Inexpensive (ie cheap), simple blowback like many past and present firearms, lifetime warranty that follows the weapon, no real need to clean it… you can watch some really nasty torture tests on YouTube that would break most weapons… and it weighs about as much as an AR, and less than an AR fully loaded and geared out… NO, this is not a battle rifle, but how many of you are going into battle?… this is an accurate home defense/plinking/truck/fun gun…

  9. P Power Productions on November 28, 2021 at 11:16 pm

    polymer is plastic lol

  10. Duane Dukeman on November 28, 2021 at 11:16 pm

Thank you for a honest non bias review. I hate it when the reviewer starts out with negative comments just because it’s a High Point. Don’t like gun snobs, not everyone can afford high end guns.

Damn your property is beautiful that is the dream right there.

  12. tom barman on November 28, 2021 at 11:18 pm

as long as it fires a 9 I am good

  13. SnapperTrx on November 28, 2021 at 11:19 pm

I just converted my 4095 to the bullpup from High Tower Armory. Before that I had zero issues with it and its a great gun. Haven’t had a chance to test it with the new configuration, but I plan on going out this week and doing just that. Great video.

Made for the 🇺🇸 man that is on a tight budget ,you want the best bang for the buck Fa Ken A!

  15. Bob Dallegro on November 28, 2021 at 11:24 pm

Dude… this is a sub $300 carbine (even today). You’d be hard-pressed to find a 9mm pistol for that price. This is a lot of gun for the money, shoots well, is accurate and pretty solidly built. So, it’s a bit hard to take apart, and the trigger is a little rough on your finger… this gun is meant to be a home defense or truck gun, not meant for firing 1000 rounds in a shooting competition… nor is it a $900+ gun, which it seems you are comparing it to (perhaps unwillingly). I think most of us (and your friend) were EXTREMELY impressed as to the accuracy and reliability of the gun, which your video displayed…never expected a 9mm with open sights to hit a target 200 yds away.

  16. Dean-KA0TRL on November 28, 2021 at 11:24 pm

I don’t NOT like to Assembly/Disassemble of this gun. Even @ $300 I don’t think I’ll be purchasing this PCC. I especially don’t like where the magazine goes.

Thanks for doing this review….I was hoping you would. I think you give a very honest accounting of this gun. This carbine has a near cult-following! I think they’re loved for all the reasons you mentioned, AND they are super affordable! That puts them in reach of every common person. Not everyone wants to/can spend $800 on a PCC. Thanks again for a great video. 👍😆

  19. Edward Wells on November 28, 2021 at 11:30 pm

A lot of the complaints you had about this gun are very legit. I got one during the heart of the Sandy Hook ammo shortage when 22 rim fire was non existent for the most part as a critter getter and plinker substitute to the 10/22 I would normally use. Yeah 9mm was really tough to find but I reload and had a gazillion reloading components on hand. Got it out the door with tax for under 300 fun dollars. This thing is like the energizer bunny in that it will keep on going and going and going, no matter what ammo I fed it. Take down and cleaning sucks for sure but Ive put 2k rounds down range between cleaning it one afternoon with no problems what so ever! Its not all that sexy, wont score you a lot of cool points with your homies but for what I paid, its worthy!!!

  20. Andrew Lyon on November 28, 2021 at 11:30 pm

    Good video, im buying one!

  21. doug plank on November 28, 2021 at 11:31 pm

I Love it when punks talk trash.. "Oh blah blah blah"… But have never shot one. Or "how is it at 300 yrds?" It isn’t for 300 yds. It’s a pistol cal. Good at 100 yds. MEANT for 100 yds. will certainly kill at 100 yds when is 100 yds the range you will be> Ever been in a riot! Ever intended to reach out and defend your car or family? PERFECT.. But who bad talks it? the same penis sucking bastards that you’ll want to reach out and touch. The ones who still turn a handgun sideways. The mouthy turds and trolls. SO WHO CARES!!!

  22. patriot 945 on November 28, 2021 at 11:35 pm

On a minor note, you used the included Hi Point "key". this is first review where I have seen it used.

