Don’t forget the M&P 340 J frame, also part of the M&P family.

There’s no better bang for the buck than a Smith & Wesson M&P

Hey S.&W. companies, can you please make the 12 Rd mags for the 2.0 .45 acp flush fit of course, and make a more flush fit safety lever, new one sticks out too far from the frame and hangs up on holsters. Something like the G2c by Taruas. Only complaints I have, and I love the full frame. 45 acp it is just AWSOME. GREAT job .

As an owner of several S&W products, I wanted to see MANUFACTURING; the actual making of weapons not a long dissertation of what guns are made. I already know that, but how are guns made. Gees. . .

The m&p is one of the best values in firearms today. I have a 45 shield and m&p15 that have both been fantastic and utterly reliable. I also had a m&p9 first generation that was a great gun that I traded for something else years ago. My m&p experience has been great.

Always liked the M&P handguns. The M2.0 has made me love them. The are my prefered striker fired handguns and work best for me. I have tried striker fired handguns Glock, FN, P320, Walther and HK. The M&P just workes best for me. Now I prefer DA/SA and CZ is my go to brand for that. For EDC my Shield 9 has served me perfectly sicne I got it in 2014. Well done Smith & Wesson. My current M&P s are M2.0 5 inch 9mm FDE, M2.0 Compact 9mm, Shield 9, Shield 9 2.0 and 45 Sheild.

This year I bought both the 380EZ and the 9EZ, both great guns…

Is there a document of the development of the M&P? I’d love to hear the challenges designing the pistol after lessons learned from the Sigma.

    I just purchased the M&P 2.0 in 9MM.

I like the M&P 2.0 line, but I have 2 gripes – the no thumb safety models have a spot on the frame that cosmetically looks out of place. I know it’s kind of petty and definitely not a deal breaker for me, just saying. I’m still not a fan of the hinge style trigger, it’s better than their previous models though.

Why don’t Smith & Wesson move to a gun friendly state ?

  17. S M on November 25, 2021 at 10:49 pm

    Better than Glock.

Best polymer pistol I’ve ever handled. In my opinion it’s the best there is to date.

Even after all that quality checks by S&W and other manufactures lemons still get through to customers ! Like the frame inserts on the M&P 2.0, however some have reported frame inserts get really hot from extended shooting ?

    Love my 2.0 compact . 40 4"

  21. OneMore Thing on November 25, 2021 at 10:58 pm

Do they test every pistol that is sold?

  22. Mechanical Mike on November 25, 2021 at 10:59 pm

I worked there before and put together some of those pistols and I have to say, besides the obvious that it’s firearms so it’s already strict as is but Smith and Wesson was a great place to work and the quality and design of their firearms is amazing. There was a couple downsides of the job but for the most part was awesome, and 10/10 would work there again

  23. Mike Samples on November 25, 2021 at 10:59 pm

Bit of a letdown. I was anticipating a video “inside the factory” instead got a sales pitch with a few clips from inside the factory.

M&P with built-in green or red Crimson Trace is a deal maker for me. What a great idea!!!

    I have the M&P Bodyguard .38 Revolver.

The M&P 1.0 wasn’t worthy of duty use in my opinion. My department. (10,000+ strong) recalled them ALL and went with the 2.0. Ahhhh, much better quality. I think the M&P 1.0 design was just rushed to get a product on the market and that poor quality definatley showed with the 1.0’s.
