I recall when I was in the Territorial Army for the basic weapon training with the god awful SA80s, that the main thing they taught us was be safe. Always assume any weapon you come across is loaded and ready to fire. Keep your finger away from the trigger. Remove the magazine. Clear the weapon of any potentenial bullets already in the chamber by racking the slide to remove the round. I always cycled three times. Then Visually check that there are no more rounds in the weapon.

These guys were jumping around to different spots at our local range and finally got kicked out for doing stupid stuff. My brother left his camera up by accident and caught the whole thing (we moved from the 25 yard to the 50 yard). He’s the one walking up at the end of the video…

I’ve had one of the guys at the gun counter point to me saying I was next in line with a pistol even though I knew it wasn’t loaded I still was not happy about it. Edit: He was an employee not a customer.

  21. isaac douget on November 30, 2021 at 9:54 pm

I am a kid and my dad bought a rifle and a pistol, I cant remember the names of them but I have a question. Does 22 ammo have a lot of kick back for a kid or does it matter about the firearm?

  30. Kurt Skinner on November 30, 2021 at 10:04 pm

Did we forget about the safety??????????

  31. KernelKraut on November 30, 2021 at 10:05 pm

0:27 That’s almost identical to how my great grandfather passed away. Huh.

  32. Working Joe on November 30, 2021 at 10:08 pm

I hope that firearm is registered.

  33. Austin Ellis on November 30, 2021 at 10:09 pm

  35. Matthew Williams on November 30, 2021 at 10:12 pm

I like to put my finger BEHIND the trigger inside the trigger guard of the respective firearm.

  36. StainlessSteel on November 30, 2021 at 10:12 pm

That grandfather story sounds like a murder to me, beware or so called “best friends”…

  37. Davide Magalhaes on November 30, 2021 at 10:14 pm

also, stand behind the shooter at all times, dont stand beside the shooter cuz of muzzle flash. handguns dont have alot of muzzle flash but its always good to be safe

  38. paige ludwig on November 30, 2021 at 10:15 pm

Foam ear plugs are the cheapest, but great at dampening gunshots even shooting at first person. But those electronic headphones, that block out high decibel sounds, are fantastic if you are in a large group of people, or in a busy lobby and taking classes for gun accuracy. If you go to any indoor or outdoor gun range, I’d invest in some headphones

  39. maria levesque on November 30, 2021 at 10:20 pm

idk why he says "pop" instead of harm or injur or kill

  42. maria levesque on November 30, 2021 at 10:22 pm

This is really nice, I liked when you telled the stories also when you told us the different types lol

  43. Sean Bearly on November 30, 2021 at 10:22 pm

It looks like you put the trigger lock in front of the trigger. It should go behind the trigger. I just tested on two of my revolvers and on both, if I put the guard in front of the trigger I can pull the entire trigger guard back – pulling the trigger back and firing the gun. If you really squeeze the two halves of the trigger guard together tightly before locking you can’t do this (at least on the guards I have), but I don’t think we should take the chance. I believe the guard was designed to not allow trigger movement, not just to keep a finger out of there.

  46. ridedivesurf ridedivesurf on November 30, 2021 at 10:24 pm

Teacher’s at school used to tell us it was rude and disrespectful to point your finger at someone .
    Let alone point a firearm.

  47. B L on November 30, 2021 at 10:25 pm

As he shows you and the unseen clips of the video how dangerous Guns are and why he puts up videos of safety.
