Any reason why you need to take the stock off?

to stake the castle nut, you use a punch and hammer to push some metal from the endplate into the designated notch on the castlenut.

I’m willing to bet you scuffed your left hand on the top rail unscrewing the delta ring, didn’t you?

I only say this because I just did the same thing today 🤫

Thanks chief! I built my ar a while ago, so I forgot about that spring beneath the end plate. Would’ve lost that without the reminder lol

What is the tool you used to tighten the castle nut?

  11. Mega Carne on November 17, 2021 at 1:14 am

Where did you get your stock from?

How far to screw in the stock tube? Until it stops or is there a set depth?

"I highly recommend you stake the castle nut"…."but I don’t know how to do that". Then why would you recommend that?

Great job on the take down and installation of the end plate. I have 4 AR’s that I will be replacing endplates on today. Thank you again.

My AR has the same end plate. Idk why they don’t just put the qd end plate on all. Cool vid.

Tip for depressing the buffer spring retaining pin. Push the spring back with your thumb and use the tip of a bullet to push it down. Trust me, easier and less painful than pushing it down with your finger or nail.
