    Use insulfrog points. In UK we have them.

    An easy way to eliminate a short is to put insulated rail joiners on all sections of the switch (except the point side) and then just add the power wires on the sections between the isolated joiners

    YOU HELP ME OUT ON MY PROBLEM. I USED ONE #6 SHINOHARA CURVED SWITCH ON A FEW DIFFERENT HO LAYOUTS OVER TIME. REALLY NO PROBLEM UNTIL NOW. COULDN’T FIGURE IT OUT UNTIL I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO AND HOW TO INSULATE THEM.NEVER HAD TO DO IT BEFORE AND NOW FOR EVER WHAT REASON IT COULD BE, I HAD TO NOW? THANK YOU!

    What’s the radius of the outside rail on those switches?
