5 years ago I got my v11 brand new for 1299. Awesome gun for the price. I don’t check frequently but I think it could be purchased around 1500 during normal times. Covid days, all bets are off.

The difference between the best and effective is often negligible.

  3. Yoisdel Sigler on November 27, 2021 at 6:50 pm

I have a couple of colts, sig m400 and m&p. My choice is the DDv7. More hand guard real state. Sub MOA accuracy, reliable and the lightest of all with everything mounted. People talk about mil-spec, which is one side of the story. The attention to detail when building the rifle plays a role too. My DD have been fitted better than all of the above. Even more so than my colts.

  4. Paul Bargo on November 27, 2021 at 6:52 pm

Just money I like my scar 17s, ddm4v7, bcm Reece, and my custom 1911s

  5. Seth Pinkerman on November 27, 2021 at 6:52 pm

Daniel defense seems like the snap-on of ARs

  6. pc buys on November 27, 2021 at 6:53 pm

after watching the video I realize the gun is mostly a name and decided I won’t buy one. thanks for saving me

  7. Josh Fresquez on November 27, 2021 at 6:57 pm

Iv always said, I don’t like there rifles but I like there barrels… kinda depends there over gassed like crazy. I don’t like there price at all, I can build a way better rifle for hell of less that what there charging. Great review bud 👌

  8. abc4781 on November 27, 2021 at 6:58 pm

Lol awful lot of angry fanboys out here trying to justify a ridiculous purchase.

  9. Jerry Robinson on November 27, 2021 at 6:59 pm

Buy once ,cry once. Put a trigger in it,you’re going to anyway…. Savage….omg

  10. Michael Anthony Anderson on November 27, 2021 at 7:01 pm

Well as a DD owner they are absolutely worth the price I have owned colt, Bushmaster, Wilson combat and they are thebbest in my opinion

  11. JustAnother InternetExpert on November 27, 2021 at 7:01 pm

100% agree DD is a milspec rifle, that’s it. No innovation, no upgrades, nothing special. So why are they $2k? …..I have no clue!

  12. Tobias Fünke on November 27, 2021 at 7:03 pm

They are worth it. Quality over quantity.

  13. Carlos Martinez on November 27, 2021 at 7:04 pm

Just bought a DDM4 V11 no complaints from me it’s an outstanding rifle

  14. Oil Straight on November 27, 2021 at 7:07 pm

Daniel defense isn’t that expensive for a quality hand fitted ar15. You want to talk about over priced AR-15 look at knights armament.

  15. Greg Boggs on November 27, 2021 at 7:09 pm

Glad it’s your opinion, I will just go ahead and keep my overpriced DD V7 pro. I would trust my life with it

  16. Zaddari on November 27, 2021 at 7:10 pm

Is Wilson Combat worth of money?

  17. William Luong on November 27, 2021 at 7:10 pm

Dd all quality from everything down to the bolts/ screws. All I changed on mines was the mil spec trigger. Went with a cmc, single stage 3.5. Loving the DDs

  18. Obywatel Intruz on November 27, 2021 at 7:10 pm

You’re so right. I just linked your video in decription of mine where I stand with similar oppinion on overpriced guns.

  19. Me on November 27, 2021 at 7:12 pm

how does it compare to pws mk ar15s? I’m torn in between the two

  20. WesTurf Watch Videos on November 27, 2021 at 7:13 pm

I just bought a DD M4 V7 and I was told it’s basically the Cadillac of AR’s.. I’m a very new shooter and it’s my first firearm purchase. The price was high but I’m more of a quality buyer anyway. I paid $1992.61, it just got approved and all I have to do is pick it up now. I’m excited because I always wanted a nice AR but right now I’m not sure. Is this Rifle really worth the sticker price??? I wasn’t too sure but after watching this video I might just get the refund and do more research. I shot the V11 and it was fun but I have nothing to compare it to which is why I’m still lost smh.. I just want a great out of the box rifle that is reliable and worth the money📦.. I don’t mind spending a high price, I just want a rifle that’s worth it.. I’m not sure now, might do the refund🤷🏽‍♂️.. Anyways great video, I like a few of your vids🤙🏽..

