How to fix your rifle to shoot out to a mile, with a Mauser M18

With long-range shooting technique and a few techie tweaks, Andrew Venables and the guys from Mauser get a cheap rifle, a Mauser M18, to shoot to 1,000 metres, and then its only slightly more expensive cousin, a Mauser M12, to shoot to 1,500 metres.

Man oh man, i’m just one test away from passing all the hunting tests here in Sweden, and i have had my eyes on that Mauser m18 308 for over a year now! This video just makes me want that rifle even more! Great demonstration 👍👍

that was an amazing video guys. Great shooters and superb spotter. Really looking into the Mauser m18 for my first hunting rifle or the Remington 700

  18. COLIN CASSIE on December 9, 2021 at 12:52 am

I would say that this rifle is no different from any other. Any large caliber rifle will hit at that distance after a few shots.

  19. Adrian Phillips on December 9, 2021 at 12:52 am

I am in Australia and just got the m18 223 👍

  23. Clark Rachesky on December 9, 2021 at 12:59 am

enjoyed this video, just bought the M18 in 308. 100yards is my range need to stretch rifle out.

  24. Irinel Menghita on December 9, 2021 at 1:00 am

Bună ziua cât costă o armă Mauser M 18 cal 308 și cum pot intra în posesia ei?

  25. Napshine on December 9, 2021 at 1:01 am

This just one massive ad for blaser / Mauser. If I’d spent $10 grand on a rifle I’d expect it to shoot well to a kilometre! This rifle retails for 10x your average rifle

  26. Jason Wallwork on December 9, 2021 at 1:03 am

I’m more impressed with the spotters skills to be fair

  27. Steven Gerard on December 9, 2021 at 1:03 am

  30. Jas H on December 9, 2021 at 1:06 am

I want to see what the 300 win mag comparison is

  31. Ezra Pound on December 9, 2021 at 1:07 am

Respectfully… clearly this is advertising … which is okay when attempting to in sell a product within a “ market”. However to claim a product is not capable or is not “fit for purpose” is to not understand hunting … or being reasonably ethical. Certainly given if you do not have tracking skills when you wound that animal and not kill it. One should have field craft when hunting … stocking… tracking … concealment – whether it is game or “ other”. To shoot at that distance specific to killing is simply clap trap.

  36. Fábio on December 9, 2021 at 1:10 am

To be perfect for a hunter it just needs iron sights 🙂 Other than that is a exeptional riffle for the budget.

  37. Morten Jørgensen on December 9, 2021 at 1:11 am

I would love to see how good the danish S&L rifle would do the job…Please make a test a day

  44. cvcoco on December 9, 2021 at 1:18 am

You guys should re-title the video since this could never be found in a Mauser search. I got onto it by accident. Something like "Longer Distances with Mauser M12 and M18."

  46. brandon bentley on December 9, 2021 at 1:20 am

The milsurp M48 was the closest thing to a Mauser.
