I once read that Browning`s original design had an internal hammer and it was the Belgian guy with the unpronounceable name who added the external hammer, don`t know if that`s actually true though, anyone know?
Gorgeous gun
FN Browning Hi-Power nice pistol
Fun fact, FN hi power was the first double stack mag ever. 13 rounds was the maximum. The Germans loved it for it’s increased ammo capacity when they usually only held 8+1 or if you weren’t an officer or an unlucky soul and given a taschenpistol (pocket pistol. Which unless you were a sniper or part of high command, issued a PPK.) Those held 7+1. Then fun had another pistol issued as well as Astra (from Spain who was fascist at the time) .
HIckok, based on that serial number, that gun was stolen from my home five years ago (next Tuesday) by a burglar. Please send it back, post haste. Thanks. Contact me for an FFL shipping address.
Can you review this again?

Very nice kitty
I have just discovered hicok45, after watching a Po8 vs 1911 video I had to look if he had discussed the browning high Power. Now it’s .45 ACP vs 9mm luger, a whole other issue.

I love cats!!!
Wait your cat is named Slamfire…And just when I thought I couldn’t love Hickock any more
I have one my grandad brought back from the war. Has the large adjustable sight and the nazi markings. No butt stock attachment function though.
had that when i served in n ireland in 1982 west belfast very accurate weapon with faults
As an Indian, this gun is a perfection. Best service pistol used not only in India but also in 60 other countries
my service pistol for 12 years. Only fired it at the range which is good news. Means I never got shot down 😂😂
Didn’t realize how big you were until I saw you on Tucker Carlson…….a good film to watch but you never really got into all the AR 15 or AR 10 is. Maybe next time, or maybe they edited it out.
Your title is absolutely correct!
I carried one for years as a service pistol in the belgian Gendarmerie back in 1978.
The original name is "Browning 9mm GP" where "GP" stands for "Grand Puissance".
That is french for "High Performance/Power".
Herstal is a town in the french speaking part of Belgium, hence the "GP".
Brings back memories…
Keep up the good work!

The Hi Power coughs up a hairball on the first shot.
The fact that kickok likes cats makes me like him even more. Could this man get anymore cool? Don’t think so but nothing’s impossible
I have a KBI Mod. GKk92C 9mm high power that has been compared to the Browning High Power as a sister pistol. Will your model pistol holster fit my model?
I must say, "Slamfire" is a tremendous name for a cat

I’m naming my next pet Slamfire now.
One of the best pistols ever
Considerada una de las pistolas mas buenas globalmente. Una verdadera Legenda la HP – 35
I grew up shooting a P38 a super special gun. When I was about 27 I traded a dirt bike for a Hi Power and still think it is the best 9mm I have ever shot.
It is not the first shot it is the follow up shots. The Hi power is some special.
They never jam unlike glocks.
That cat is pissed off because all the BOOM scares the birds and mouses away…
Warface
I used these in brit army airborne in 80s and 90s.
Always told you couldnt hit a barn door with them….but actually i found them ok…even in competition.
Would love one
Awesome gun and cat!
i trained with this and i have no idea what was wrong with ours but you struggled to hit a man size target at 20 to 50 yrds and then got issued them in northern ireland.
Springfield just announced their SA-35 looks nice!
You need to get your hands on the brand new today, Springfield SA-35, fixed all you did not like about this pistol. I know you want one, i do and want to see you shot it.
Only the wolves can cull the elk; in order to ensure the next generation of baby aspen trees, so that beavers may flourish.
I love my P35. It is by far the finest single action self loader ever made. Mine is an FN P35 that is Fabrique National and not Browning. I suspect mine was built prior to WWII. It is in pristine condition. I acquired it in 1968. I do shoot it regularly and have not experienced "hammer bite" after changing the stock hammer with the straight spur.
Slamfire is gorgeous!!! Love me a man that loves cats 😉
Big iron on his hip
Kirsy Rosa’s company
There’s a simple to use guide to date a hi power.
My cat carries a HiPower also…
i didn’t know i needed a cat until i got one
You’re gonna have to do a side-by-side comparison with the new Springfield Armory SA35!
I have a browning hi power, love it big time… however the pin which holds the trigger group is a bit loose, is it normal guys? Your input is highly appreciated🙏 many thanks in advance
The magazine of browing is the same in a glock 19
