Lenny Magill explains Proper Handgun Etiquette

Handgun etiquette is something we are VERY aware of at the GlockStore. So aware, we forget that not everyone handles guns on a daily basis!

Whether you’re an expert or a first time shooter, Lenny shows you the proper way to handle firearms.

And that’s why it is ridiculous to allow people to buy firearms that have no training, knowledge of them, understanding safety and never even touched a firearm in their life. Insanity.

    Agreed

The most important thing when handling a fire arm. Safety

  10. Dennis Channells on October 27, 2021 at 5:51 pm

Thank you for this most excellent video on pistol safety, which was so well presented. I am in Australia, where almost no one owns a pistol ,but they can be hired at a shooting range. I intend to start pistol shooting, so your video was very useful.

Bill Clinton should have had Monica practice some safe handling skills.
That dress would have never gotten those stains.

  17. Nate Holly on October 27, 2021 at 6:04 pm

So am I the only one that sees something wrong with this? ‘Keep the gun pointed in a safe direction’ while he’s pointing it in the sky. Sorry but if that gun was loaded and it went off that bullet has gotta come down somewhere.

  18. SoCal Ducky on October 27, 2021 at 6:07 pm

Why is it most gun store clerks seem to be super cocky or have attitude… cough cough “Turners” 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Ultimate safety etiquette:
    Don’t own a gun!

  20. ZOMBIE TORE on October 27, 2021 at 6:11 pm

I have created a habit to never hand over a firearm without locking the chamber open, rather its a pistol, rifle, shotgun, i always lock it open with clear view of the chamber.

I wish my college professors taught like Lenny

  22. A B on October 27, 2021 at 6:14 pm

I went into a Turner’s Outdoorsman to check out some pistols and I was pointing it towards the floor and they told me not to point it to the floor. To pointed towards them and when I was pointing it towards them another employee walked out of a door and the gun was pointed right at them. go figure.

This is the best I’ve seen on this subject. Tu

Are there any videos on the Glock 38

  25. Kenneth Browning on October 27, 2021 at 6:15 pm

He said up is not a bad direction because there’s nothing above you, but what goes up must come down and could potentially injure or kill you.

  26. Jason Klass on October 27, 2021 at 6:17 pm

This has been very helpful for me. Thank you!

  27. ACE DRAGON on October 27, 2021 at 6:20 pm

WOW LENY, YOU LOST WEIGHT !

  28. Anonymous Lee on October 27, 2021 at 6:22 pm

Also, another good reason not to point a gun at someone, even if it’s unloaded, is that someone might think you were threatening them and you might have to explain to police how you weren’t actually committing aggravated assault.

  29. Anonymous Lee on October 27, 2021 at 6:23 pm

when checking the chamber, I lock the slide back and either shine my tac light in to confirm it’s empty or stick a finger in to confirm by feel that it’s empty.

  30. Ryan Cunningham on October 27, 2021 at 6:23 pm

  31. William Zee on October 27, 2021 at 6:23 pm

From California? Holy crap….you have a gun that walks and fires on its own as said by the blue state lefties in addition to being called a racist? Wow…😲

Thank you so much for this, I’m brand new to owning a handgun and want to start with the base fundamentals – holding, picking up, loading, etc – of a firearm. Your approach was perfect for beginners to get a grasp. Cheers

  35. Kimberly Phillips on October 27, 2021 at 6:27 pm

Thank you! I’m very new to the gun-scene and ignorant about them. Not stupid, just uneducated. This helped!

  36. Paul Brown on October 27, 2021 at 6:30 pm

well done – thanks, everyone needs a refresher like this and everyone has seen things at the range that make them uncomfortable

  37. larry lucas on October 27, 2021 at 6:30 pm

Where can I get a slide like that (CAMO) for my 43x?

  38. shortylickens69 on October 27, 2021 at 6:31 pm

many states and counties require some kind of professional training before you can get a concealed carry license, but tons of people buy without a license and just carry anyway. Also some states are a joke with regards to the training. Virginia (where I got my first permit) only requires an online class and an online quiz, and they were too damn easy.
Afterwards I got some proper training classes that far exceeded the requirement.

The new Glocks have an orange indicator in the mag so you know when you see the orange bottom of the inside of the mag there is no ammo in it

I’m a 1st time gun owner and I needed to see this video before I went to the gun store because I damn sure did the rookie move with grabbing the firearm the wrong way, An didn’t no how to check it but I did hold it down. So now that I have it this helps a whole lot so I won’t forget safety steps.

Lenny Magill is great, he reminds me of Tim Allen when he did Home Improvement. I could watch Lenny talk all day about anything, so watching his YouTube videos on everything about firearms, safety, Glocks, accessories or whatever is not only educational but enjoyable and entertaining as well.
