Hiperfire EDT Trigger Is This What You Need?

Hiperfire EDT Trigger Is This What You Need?

Hiperfire EDT give a ton of performance for right at $100. Its crisp, clean with minimal creep and comes in at a reasonable break weight so you can use it for work. Hiperfire makes much more expensive and lighter versions but the EDT is one that is great for new AR 15 Owners.

    I’ve officially been “triggered”.

  2. William Nantz on November 5, 2021 at 9:08 pm

I’d encourage you to order an ARJ trigger from JARD. I have a 3.5lb and a 3.0lb and both feel very nice…… especially for the $69.00 price! They are only available from THE JARD website, but I think you’d appreciate the value and performance. Great channel.

  3. Larry Reed on November 5, 2021 at 9:08 pm

I might have to pick one of these up for 100 bucks, I just could bring myself to spend 150+ for a trigger when I’ve never had an issue with a good or at least decent LPK. I just started running JP 3.5T springs with my Cmmg milspec triggers and its miles better… And best part is it only cost 10 bucks lol

  4. Jeffry Hyles on November 5, 2021 at 9:09 pm

LOL that look on your face in the first shooting clip like HOLY SHIT xD

  6. Fred De la rosa on November 5, 2021 at 9:10 pm

I’ve paid $400 for the Franklin binary 3 trigger and had it in my diamondback ar15 running a 1.7 twist. Recently purchased a 2stage dirty bird trigger and way different in pull.

  7. Grażyna Zarko on November 5, 2021 at 9:10 pm

Trigger test and no reset shown…. Joke?

  8. turbohayabusa01 on November 5, 2021 at 9:11 pm

Have the 3.5lb CMC flat face drop in on my AR9 and absolutely love it. So much, I’m gona drop one in on my new build until I can pony up the money for the Franklin binary then drop this CMC into my wife’s AR.

Super Dynamic 3 gun trigger in mk18

  10. Oregon Patriot on November 5, 2021 at 9:12 pm

Just dropped the Hiperfire Heavy Gunner in my AR last night.
Can’t wait to take her out and stretch her legs.

  11. dchunter100 on November 5, 2021 at 9:12 pm

The EDT is ok but I’d save for a g2s giessle or even a RRA trigger. I’ve found my edt has an unpredictable break.

  12. Charles Simmons on November 5, 2021 at 9:13 pm

Bought the Enahanced Duty Heavy Gunner for my AR10 hope it works as well for me…

  13. dan carter on November 5, 2021 at 9:16 pm

Are these triggers finicky with different selectors? Thanks

  14. jaberie308 on November 5, 2021 at 9:17 pm

I’ve been shooting Hiperfire’s Competition w/2.5# springs in 3Gun for about 4yrs now. Still love it. Also like CMC’s single stagers in 2.5 and 3.5#. All of them have great resets.

  15. Patrick Cook on November 5, 2021 at 9:18 pm

Building an AR pistol, wanted a better trigger than Mil-Spec. Dropped on the hyper fire designated marksman. Sportsman’s guide had it for 84 plus I used coupon code for 20 off 100.. ya I added stuff to the order… can’t wait to get it!

  16. GREGORY ECKERT on November 5, 2021 at 9:19 pm

Your reviews are awesome and very much enjoy them. Since I only began following you a short time back, I’d like to know if you’ve ever done an upgrade video on BCG’s. I have a Saint Edge pistol that I love right out of the box, but sometimes I feel the BCG is not quite up to snuff. Like you, I don’t usually spend a lot of money on upgrades, but after seeing this trigger review, I will likely get one of these. So maybe you can do that BCG review if you haven’t already. Keep on keeping on!

  17. AlphaRomeo-OneFive on November 5, 2021 at 9:20 pm

I’ve got a couple POF single stage triggers that I really like but I recently installed a Geiselle G2S trigger and it’s amazing. Can’t imagine what their top of the line triggers would be like, for the price I’m sure I want to find out 🤣 Great video Mike, your trigger is sexy 🤣😉

  18. scott stutzman on November 5, 2021 at 9:22 pm

I put a rock river arms kit in a rifle I have it is a 2-2 two stage and it is very nice crisp break. I paid 89.00 for it back six years ago. Sad they joined Springfield in screwing other firearms companies in Illinois so won’t use them again. If I was going trigger replacement I’d go cartridge triggers than just switching components springs and such. It’s easier remove pins drop in and done. And with today’s technology there are many to choose from and you don’t have to break the bank. Wish I could afford to buy a bunch of lowers and uppers I’d stock up and build what I wanted.

  19. Bruce B on November 5, 2021 at 9:22 pm

I fumbled with standard mil-spec triggers pulling a horrid 8 lb pull. Went to a budget nickel-boron-teflon trigger pulling at 5.5lbs.
    Pandora’s box opened.
I now shoot the Hiperfire EDT Heavy Gunner in my AR’s with the 4.5lb spring …
Amazing! I went down that road and not going back.

  20. Jerry Johnson II on November 5, 2021 at 9:25 pm

    Very Cool AR-15 Trigger !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Rusty Taylor on November 5, 2021 at 9:27 pm

Geissele ssp 170 bucks on sale plus coupon back during holiday sales. Just recently finished complete rifle so not much trigger time but im pretty sure i love it.

