Trigger on this gun has a lot of creep nothing world class but has a decent reset. Also when I load a full magazine it’s hard to rack really got to pull on it. Those are my only grievances. The gun itself is excellent and will give u a long service life. 750 rounds Thu mine and 0 malfunctions. I think the first 500 says alot about realiability. The night sights are excellent as well 8/10 gun definitely a keeper.

Hows the RECOIL on this pistol? I heard it will "EAT" any 9mm ammo!!!

  3. Hot Toddy on November 28, 2021 at 11:07 pm

Or is it the Glock is FN looking…?

  4. Mark Rose on November 28, 2021 at 11:11 pm

Get your gun from *cashmain on Wickr* he is the best to rely on

  5. gutadin5 on November 28, 2021 at 11:14 pm

Who has a lighter trigger pull? Glock 19, 17 or this ?

  6. 889976889 on November 28, 2021 at 11:15 pm

I love fn. only have one cause of their price. But they make great firearms.

  7. Rich Ki. on November 28, 2021 at 11:16 pm

    Love me my FNS-40 …..

  8. kwjuliediazful on November 28, 2021 at 11:18 pm

They make good boat anchors! I have seen these things rust, firing pins break, and multiple jamming issues, and the trigger pull out of the box sucks! Give me my glock!

  9. Arnie Funkel on November 28, 2021 at 11:19 pm

now days this is most similar to a g45 i guess

  10. R C on November 28, 2021 at 11:19 pm

comes with only 2 backstraps from what i’ve read

  11. Armondo Duenas on November 28, 2021 at 11:21 pm

I bought an FNS-9 over 5 years ago. It is my first and only handgun I have ever owned so far. I love this gun. I gave it a name, Ebony.
I can’t bring myself to buy another 9mm. As a Veteran, I like this gun and I would gladly take into a fight.

  12. david on November 28, 2021 at 11:22 pm

Soot has, thank you for the review. I bought one and love it.

  13. Joseaf Macal on November 28, 2021 at 11:22 pm

It sure is a fine pistol.

  14. Larry Ganz on November 28, 2021 at 11:23 pm

I used to think FNS-9 stood for FN9 with Safety. Mine has an ambi thumb safety, as well as ambi slide release and ambi magazine release.

  15. Mark Goostree on November 28, 2021 at 11:23 pm

I bought the FNs-9 about a year ago. I really like this pistol and it a shootable for me. The controls are ambi…but, I’ll say this…I CANNOT release the slide with the control on the right side of the gun. I have fairly strong hands but the slide release is just too hard. Slide drops with ease when I hold the gun in my right hand…but I’m left handed…so I use the "sling shot" tech. Still…I like this gun….my first 9mm.

  16. ADMAFIA210 on November 28, 2021 at 11:24 pm

One of my uncle’s passed away and I inherited this pistol..I cleaned it up but haven’t shot it yet

  17. Rusty Yates on November 28, 2021 at 11:24 pm

The fn pistols are incredibly well made and priced. Having said that at least for me personally, I had the fn 9c . I really, really like the pistol, but I couldn’t hit well with it at all. I went to the range on 4 different occasions and brought the fn 9c, glock 27, Smith and wesson shield 9mm, hk p30 sk, glock 20. On these 4 occasions , I shot 2 inch groups at 20 yards with every pistol except the fn 9c my shots were all over the target, 5 inches left 3,inches right. 5 inches above , the occasional bullseye, you name it, I was way off. This was the same all 4 trips to the range using various types of ammo. Im an experienced shooter and was hitting well with all of my other pistols. Sadly I had to let the fn 9c go.

  18. GEARHEAD ADDICT on November 28, 2021 at 11:24 pm

Hell yeah. Im in SC as well and have toured the FN plants too where i purchased a FNS 9c desert color.. nice

  19. Average Rednek on November 28, 2021 at 11:24 pm

This was basically a better version of the 19x before glock got an itch in their pants to make the 19x

  20. wunder8962 on November 28, 2021 at 11:28 pm

    Two backstraps

  21. MichiganMade420 on November 28, 2021 at 11:30 pm

How do u get 17 round magazine when u live in California

  22. Ryan1187 on November 28, 2021 at 11:32 pm

I bought one not long ago. It came in the box with only 2 17round mags and only 2 backstraps. This must be a earlier model cause I keeping hearing they come with 3 mags and 3 backstraps but mine didnt.. kinda aggravating

  23. Bearded_wolverine on November 28, 2021 at 11:35 pm

The 19X before the 19x was cool

  24. Str8shooter 1 on November 28, 2021 at 11:36 pm

I’m torn between getting a HK or a FN. I dont know what model of either gun. I’m loving the looks and the feel of the HK p30 L or 1 of the many of the FN market. I’m starting to lean towards FN now. I guess I’ll just have to buy both…lol. seriously though, both are what I need.

