Do not ever take a Hi Point carbine apart to clean it. Many small parts are housed in the stock halves and are easy to loose or misplace. It is a very user unfriendly design.
I love how everyone just turns there heads when they hear high point then turn there head spot say junk then they spend 500 on a glock and you can almost get 2 hi points. I have a 9mm hi point over 10k rounds nothing every wrong. Wanna know why there never going they will be always around because there cheaper than 200 and there just as accurate as any other firearm

Why does everyone beat up in the high points? I have 4 and love them. The best feature of the gun is a snap on grade warrantee. The gun has a lifetime warranty regardless of owner from what a retailer explained to me, what other company does that?
Check out high tower armory if you want a better looking chassis for that high point.
