 at 9:48 pm

When you state that the lever action is a simpler action than a semi-automatic, that is inaccurate. The lever action actually has more moving parts to accomplish the same 8 steps in the cycling of a round.

  22. Keith Bartlett on November 8, 2021 at 9:49 pm

Lost intrest in about 30 seconds. Make your point!!! I don’t care about the exact date and "He got the weapon….."

  23. Jenelle Smith on November 8, 2021 at 9:51 pm

Did he ever get the Rio Grande?

  24. Ilovewinter on November 8, 2021 at 9:53 pm

seriously no one gives a crap when he got the damn rifle that is not the issue but you spent almost 3 min talking about when he got the rifle which does not matter at all, it only matters when he sent it in, and when he got it back. sad that you had bad experience with them, but I had stellar customer service, sent mine in, and had it back in perfect condition in less than a week. but giving you a thumbs down because your a moron who seemed to think that people actually give a crap about when you bought the rifle. Also its not hard to get a replacement barrel you call Taurus tell them what happened have them send you a new one, have your gun smith install it or grow a brain, and learn the 10 min process of putting in a new barrel. Never should have expected Taurus to fix it for you that’s just foolish every one knows their CS sucks ass.

  25. Mike Hubbard on November 8, 2021 at 9:53 pm

Did you try levering faster. I think your not doing it quick enough. Too slow, and my Henry will do a similar jam. Most people who have lever action guns ,will tell you the same thing.

  26. GeorgeBonez on November 8, 2021 at 9:57 pm

Dear God! I am two mins into the vid and we have established that he got the gun in Feb and it had a crack in the barrel! Dude I am not trying to be a shit-head but damn get to the point!

  27. Lex Heath on November 8, 2021 at 9:59 pm

Two Rossi’s here, no problems. I will purchase more. Looks like owner/reloader abuse to me.

  28. V M on November 8, 2021 at 10:00 pm

Dude, your buddy can talk for himself, stop treating him like a child.  Put him in front of the camera and have him talk about his gun.

  29. Gus Tinsley on November 8, 2021 at 10:00 pm

I kept skipping through this video hoping it would have some usefull information. 26 minutes I will never get back. Well OK, more like 3 minutes. That’s all I could stand to watch.

  30. ssdragion on November 8, 2021 at 10:01 pm

The Ranch Hand receiver (95 top load) form what I have see has a major top cycling issue that Rossi failed to put out to dealers and owners which need to be addressed and form my experience with my circuit judge stock cracking had the issue resolved with in 2 weeks had no issue with customers support form Rossi

  31. yogeetarzan on November 8, 2021 at 10:01 pm

    Rossi always will be shitty..
    Next time buy AMERICAN made..

  32. troynov1965 on November 8, 2021 at 10:02 pm

    omg get to the point!!!!!!!

  33. phil theriault on November 8, 2021 at 10:02 pm

i just bought one. I hope its a shooter

  34. Joe Collins on November 8, 2021 at 10:04 pm

I had the same loading problem with certain ammo.  I found if you find the rough areas around the ramp and smooth those spots down, the rounds will go right in.  Work with it and you can find any rough areas to smooth over to improve the action.  also, I have never had a problem loading or live firing since.

  35. Gregory Scott on November 8, 2021 at 10:05 pm

Next Time Buy It from The Company it better 😉

  36. michael grant on November 8, 2021 at 10:06 pm

  39. virg1964 on November 8, 2021 at 10:10 pm

  40. GeorgeBonez on November 8, 2021 at 10:12 pm

    Me too! Damn!

  41. Backin Theday on November 8, 2021 at 10:15 pm

Taurus pretty much sucks these days as well, went through two of their Judges before I got one that worked and now the one I have is having issues with the trigger sticking back after firing. They tell me to send it in for repair but I think I want to do it myself.

  42. Alex Causey on November 8, 2021 at 10:16 pm

Talk about making a Short Story way to Long!

  43. dryfirefive pointfivesix on November 8, 2021 at 10:17 pm

Taurus/Rossi pieces of SHIT dont buy CRAP

  44. Pete Phillips on November 8, 2021 at 10:20 pm

Barny Fife explanations  of a simple non service issue . Rossi did not fix it  See how easy  Poor warranty service  .  Mine is great  44 Magnum did fail to feed once  I worked the action about 20 times   no more problem .

  45. Sourdoughjoe on November 8, 2021 at 10:21 pm

DAMN…you like to rattle on…and on…and on.  I felt like I was rode HARD AND PUT AWAY WET.  You whipped this horse  way too long to say what you needed to say.  AGAIN…you talk and say more words than is NECESSARY…DAMN!!!!!

  46. Backin Theday on November 8, 2021 at 10:22 pm

I’ve got the same caliber Ranch hand and I’ve hand the loading gate pop off the leaf spring. I was going to send it for repairs but decided just to take the gun apart and re-punch the tab that hold the gate to the spring. It seems to be holding now. It would be nice if the small parts could just be sold by Rossi so you don’t have to send it to them. Something I’ve notice with all of the Rossi 92′ as I’ve got some friends with them as well is that the chamber dimensions seem to vary greatly.

  47. Commiefornia on November 8, 2021 at 10:24 pm

So let me get this straight…just so I understand…you got it in early February? Early February? February. Beginning of the year. Around early February. You actually received it in early February?

  48. Demonbfg on November 8, 2021 at 10:24 pm

Update:received my ranch hand back from my gunsmith.he didn’t change the sights,he just built up the front sight 3/16th’s of an inch and now it shoots perfectly..all rounds in the center spot.I had to adjust my rear sight up because when that mod was done it will shoot low.So if you do that mod and your going to shoot any distance, you will either have to change the rear sight or not build up the front sight as much.I never did have a problem with the weapon other than that.

  49. Keith Bartlett on November 8, 2021 at 10:25 pm

Lost intrest in about 30 seconds. Make your point!!! I don’t care about the exact date and "He got the weapon….."

  50. Dick Garbo on November 8, 2021 at 10:26 pm

a lever action gun should not have any problem with any kind of ammo because its a lever action!
