Just got my FN 509 Tactical compact with vortex viper RMR pre installed on the pistol. It feels AMAZING cant wait to go shoot it in a couple days. It comes with a flush 12 round and another 15 and 24 round magazines. I see the same pistol for about $900 WITHOUT the vortex viper rmr and I got mine for $999 I feel like I got a great deal. I think they just came out with this configuration because the tag said "NEW" lol
@Hickok45 My only question is do you personally think this gun is worth the extra $$$ over the glock?

What models do the 10 round clips fit? I imagine the 10 round magazine only fits the compact and midsize and not the full size?

Looking to switch my barrel from the 5in to the 4in & I can’t seem to find the 4in for sale any suggestions?
I have an FNS 40 & 9C. Love to move the 9C for a 509 but I just can’t get rid of an FN. Guess my next additions will be the FNX45, 502 then the 509 tactical.
Is it just me or at the 7:30 mark, it looks like you can see the bullets fly through the air right before they hit the buffalo.

I would like to see a comparison between the fnx-9 and the fn509. They are almost the same in size, capacity, and weight. But I would like to know what the big differences are (besides the obvious striker fire vs hammer fire).
Up until recently, I still agreed that you should be a NRA member. But there’s just been too much stuff come out. The tipping point for me was some news about the CEO blowing a ton of money on BS
i can always rely on Hickok to review something I want to purchase. It’s pretty wild. also look at all the magazines on the table.

The left would love to see the NRA gone. I take it that you being on this channel like and support guns and your right to own one to protect yourself and family. The NRA is and has been our strongest protector and supporter of the second amendment. Think clearly before aborting because you listened to the very news that hurt our great country.

I would love to see a new comparison, adding the 509c tatucal and the new 509 ls edge. I also seen that the slides are interchangeable for all 4 sizes.

I read recently they will not fire the first round when "submerged in water.’ I’m no Navy 🦭 SEAL but for a $600 gun I want all the reliability.

Expensive gun but I guess you could say I’m a FaN now. Snagged one of the compact up at buds, great gun other than the magazine rattle.

Love to see a 3" subcompact, could easily live with a 12 – 13 round mag capacity. And for the Love of God, get those damn worthless toy rails off of concealed carry handguns, round the bottom up to the barrel. Less weight, smaller holster, easier to reholster & would look better too. I don’t know any serious civilian Concealed carry person that carries their firearm with shit hanging off the bottom,… that’s for kids or Cops.
I have the 509c MRD with a Deltapoint Pro installed and love it. The 509 tacticool is going to be next.
Can it shoot after being submerged in water? I heard it doesn’t shoot after several second which could be important in a dangerous situation! What are your thoughts sir?

Tried the 509C (midsized) & 509 tactical. The tactical definitely feels slightly better but idk of $200-$300 more is worth it during these times.
Got bummed out renting guns today. Trying to decide on a 9mm and was excited to try their 509 after first trying a G45, M&P fullsize and the damn thing jammed after two shots and after clearing jammed again a shot later. The first two shots felt great but it’s really put me off the gun. I know it’s a rental and probably dirty but I know the glocks are more popular for rental and they shoot great every time I’ve shot one.
The midsize is what I usually use.
This was 8 months before the pandemic.
I like the M&P style trigger more than the Glock style. I was going to install an APEX Trigger in the 509 but then it’s back to a Glock style so I’m gonna pass.