  25. jay Andre on November 28, 2021 at 11:36 pm

I know this video is 4 years old, but I do like the looks of that handgun. Plus, 17 rounds is more than nice! Is FN still making them? A lot of the sites I’m going to, say Out of Stock. And those that have ”new” ones are asking $600!! I’m sure it’s worth it, but I’m not sure. Where do you think I could find one at a ”decent” reasonable price? I would want the 2 tone.

  26. Devin Cavazos on November 28, 2021 at 11:37 pm

This the FN-9c I was looking for?

  27. RockawayCCW on November 28, 2021 at 11:38 pm

So, how FN awesome is your FN pistol πŸ™‚

  28. Keith Parker on November 28, 2021 at 11:39 pm

Granted I started off buying airsoft guns for recreation, but I’m looking to buy my first handgun eventually, and when I bought a full metal 1:1 FNS 9, I was actually amazed how comfortable it was to handle. I’m excited to pick one of these up soon

  29. Hunter on November 28, 2021 at 11:39 pm

Do extended fn 509 magazines work in this? If you shave a little off the magazine base plate…

  30. Matthew Houser on November 28, 2021 at 11:40 pm

I got my FNS9 for $380 plus paperwork brand new. πŸ‘

  31. hunterk2 on November 28, 2021 at 11:40 pm

Bought this pistol in 2016 for $250 incl tax, NIB. Academy Sports & Outdoors here in the Deep South had them on sale. Ridiculous deal. I felt like I took advantage, it was so good. Sootch is spot on. Great sidearm.

  32. Double T 35 on November 28, 2021 at 11:44 pm

I wish fnh would make this midsize just like the 509

  33. eric harris on November 28, 2021 at 11:44 pm

I have the fns 40 long slide and the 9mm bronze I carry them more than my glocks.

  34. Farstrider on November 28, 2021 at 11:48 pm

I really love how FN feels in the hand, tried shooting the .40 at the rental range(9 was apparently in the smithing shop), and I couldn’t make myself from shooting super low. And I mean really low. Im sure it’s just me, but seemed like I had to concentrate far more to not pull when firing.

  35. Rick Malach on November 28, 2021 at 11:50 pm

I have a FNS 40 it’s an awesome gun. Looking at getting a FNS 9 as my next purchase. Was looking at getting a Ruger American in 9mm, it is $20 cheaper than the FNS 9, but as I already have 2 holsters for the FNS 40, I wouldn’t have to buy another holster. So there is the savings.

  36. Joseph Wolf on November 28, 2021 at 11:50 pm

I have the FNS-9 and I love it. This gun is so under rated it is my EDC

  37. Gurn Blanstein on November 28, 2021 at 11:52 pm

Also the models that have a safety are ambidextrous too, safety is on both sides.

  38. Rick on November 28, 2021 at 11:54 pm

    FN is an outstanding company…..

  39. eracer1111 on November 28, 2021 at 11:57 pm

At 9:39 it sounded like the hammer dropped. Slide was out of battery.

  40. Mustafa Arabas AG. on November 28, 2021 at 11:57 pm

hi , is it the same FNP 9 ? if not , what the difference ?
    thank you in foreword.

  41. Nomad 75 on November 28, 2021 at 11:57 pm

Why do you look like you’re avenging your father’s death when you target shoot?😁Just messin’ brother , love your videos , and the FN line. I’d take my 509 to Hell and back.

  42. zszs123 on November 28, 2021 at 11:58 pm

Have this in 40..Excellent tool thanks for the vdeo

  43. Jean Floyd on November 28, 2021 at 11:59 pm

This handgun has an awesome feel and is great for a women’s size hand. Was considering the FN 509 but decided to get this because I found a better deal and it’s a tad smaller and lighter.

  44. Bad Driver on November 29, 2021 at 12:00 am

Gotta have one!! Love the look and got to own one soon…maybe a .40 cal. Great review. Enjoy shootin’!

  47. Sean Forsythe on November 29, 2021 at 12:03 am

5 years late, but i just picked one of these up used for $400. Actually my first pistol too.

  48. 13 1 G $h00z on November 29, 2021 at 12:04 am

Would look alot better if the trigger guard had straight lines

  49. Ryan1187 on November 29, 2021 at 12:05 am

And anyone notice how slim the barrel is compare to other name brand pistol barrels? Wonder why that is. Is a cool gun. Just differnt than what I’m used to

  50. JulzzCan on November 29, 2021 at 12:05 am

Great review! I took one of the magazines apart for cleaning, can’t snap the bottom butt back on, any advice?
