Can I get some information on the tripod in the video?

  4. Gary Boren on November 21, 2021 at 10:54 pm

You said the glass was the mk5 hd, but it looks like a mark 6 to me.

  5. mike holley on November 21, 2021 at 10:56 pm

i built a recce 16 inch years ago. it has spikes fn chf barrel. it isn’t as accurate as i expected. wish fn would melonite in and out of those barrels. believe CL will be dead in another year.

  6. Alex Goudie on November 21, 2021 at 10:56 pm

What’s the optic he used? I know he said it in the video when I searched it, it didn’t pop up I think I misspelled it.

Now that they updated the gas system and extractor, i would love to see a review of the Desert Tech MDR. And if it is good for duty use…

  10. Scott Glaser on November 21, 2021 at 11:03 pm

I like your review of the firearm. I bought this rifle and I am unsure of what sights or scope to put on this. I was thinking of putting Daniel defense fixed sights and an eotech. Is that good or should I do mbus pro flip up and a 1-6 scope?

  11. Bart Anderson on November 21, 2021 at 11:03 pm

2k for basically a standard AR that can reach sub moa under the right conditions is pushing it, IMHO.

  12. nathaniel rasey on November 21, 2021 at 11:04 pm

why do you have a laser and a flash light on a scoped DMR with a bipod?

  13. Nbates989 on November 21, 2021 at 11:05 pm

You gotta check out a Daniel defense 18 in strength to weight barrel man. shoots the same as my buddies precision set up that he spared no expense on white oak barrel etc.

Great review as always. Youre reviews are the most thorough in YT’dom.

That FN DMR-2 shot pretty well especially suppressed, but i dont think it cared for that ammo choice.

I own 2 FN ARs, my go-to fighter, my modded FN 16" M4/RECCE and my SPR, the FN 18" match grade sporter which is essentially identical to the DMR-2 except my sporter has the Samson evolution 15" handguard and my 18" barrel is a CHF match grade .223 rem chambered, 1/8 twist, chrome lined tube rather than the 1/7 twist of the DMR.

I know military guys all seem to love the Black Hills MK-262 77-gr loads, but ive never been impressed with its performance in several different rifles. Its good but not great.

With both my FNs, they seem to be 1 to 2 MOA accurate with the BH MK-262 77 gr OTMs, with a best of 7/8" for 5-rds at 100 yds for the 18" sporter and 1.25" for the 16" M4/RECCE, which has a button rifled, 5.56 chambered, 1/7 twist, chrome lined barrel.

Both prefer the Federal GMM 77 gr OTM by a fair margin, typically firing 5/8" to 1-1/8" 5-rd 100 yd groups.
The GMM 69 gr load performs about like the BH MK 262.

By far the most accurate load in both my FNs is the Sig Sauer Elite 77 gr OTMs.
Both FNs typically fire sub 5/8" 5-rd 100 yd groups with best groups of 3/8" WITH a persistent 5th round flyer problem im having.
Both FNs can pile 4-rds into one jagged little cloverleaf of 3/16" or so but with a 5th round "ruiner" opening the group to about 3/8" to 5/8".

The Norma match 77 gr OTMs print almost as well with a best of 5/8" for 5-rds at 100 yds from the M4/RECCE.
I havent tried this load in the 18" sporter but i expect similiar results as the two rifles are so uncannily practically identical.

BTW both FNs have also fired many perfect .000" 3-rd and sub 1/8" 5-rd 25 yd groups with my go-to training/plinking ammo, the inexpensive Norma tac .223 55-gr jhp load.

This 30 cents per round load also performs extremely well from my FNs
    at 100 yds.
    The 16" M4/RECCE generally fires 7/8" to 1- 1/8" 5-rd 100 yd groups and the 18" sporter fires 3/4" to 1" 5-rd 100 yd groups with the tac .223 load.

To me its odd how both FNs with so dissimilar barrels perform so similarly.
Regardless the standout accuracy loads are definitely the Sig elite and Norma match 77-gr OTM loads.

If you still have the DMR-2, give that Sig elite load a shot. I think youll be rewarded with much better accuracy than the BH MK-262 load.
    Sorry for novel.
    just trying to help.
To anyone out there with FN ARs, id love to hear how your rifles perform.
I was blown away by the accuracy of my M4 and then even more so when i bought the match grade sporter a year later and would like to know if all FNs perform like mine. Any input is appreciated!