  22. RD Chris on November 5, 2021 at 9:27 pm

I’ve been using the edt since I put one in my 6.5 grendel because I knew I was going to shoot a lot of wolf steel ammo and I didn’t want any light primer strikes. I had heard that the edt was a good single stage trigger that hits hard. After 3000 rounds of wolf steel and no misfires that says enough. I have also put them in my .556 and 350 legend builds. No problems at all and easy installs

  23. Al U. on November 5, 2021 at 9:27 pm

One of the main guys for HF is a member of my Unit. I got the very first version of this trigger a couple of years ago but haven’t installed it in any rifle yet🤷‍♂️

  24. G19Jeeper on November 5, 2021 at 9:27 pm

Have a $300 Jewell in a Defiance action. Most expensive AR trigger is a Geissele SSA-E

  25. Richard Shipp on November 5, 2021 at 9:29 pm

$240 for Giessele SD-E, one on my Noveske Clone, One on my 300 Aero pistol.

  26. Brett B. on November 5, 2021 at 9:30 pm

I appreciate the review, I know it probably takes time and effort to make these video’s..take care. 1776

  27. Bryan Hadley on November 5, 2021 at 9:31 pm

Wanted a Larue MBT but after I ordered, the status changed to "backordered"…emailed them and they got back to me saying "our triggers are a minimum of 10 weeks from order to shipped". Cancelled my order and got this for $74 on bigdaddyunlimited. Being delivered today, can’t wait to get it out there and send some freedom pills down range.

  28. Kenneth Hinson on November 5, 2021 at 9:32 pm

My most expensive trigger is the mil speck ones that came in the rifle’s..😁 because I’m to cheap to pay for something else lol

  29. Ivan Corey on November 5, 2021 at 9:35 pm

I bought a geissele for one of mine. Feels great dry firing. Lack of funding prevents further testing.

  30. D Bravo on November 5, 2021 at 9:37 pm

Is this considered a single or 2 stage trigger?

  31. Justin Young on November 5, 2021 at 9:40 pm

I have an Elfmann Match at the heavier 3.5 (as opposed to 2.5) pound pull. I have an acquaintance that had their Elfmann break with not too many rounds through their gun. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen to me, since I paid $250 for mine. My dad got a rifle from our NRA banquet a few years ago with a Geissele trigger, no idea which one. I think I’m going to take it down to my favorite pew pew shop
    $99 dollars is really attractive.

  32. Ferretswithguns on November 5, 2021 at 9:41 pm

I run RA’s in my 300 BO pistol and 223 Wylde rifle. Love flat faced triggers, but I have to say they take a steady finger not to go boom unexpectantly.

  33. bruce tec on November 5, 2021 at 9:41 pm

Did your shooting get faster using this trigger vs Mil Spec?

  34. rufturbo997 on November 5, 2021 at 9:41 pm

4 AR’s, 3 Hiperfire’s and 1 CMC (only because I wanted 3lb pull and flat trigger). On bolt guns, I use Jewel when I can, and 1 JARD on an RPR because they were first in availability. Gots to have me a good trigger…rifle or pistol.
    Edit: Said CMG, meant CMC.

  35. Albert Mart on November 5, 2021 at 9:42 pm

I have bought several ALG ACT triggers. They are real nice too and very affordable.

  36. Criseist on November 5, 2021 at 9:44 pm

Just got one of these for an ar10 I’m building, glad it seems to be a good unit

  38. 11C1P on November 5, 2021 at 9:46 pm

I’ve got one of each of the Hiperfire EDT’s, like them all, but for me the Heavy Gunner & Designated Marksman have felt the best. I put the lighter green spring in all of them. I also like the fact that they are fairly simple & fairly similar to a milspec trigger.

  39. Justin Cranston on November 5, 2021 at 9:48 pm

I need 1 in my life for my sig tread

  40. TheDUGGAN36 on November 5, 2021 at 9:49 pm

I have the old EDT trigger. Other than the shoe/ bow itself, I wonder if they are otherwise the same?

  41. Caboose 302 on November 5, 2021 at 9:56 pm

First time I read the title I thought it said "hellfire trigger" and thought the trigger from the 80s was making a comeback 🤣

  42. Tactical Considerations on November 5, 2021 at 9:56 pm

What is your favorite trigger to use or do you stay Milpec?

  43. TAVAAR7 on November 5, 2021 at 9:58 pm

All I’ve tried is PSA EPT (actually really good for the price), BCM polished (tad nicer than the PSA) and a CMC 3.5lb flat face drop in I picked up for sub 120 out the door.
The cmc has a weird feeling break, or maybe it’s just weird because I also prefer curved triggers.
I’d like to see a comparison with that EDT and a Geissele SSA-E as those are the top of my list for the next time I get a trigger.

  44. Raymond Pearson on November 5, 2021 at 9:59 pm

Got one for $74 off of optic planet using a 5% off code and I can’t wait to try it

  45. Merkules 7.62 on November 5, 2021 at 9:59 pm

They’re $75 on big daddy unlimited

  46. Panda Puddin on November 5, 2021 at 10:01 pm

I noticed that you hand guard for your AR isn’t fully railed. My question is for the cloud defense owl weapon light would you mount a MLOK pic rail section up top or on the side?

  47. Radvous on November 5, 2021 at 10:04 pm

I use Geiselle SSA-E, Rock River Arms 2 Stage Varmint 3.5 pound, mil spec, and finally got the Hyperfire EDT today with the 5.5 pound spring. Just messing around with it, it seems to be a really nice trigger, but the SSA-E is my favorite.

  48. The Brass Brigade on November 5, 2021 at 10:04 pm

Check out the rise armament 140 Trigger you can get them for like 100 bucks they’re super nice

  49. Your Mom on November 5, 2021 at 10:04 pm

Geissele I’ve spent 250, but that’s on a PWS piston end of the world rifle. Usually around 150 for a decent flat trigger, one piece. Rise armament usually.

  50. Kyle Grasso on November 5, 2021 at 10:05 pm

Love the BA version of the Aero M4E1 lower! Ive been waiting patiently for BA to get uppers and lowers in stock!