  21. Scott campbell on November 27, 2021 at 7:13 pm

Name a better rifle! Name a brand not a Heinz 57 patchwork Frankenstein turd. If you were to have only one weapon to take over into combat. That would be subject to mud, sand, and the occasional drop onto rock. What rifle are you taking? Serious question. Seriously curious what better bang for the buck you’re grabbing and taking into combat.

  22. Brian Green on November 27, 2021 at 7:14 pm

I own a few ARs. Bought the Armalite Competition AR with all the bells and whistles so to speak and was cheaper than a Daniel Defense AR. I do own the Daniel Defense MK18 SBR 300 Blackout and love it. Now saving up for a Daniel Defense DDM4v7 as I do appreciate a great AR and love the cold hammer forged barrels which did not come with my Armalite AR but still an awesome AR. End of the day I’m willing to pay a little more for Daniel Defense ARs.

  23. waitin4winter on November 27, 2021 at 7:16 pm

Would you say a DDM4 complete upper is worth $1000?

  24. pc buys on November 27, 2021 at 7:17 pm

I’ve been considering buying one because I do end up selling a lot of my stuff and I’m curious if DD is a good investment… something I can sell quick and get some pretty good money back on it? I really want to go with a palmetto state "freedom tier" (mid level) build. but Im not sure if it would sell as quick or if it has a good re sell value? I need some help with this issue.

  25. S Maximus on November 27, 2021 at 7:18 pm

I’m building the AR15 instead of purchasing pre-assembled one. I totally get where you going because there are many great parts you can pick up(especially if you wait to go on sale) and perform as good as DD with fraction of cost.

  26. joe shmoe on November 27, 2021 at 7:18 pm

I just bought the ddm4v7 as my very first rifle. I absolutely love it and I haven’t even shot it yet. I took quite a while thinking about it and tossing around a few other options but I made my choice and I’m glad I did.

  27. Bob johnson on November 27, 2021 at 7:19 pm

    what are you favorite triggers

  28. Bluescrubs N on November 27, 2021 at 7:19 pm

It’s like comparing a Hyundai to an Audi. Yes, both can get you to point A to point B. Yes, both have four wheels and anti-lock brakes, on and on and on…but, ask the Hyundai owner if they had a choice, what car would prefer to drive in, and then ask the Audi owners if their car is worth the cost? I would bet 10 out of 10 would say YES! After watching your video, I cancelled my order for the S&W MP Sport 2 and immediately order from DD a new DDM4 V7. Thanks for helping me change my mind.

  29. kenneth johnson on November 27, 2021 at 7:23 pm

I bought my DDM4A1 knowing full well it was just mil spec at heart, but I bought it for the great customer service I’ve heard so much about.

  30. Manuel Silva on November 27, 2021 at 7:24 pm

    Black Rain Ordnance for me.

  31. Ben Stephens on November 27, 2021 at 7:25 pm

Can u put a bcm mcmr mlok handgaurd on the daniel defense m4 with the ris 2 system. Looking to replace the ris system with bcm mcmr

  32. Not your friend pal on November 27, 2021 at 7:26 pm

Bro you got ratioed by the DD crowd 😂

  33. M. Denz on November 27, 2021 at 7:28 pm

I’ve always thought Daniel Defense was a $1,300 rifle that commands a $1,600-1800 price because of the name which I’m not mad about it’s fine

If I dropping 1800. I want triarc, ADM uic, or a geissele super duty

  34. American Defender on November 27, 2021 at 7:28 pm

    No. They aren’t.

  35. SADISTIC_VETERAN on November 27, 2021 at 7:29 pm

One thing people don’t keep in mind with the price is the lifetime warranty. Even if you shoot a barrel or BCG out of it’s life expectancy they will replace those parts for you at no cost including shipping.