  17. Chris Shaw on November 21, 2021 at 11:09 pm

Extremely light for 18", well built. The only part that’s a let down is the trigger guard. At this price point the lower should be one piece

  18. meditech on November 21, 2021 at 11:10 pm

I love FN firearms and own both the DMR gen 1 and the Tactical. Was going to purchase another and the juice now is not worth the squeeze. POF Renegade Plus is the better rifle now and is more accurate and full ambi. Also less money by a couple hundred dollars. The FN is a great piece just to expensive for what you get.

  19. wmtruelock on November 21, 2021 at 11:11 pm

I have 2 FN rifles and they both have shot as accurate as I can shoot them, no issues for me so far, love them both.

  20. Vincent Garibaldi on November 21, 2021 at 11:11 pm

    LOUD suppressor tho!

  21. Erwin Wiesbauer on November 21, 2021 at 11:12 pm

    Wait. You do rifles too?

Joking. Just was not subbed long enough to see a rifle review from you so i thought you only do pistols.

    Marketing a rifle as a DMR in 5.56?… Pathetic…

  27. sean white on November 21, 2021 at 11:18 pm

Fn makes some of the best HF Barrels . I remember my uncle telling me a long time ago . That FN and Diemaco make some of the best barrels .
The only FN HF Barrel I have shoots 1.5 Moa with quality ammo . I’m not the best shooter . So I will take it .
Those DD S2W barrels I’ve heard been super accurate as well . I’ve never shot one but they look promising.
Have you tried a Colt SOCOM out yet . I glanced through your vids and didn’t see one . I’m curious to see how that stacks up . I know the few I have shoot very well . I’ve shot quite a few groups under sub moa .

  28. Jordan on November 21, 2021 at 11:19 pm

Do you recommend a 223 wyld barrel for better accuracy?

  29. The Golf Life on November 21, 2021 at 11:19 pm

    B&T needs to make a 6.5 Creed.

  30. Kilo Delta on November 21, 2021 at 11:20 pm

Really random question. What’s that intro music?

  31. Shane Kisling on November 21, 2021 at 11:24 pm

Good video. Thanks for reviewing something other than a 10/11/14/16" carbine. Getting tired of seeing the same thing over and over again (youtube as a whole). More rifles please.

  32. Ryan on November 21, 2021 at 11:24 pm

  35. DAP 1776 on November 21, 2021 at 11:32 pm

That Mk6 looks great. The Mk5 is supposed to be better.

  36. Average Jo Nobody on November 21, 2021 at 11:32 pm

With that barrel length and that twist rate with that grain weight, you’re actually over stabilizing the round. That barrel length best performs with a 1:8 twist. That being said if you want to see sub moa groups with that length and twist rate, at a 100 yards use a 69 grain projectile.

I like your setup my friend!🤯🔫💣

  41. Erik D on November 21, 2021 at 11:35 pm

Suppressed group looked good — real tight.
DDM4v7 Pro — Very similar rifle far as I can tell and can be had used on GB in the $1,300 range or $500 for the upper. 18" CHF / Rifle Gas / M-LOK Comes with Geissele 3 Gun trigger just swap it out for the precision single stage trigger of your choice and keep or sell a great and valuable piece of kit.

  42. Jimmy VanCleef on November 21, 2021 at 11:37 pm

Nailed it man, 75gr AR15 platform very versatile.

Of course it’s your channel, your reviews and you can do what you want – that goes without saying. That said, I do disagree a little bit with the choice to exclude the 500 rnd burn down. I know this is a DMR type rifle with Precision in mind, but I don’t think this is being marketed or envisioned by people as purely some kind of competition or benchrest deal. Clearly that DMR application also has military and law enforcement connotations, if not civilian self-defense. I could very much see a situation where an individual, or maybe a group or agency, picks up something like this with an intended role, but the situation changes and you do have to end up using it like I’m more general-purpose carbine, because it’s literally the only gun you have on hand at the moment. A great example would be someone who chooses this for home defense or prepping, and finds themselves in a SHTF scenarios (I’m before the lurkers chime in, yes I know it’s a hypothetical).

And that sense, to be honest the 500 round burn down is exactly what I would like to see, to know whether this is something that shoots well, but needs to be babied, and has some real usage on what you can or cannot reliably do with it or if it’s something that really has the grit to power through some hard emergency use if the need be. Just my two cents.

  45. Digital Punk on November 21, 2021 at 11:43 pm

He could have trashed this rifle the last 12 minutes and I still woulda bought this rifle, just because of that intro

  46. Mikel Vucetaj on November 21, 2021 at 11:44 pm

What brand are the scope rings I think they’re killer

  47. Daniel H on November 21, 2021 at 11:46 pm
