  3. DNic97 on October 27, 2021 at 5:47 pm

I always thought ar meant assault rifle

  4. Terry Hatch on October 27, 2021 at 5:48 pm

I thought it was Armalite Rifle, otherwise it would be called an Ar-15 instead of an AR-15, right?

  5. Opened Mind on October 27, 2021 at 5:49 pm

I prefer SDR. Self Defense Rifle. Or FIDR. Foreign Invasion Defense Rifle.

  6. 90foxfreak on October 27, 2021 at 5:49 pm

    Armalite Rifle!!!

  7. Hugo Smith on October 27, 2021 at 5:50 pm

    Isnt the 15 relegated to 5.56 (0.223)
    and AR-10 relegated to 7.61 (0.308)
    ?

  9. drzkoolkidd on October 27, 2021 at 5:51 pm

and i hate how the media brainwashes people by telling them that the "AR" stands for assault rifle… "assault?? oh man we should ban those dangerous things!" Geez! the ignorance in this country.. ridiculous!!!

  10. Motion Production on October 27, 2021 at 5:58 pm

    A quick explanation?

  14. Michael Schmitt on October 27, 2021 at 6:03 pm

Even Armalite doesn’t use AR-15. Their .223 AR series guns are "M15s". ie, M15A2. Only Colt uses the AR-15 trademark.

  15. DefenderOfFreedom on October 27, 2021 at 6:03 pm

Bro I have wanted the spiral barrel one for a long time, you are very lucky! You got the creme of the crop my friend. You have to do a video on it lol

  21. Ian Buchanan on October 27, 2021 at 6:09 pm

Ok… So what is unique about the AR-15 (or AR-15 like) model that differentiates it from other guns?

  22. paintrain81 on October 27, 2021 at 6:10 pm

I always thought AR stood for assault rifle… shows how much I know, love these facts videos Paul keep it up.

  23. Militant on October 27, 2021 at 6:10 pm

I just picked up my M&P AR-15 today to add to my HK pistol family! Nice piece!

  24. Tony Lo. on October 27, 2021 at 6:11 pm

    Thank you.

  25. Nick Hurley on October 27, 2021 at 6:11 pm

    love the facts!

  26. DefenderOfFreedom on October 27, 2021 at 6:12 pm

Sure bro, off means you turn the gas off, and every time you fire the gun you cycle the action by hand to chamber a new round. Normal is what you will mainly run all the time and it is the standard gas pressure flow. Adverse lets even more gas in to cycle the action, so if the gun is very dirty or in desert conditions. You will probably never need "adverse" you could probably fire 1500 rounds in normal setting.

  27. CTKTMRIDER on October 27, 2021 at 6:15 pm

Thanks I’m excited for sure! Trying to learn as much as I can before I get it. As I said, I know very little about carbine rifles. I may reach out to you with some questions now and again. In fact – this beast features an adjustable gas system. Four positions, Off- Suppressed – Normal – Adverse." wich allow for optimum performance in any situation". The"Suppressed" is self explanatory however, the others I’m not so sure what parameters would dictate wich setting to use.Perhaps you can give me

  28. FJ RS on October 27, 2021 at 6:18 pm

Unfortunately colorado shooting brought me here Rest In Peace

  29. Roger on October 27, 2021 at 6:20 pm

You know how we’re typically always accessorizing our AR-15s?
That’s why I thought AR stood for Another Receipt.

  30. Mary Kallin on October 27, 2021 at 6:20 pm

  39. 556 Channel (HD) on October 27, 2021 at 6:32 pm

"Assault Rifle" is a media term meant to instill fear, but I also thought it meant that….Lol!!!

  40. DefenderOfFreedom on October 27, 2021 at 6:33 pm

The one I am thinking about getting is the Aimpoint Comp M4s, that is a sweet sight. U.S. army issue close combat sight as well.

  41. Terry Hatch on October 27, 2021 at 6:33 pm

I know. I watched the vid. Just explaining my stance from before I knew, which was a year ago. Rifle would be capitalized because it’s the next word. That’s how acronyms usually work.

  42. CTKTMRIDER on October 27, 2021 at 6:33 pm

Hey Paul. Just ordered my first AR platform rifle. I decided on the LWRC M6A3 with the spiral barrel as well. I got the flat dark earth color version. Should have it in a few weeks! I’ve been a hand gun guy for over 25 years and am looking forward to this new venture. I know very little about these rifles but thanks to you-tubers like yourself I’m learning a lot

  43. lastknowngood0 on October 27, 2021 at 6:35 pm

Awesome! Although I scored 88 on a test I got the AR question wrong. LOL I trained with an M1 Garand , 1911, Ma Deuce & 45 Cal Grease Gun!, M 48 Tank 90 mm Main Gun from 1960 / 65! Thanks for info Man!

  44. Driver of All on October 27, 2021 at 6:36 pm

  45. hawkermustang on October 27, 2021 at 6:36 pm

    Nice info.

  46. Jason Rees on October 27, 2021 at 6:39 pm

Looks like a modified M-16 . right ? I was in the army . that’s it ,it just has some add-ons that make it look cool . That;s an ARMALITE 15.

  47. kahner7 on October 27, 2021 at 6:41 pm

This reminds me of all the people who can’t help themselves on correcting people when they say ak47. "That’s not an ak47, maybe an akm, ak47s were milled." " well weren’t they originally stamped" "well that don’t count cause…blah, blah, blah" …..STFU PLEASE!!! If it’s an ak chambered in 7.62×39 it’s a 47 to me. But I like this video cause I’ve never really thought about it but next time I’ll have something to say back to that guy talking that shit and says ar.

  48. DefenderOfFreedom on October 27, 2021 at 6:41 pm

It’s not armalite rifle, why would rife be capitalized? It stands for armalite

  49. Leroy Hovatter on October 27, 2021 at 6:44 pm

I call my Bushmaster the bitch

  50. DefenderOfFreedom on October 27, 2021 at 6:45 pm