  36. Gordon Black on November 27, 2021 at 7:31 pm

They also come with a full auto compatible bolt carrier. He didn’t mention that. Could be very useful during a Zombie Apocalypse.

  37. hairydogstail on November 27, 2021 at 7:33 pm

Almost an hour to hear your opinion that could have been said in ten minutes. Going over every little personal nuance is extremely boring and pointless. Nothing on the commercial civilian market is mill spec. Only the older Colts with inspection part numbers comes close to mill spec. Colt farms their parts out today with no inspection numbers.. DD makes the best hammer forged barrels period. DD barrels are harder and are the only AR manufacturer that hammer forges the chamber with the bore. Better than FN or BCM.. BCM has the most consistent BCG’s, Forward control, Vltor and Geissele make the best springs, detents, receiver tubes, small parts, etc for the after market. Sprinco makes the best recoil, ejection and extractor springs.. As long as the receivers are in spec, it matters very little what the roll mark is other than for resale..If you want a good rifle for the price and know it is built right, get a Sons of Liberty guns work rifle if you can find one. POF, LWRC, Hodge, etc are all fine rifles but you will pay a premium like DD . .I build my own so I get what I want and know they are built right.

  38. John Brody on November 27, 2021 at 7:33 pm

HE PULLED OUT A SAVAGE BRUHHHH 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  39. Javier Gonzales on November 27, 2021 at 7:36 pm

Great video, I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this weapon, I can’t wait to buy my first rifle.

  40. John Mead on November 27, 2021 at 7:37 pm

Just get a Barrett 50cal and call it a day.

  41. alpha sheep dog on November 27, 2021 at 7:37 pm

Love the comments.. “I got mine cheaper” or “it’s worth it”…

No you got conned plain and simple.. same with people who buy a Mercedes or Cadillac, coach purses.. you’re paying for the name. Doesn’t make it horrible but you paid for the name.

Btw ask any military guy…mil spec means less than nothing. If it’s milspec it’s cheap.. go for better than milspec.

  42. Pro2 on November 27, 2021 at 7:38 pm

I saved money on my DD by buying a BCM

  43. Rob Hazmat on November 27, 2021 at 7:40 pm

Smdh, another dummy who doesn’t know what he has. "It’s just a mil spec rifle" lol. The ignorance is unreal.

  44. black rain on November 27, 2021 at 7:40 pm

I got my Daniel defence m4v9 s2w for $1,400 out the door it has 18 inch heavy barrel and 18 inch rail

  45. Common Sence on November 27, 2021 at 7:40 pm

DD crowd don’t understand that were not saying it’s a bad rifle. But you can definitely find better for the price they charge. Too many good competitors for less money.

  46. Sal Vo on November 27, 2021 at 7:41 pm

I have a lot of respect for you putting this video out being a dealer. They are severely overpriced and anyone who owns one and says otherwise is simply defending they’re ego because they don’t want to feel like they got duped. But for $1300 you can built yourself a FAR FAR FAR better rifle. I suspect they have a social media team that gives DD positive reviews on YouTube etc and on gun forums.

No one competent enough to build their own rifle can justify $1800 for a decent AR with a garbage trigger.

  47. Name’s not Important on November 27, 2021 at 7:41 pm

Got a v11 pro for $1,500, freakin steal

  48. Scott campbell on November 27, 2021 at 7:41 pm

    Garbage review

  49. Jerry Robinson on November 27, 2021 at 7:45 pm

You’re looking up a dead horses ass. All the manufacturers you mentioned are as much or more. All come with pretty much same trigger. You’re just some other brand fan boy. Sounds like Colt. Not in the same league. I get what you’re saying, but. Apples for apples ?

  50. Cat Smack on November 27, 2021 at 7:45 pm

Weiight and Comfort is absolutely Paramount! That is what makes DD superior to most others.