  23. Donald Round on November 28, 2021 at 11:35 pm

Why pay $1,000 for something you can get for a third of the price that does exactly the same thing? Maybe if you’re a name dropper then you’ll feel better about it.

  24. Soli Deogloria on November 28, 2021 at 11:35 pm

If it had glock mags utilized in its platform I’d buy.

    I’m out…

  25. Cattledog on November 28, 2021 at 11:37 pm

I wouldnt use one personally, but for a brand new shooter on a budget, its better than a handgun in many ways and easier to use than a shotgun. Although if you buy one, use it as is, sinking more money into it on upgrades is a pointless exercise when you could simply step up in the actual quality of firearm for the money.

  26. Jamie Collett on November 28, 2021 at 11:38 pm

Love mine. One of the funnest guns I have to take to the range!

  27. Acaciastreet on November 28, 2021 at 11:42 pm

i was either picking between this or an ak 9m . Ak cost 900-1000 and probably would have to wait like a month or more . Versue 470 for a hi point 9m. I went with the hi point due to the low cost, reliable and life time warranty! Not including i can spend an extra 100 or more to upgraded it! Should be picking my baby home in the next 20 days.

  28. Kayaaruaq on November 28, 2021 at 11:44 pm

I don’t want subsonic, anyways. I like that there’s a thunder clap down range.

  29. AA 5744 on November 28, 2021 at 11:46 pm

    Nice rifle, thanks for sharing!

  30. K-LOVE'S-E on November 28, 2021 at 11:46 pm

Hi there thanks for the review! I’m still trying to find one in Oregon. Just a thought, what if you set up a pulley system that way you dont have to go back and forth. You can put some magnets on the top and bottom of a board and a piece of metal at the end of the range so it stays steady. I would rig it up to a bicycle, nothing like cardio and gunpowder!

  31. Kaliboy on November 28, 2021 at 11:48 pm

Excellent review 👍.. Every review I have watched has said good things about the hi point carbine and probably the only hi point I would buy. Thanks for the review I may go ahead and grab one just to add to the collection. I love my PC Charger 9mm carbine..

  32. [GF] Burk3 on November 28, 2021 at 11:49 pm

Had one. Did all the upgrades there was to do to it. Liked it. Just didn’t like the trigger… as there is nothing you can do about it.

  33. doug plank on November 28, 2021 at 11:50 pm

BTW The trigger is REAL EASY to fix.. The plastic? Uhhh they said the same crap about the first Glock.. The price? Hell what can you say. It’s ugly.. Oh… you want the scumbags to have a purty gun kill them.. Oh you want to spend more money on the punk killing gun.. snob… oh the forever guarantee. Yeah.. get Glock or Kimber of wilson to REPLACE AT NO COST you hi buck gun.

  34. W C on November 28, 2021 at 11:51 pm

I noticed your goupings became larger as you ran more ammo thru the barrel. Barrel temperature (thermal expansion) will have an effect on your groupings. The hotter the barrel, the larger (more inaccurate) your group will be. The first 3 shots is how I measure a group…not 40 shots.

  35. Gordon Miller on November 28, 2021 at 11:51 pm

Just got one today at a gun show. I am excited to go shoot it and see how it does.

  36. Politically Unreliable on November 28, 2021 at 11:52 pm

    Something to consider.
I’ve had my 995ts with the fore-grip for several years now. I always leave the grip folded to act as a 45° grip. It was very unreliable with the factory 10rd mags. I almost gave up. Then I bought a 20rd Redball mag. It now runs flawlessly and then acquired several more of those mags.
The carbine now has somewhere north of 2,500 rounds through it.
With open sights, I/it consistently hit a 12"Ø target at 100yds. Granted, that’s a paper target that isn’t moving, threatening me or doing generally nefarious things. I only shoot the calm and peaceful targets.
*No, it isn’t "as-good-as"!* However, it currently does the job of reliably putting projectiles on target in the specific environment it’s meant for (home-defense & plinking).
I installed a TruGlo light/laser under the front of the barrel with the pressure switch on the top of the fore-end. Now it sits with at least two mags (periodically rotate mags) of Hornady Critical Defense for "social issues", re: hard bumps in the night.
Notice that my grammar is terrible with the repetitive use of "I". Yes, this all about MY Hi-Point 995ts experience.

