Hello sir I just had a question. Or actually maybe a few. I just bought one of these rifles I’m just wondering I’m figuring that you can’t just take it out of the box put it together and fire it. Can you tell me what I would have to do first before firing it. As far as after I put it together, does it have to be oiled or cleaned first? or can it just be put together and fired right out of the box?
Just an interesting find, many of the honeycomb openings surrounding the stored receiver, barrel, and magazines can be used for extra ammunition storage. Some are very slightly too narrow but a 7/32 drill bit is just enough to open them to accommodate a few more rounds. With an extra magazine for the receiver (24 rounds) and filling all the honeycombs I could, I found storage for an additional 30+ rounds. This essentially results in about 55 rounds total.

This in a pistol caliber 357 or 45 or 44 magnum be cool.
I keep a bunch of extra ammo, fishing line, hooks, compass, lighter, matches and tinder in the stock as well as the magazines. It works well for survival storage!

A survival rifle ought to be able to shoot anything in its caliber. If certain ammo doesn’t work then it’s not worth it.

I’ve had one for more than 35 years and still loving it. I like the little minor improvements made by Henry Co. over the Charter Arms variety.

I love that gun its my dream backpacker and i would love to build a pistol grip its very much like a c96 i found my c96 stored in ints own stock too this is the modern day equivalent and i want it its my next. In canada.. hope its not already a restricted firearm. It would kind of defeat the purpose i hate covid holdups

Purchased the AR7 back in the 70’s and the quality control issue I experienced was it shot full auto. I returned to store and got another because what do you do with a gun that only hold 7 rounds that shoots full auto FLLLLET and it’s empty.
it’s the worst Gun I’ve ever Purchased ! it will not load into the chamber and the mags do not stay locked in
I’m thinking 22 cal lr my favorite but rounds are hard to find maybe we should work on some new ammo
It would be interesting to see if they could make one with detachable stock, leaving just the grip, plus the inclusion of a pistol sized barrel.
