H&K's Latest MP5: The NEW .22LR MP5 Rifle and Pistol
In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves reviews H&K’s newest MP5 – the MP5 in .22LR. H&K has licensed Umarex of Germany to make a rimfire pistol and rifle version of the famous MP5 SMG. The pistol version will have an 8.5″ barrel and no buttstock, while the rifle version will replicate the looks of the H&K MP5SD A3 with a collapsing stock and a 16.1″ barrel. Considering Heckler & Koch are not truly manufacturing these guns themselves, does the reliability of the MP5 in .22 live up to the MP5 namesake? Check today’s video to find out.

What suppressor were you running on the pistol?
Maybe this is a stupid question or not. But does this model come with a suppressor or does it not because I am hearing different things. I’m hearing the actual suppressor that is on the gun itself is not an actual suppressor
Finally, an affordable MP5. The only trade-off is that you have to deal with one of the most horribly unreliable calibers in human history.
I only know umarex for licenced airsoft guns.
I’ve had one for years Umarex is just the emporter they’re actually made by Walther just had to stop the video at a minute 45 and straighten that up
MP5s have both ak and ar style magazine releases.

Made by an airsoft company and like a BB gun, it only looks like the real thing.

I have one of the old Walther versions of this gun from back when they were making them, I haven’t been able to shoot because my 1 magazine is beoken and the mags were discontinued. Now I finally can buy new mags and shoot this beauty!

I bought one of these for my brother years ago. They have been around for a while, only thing new is the pistol version. Glad they are shipping them again
They have had these in production for a while, stopped, and remade production. They’re junk .22 toys.
These guns have adjustable springs for the bolt. So you can adjust it for the ammo you use.
I wonder what buttstock will fit the pistol version cuz i just orderd one want the classic swat look for it and get a tax stamp.
I have one that’s all metal that’s 15 years old 22 lr is it worth more then the Plastic one and I’ve got a 50 round drum and 25 round stock and it has the metal fake silencer and metal slide stock with all metal sites

Can’t say I’m familiar with this guy, but as a "gun reviewer", how is he not aware that this is a rerelease? This gun wasn’t discontinued that long ago, and they’re on GunBroker all the time. Picked one up myself. Probably my favorite gun to shoot at the range. Absolute laser beam that eats anything you feed it.
Anyway, I’m glad they are bringing these back. More mags and aftermarket support is always a plus. Pistol version is cool.

Great video!! I have the hk mp5 a5 in .22lr that was licensed by Walther and and umarex that Im going to SBR and now that I found your video that showed the new pistol I now know I can maybe order the pistol barrel from hk instead of having to get the barrel cut and recrowned

12:19 Maybe becasue you were holding on to it with only one hand and the recoil pushed your hand back and didn’t have enough energery to cycle the next round in. When you started holding it with two hand and the gun didn’t move back as much it cycled ok