  37. BACKYARD HACKER on November 28, 2021 at 11:53 pm

how much does this gun run for

  38. Jeffrey Perkins on November 28, 2021 at 11:53 pm

My .45 ACP Hi-Point carbine is my favorite gun, so much so that I just bought a 9mm one yesterday for $299. I’ve never had any problems with my first one, although the 20 round Red Ball mags sometimes fail to feed. I enjoy taking this to the range much more than my Springfield Armory Saint, which jams every time I go!

  39. J. Rashid on November 28, 2021 at 11:56 pm

Ruger pcc does the same on breakdown with charging handle and I hate it.

  40. Oscar Delta on November 28, 2021 at 11:57 pm

You don’t have to break it down and clean it until you’ve fired 1500-2000 rounds through it, that is straight out of the hi-point owners manual https://www.mcarbo.com/.Owners%20Manuals/Hi-Point-Carbine-Owners-Manual.pdf. Hi-Point stock is made from Zytel https://www.dupont.com/products/zytel.html

For the average joe that means taking it apart maybe once a year if that much. The thing is built like a tank, kinda like an AK compared to an A/R, AK designed by a tank mechanic, A/R designed by a jet fighter designer. BTW, the barrel is made from the same exact steel Ruger uses for their barrels, hi-point buys it from the same supplier as Ruger. How do I know this? I know someone that used to work for Hi-Point, you’d also be interested know that the test they put these through would kill most firearms, it has yet to kill one of theirs.

The 995TS might not be purdy, its heavy, and inexpensive but gets the job done as where an A/R type PCC is purdy, lighter and gets the job done but cost 3-4 times more than the 995TS.

They range anywhere from $250-$300 depending on what options you choose to get. Very affordable for most but I get it, its not for everyone

  41. Devil Dog on November 29, 2021 at 12:00 am

Where did you get the silencer you used in this video?

  42. steven richards on November 29, 2021 at 12:00 am

People I have shown it to laugh, then I let them shoot it , then they go and buy one ! No it’s not a beautiful blue finished ,walnut stocked stainless firearm machine to perfect tolerance, but then neither was the WW2 German MP40 ! And that gun is cool as f@ck ! Hi Points are developing a cult following, just try to find one ! Even a year ago they were flying off the shelves at $249.00, now they are $500, if you can find one !

  43. Jamie Collett on November 29, 2021 at 12:01 am

LMAO. Polymer IS plastic! I love your videos but that was kind of a dumbass comment. 🤣😂🤣😂

    Excellent review.

  45. Rufus Ruckus on November 29, 2021 at 12:01 am

    *casually tags demolition ranch*
    xD

  46. Daniel David on November 29, 2021 at 12:03 am

    If you’re a lefty don’t buy it.

The mag release is going to be pushed in by your left trigger finger or palm every time you try to shoot it as it’s placed on the worst spot possible as seen at 9:14 and 11:57 in the video. Also, note that the trigger guard is very small so if you live in the north you might get issues when you have gloves on when it’s cold.

  47. Dexter Ford on November 29, 2021 at 12:04 am

Man I just got one and I swear i is not Reliable right out the box keep jamming not good I brought it for 300$ I see why it was so cheap

  48. Andrew Gonos on November 29, 2021 at 12:05 am

I won a 995TS at a gun raffle a few years ago and love it. It’s a great little shooter. I currently have it torn apart to sand the ridges off of the stock. It is great with a red dot on it, even a cheap one from Amazon.

  49. Thomas Marked on November 29, 2021 at 12:05 am

Hi-point carbine are awesome guns…👊 their warranty is 💯

  50. JP on November 29, 2021 at 12:05 am

Love mine. Had it for 4 years and it’s been great.
