I want this guy to be my daddy

Ahem Microwave emitter in game is actually a brain control experiment gone Topsy, either way the subject becomes hostile aggressive irrational or stunned subdued compliant first…in game handy for that Sniper Arkansas he really is a grade a pain in the side shooting at you while you avoid explosions and landmines.

  3. Ethan Ice on November 22, 2021 at 8:42 pm

Ah yes the experimental M.I.R.V. such a fun Fat Man launcher

    Payday 2?

  5. The Pancake Mann on November 22, 2021 at 8:43 pm

The railway rifle is indeed the most steampunk weapon ever invented.

  6. Bobley von Schmeedlepeedlesteinerton on November 22, 2021 at 8:44 pm

The alien blaster was originally in Fallout 1 as a random encounter where you loot a crashed flying saucer if your luck is 7 or higher.

  7. Samuel Monveron on November 22, 2021 at 8:44 pm

HeyJohnathan, the type 17 was not the .45 acp Chinese handgun, it’s the type 15 as I’ve seen one at a shop before

  8. Samuel Hannasch on November 22, 2021 at 8:45 pm

This man wearing a mouse rat t-shirt?

  9. Private_Ryan1 on November 22, 2021 at 8:45 pm

    Halo weapons would be cool

  11. D Cross on November 22, 2021 at 8:46 pm

Disagree about the fat man. It resembles a PIAT imo

  12. Zephyr M. on November 22, 2021 at 8:46 pm

Johnathon always looks so gosh darn happy to be on camera, and kinda bashful about it too, and that’s probably one of the bigger reasons I find this series so compelling.

  13. Marc Cox on November 22, 2021 at 8:47 pm

I’ve always hated the Combat Shotgun’s design.

  14. Austin Miller on November 22, 2021 at 8:49 pm

Hey Jonathan i wanna see your reaction to the halo series ill let comments pick halo ce, h2, or h3

    Fallout is Deisel/Atom Punk

  16. trent wolfgram on November 22, 2021 at 8:53 pm

I think I finally figured out Havana Syndrome. It’s not a bunch of babies sublimating guilt, they’re getting hit with the microwave emitter from Fallout! Mad respect to the Cuban military for pulling that one off, completely secretly. Nailed it

  17. supercrapnstuff11 on November 22, 2021 at 8:55 pm

amusingly jonthan mentions the rocket launcher being made of a "wood chipper" but its actually a leaf blower. there IS an incredibly rare "Wood Chipper" item that visually is identical to the "Leaf Blower" item (or vice versa, given the "mr chipper" logo on both items) except weighing 50 pounds

  18. HardTac on November 22, 2021 at 8:56 pm

2:35 So THATS what’s been bothering me about the Chinese Rifle! It’s an RPD, not an AK! Wow! Who would’ve thought?

  19. Apollon on November 22, 2021 at 8:57 pm

7:00 Also Pres. Lincoln’s actual rifle was a Spencer, not a Henry, and is on display in one of the museums in Springfield, Illinois. I guess we’ll just call that a style choice.

    Fat man= nuclear piat

I would speculate that the idea of loading nails into a blunderbus may have come about from any situation where such a weapon would be use and where nails would be easily obtained – so that might be onboard a sailing vessel, at a dock or in a construction yard. But you know what they say Absence of evidence isn’t evidence of absence.
In a similar mind another thing that may work from a dock and that may be entirely more practical is the sort lead weights used on fishing lines or nets. those would make very good shot too.

  22. Jaakko on November 22, 2021 at 9:01 pm

At Fallout 1 and 2 is a gun called Alien Blaster.

  23. MusicUnderGround on November 22, 2021 at 9:01 pm

From what I can tell the Divergence point was at the dropping of the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But I don’t believe the Divergence didn’t become too significant until later on.
And on the point of the Alien Blaster there is actually a full DLC that effectively confirms aliens as canon in the universe.

  29. Andrew Duffey on November 22, 2021 at 9:08 pm

Fallout 3’s Fat Man was actually based off the British PIAT of WWII infamy.

  30. The MTF on November 22, 2021 at 9:10 pm

In universe, the railway rifle was created by the railroad, more as a kind of emergency/last resort weapon.

  31. Nathan Morrow on November 22, 2021 at 9:12 pm

the Rock-It reminds me of the scene from Monty Python: Holy Grail at the french castle where they start lobbing random shit over the walls

  32. myles gary on November 22, 2021 at 9:13 pm

    please review halo

  33. Joseph Warren on November 22, 2021 at 9:13 pm

Aliens are a pretty big part of Fallout lore along with the giant mind control monster I’d say the Alien Blaster fits into the series Rather well

  34. Kamataros on November 22, 2021 at 9:14 pm

Funfact: microwaves are not called microwaves because there wavelength is in a micrometer magnitude. In fact they range between 3mm and 30cm. They are just smaller than radio waves, which makes them micro. Apparently.

  35. FlashHawk4 on November 22, 2021 at 9:16 pm

"Switchology" is such a good phrase for things like that, I’m definitely stealing that.

  36. rental car on November 22, 2021 at 9:16 pm

U didn’t use a piat for the fat man?

  37. Name Redacted on November 22, 2021 at 9:22 pm

I wait all this time for the assault rifle, and he doesn’t even mention the CETME

  38. Dr.Cleric on November 22, 2021 at 9:23 pm

That museum is pretty great me and mate went just to see if he was around haha

  39. Evan Shearman on November 22, 2021 at 9:28 pm

On note with his remarks on the "rock-it launcher," I actually saw a video of a guy who had basically engineered the "junk jet" from fo4 using a car air bag and a metal tube and dammit it actually worked!

  40. Mark Suckaburger on November 22, 2021 at 9:28 pm

I like the parks and rec shirt

  41. David Sirkin on November 22, 2021 at 9:30 pm

The fallout divergence is related to when microchips become a thing. So I think we see trending divergence from like 1960.

  42. Ethan on November 22, 2021 at 9:30 pm

I like to think the AK in game as an old Type 56, that over the years the handguard has been damaged/rotted. So one of the previous owners stumbled on an RPD foregrip and was like, "Well this kinda works…"

  43. Under the Sky so Blue on November 22, 2021 at 9:33 pm

    Fallout 3 for switch!

  45. TheLethalSniper on November 22, 2021 at 9:35 pm

I’m pretty sure that the 10mm smg is based on the Shipka smg

  46. Sir Spam alot on November 22, 2021 at 9:35 pm

wasn’t the backstory of the missle launcher that it was actually guided, but when the bombs fell all the guidance systems got fried?

I feel like there was one in fallout NV that you could repair the guidance system for, or the gun runners built a guidance system that you could add on

  47. Skeetster on November 22, 2021 at 9:35 pm

Ah yes you love the Chinese pistol..? MMMasochistttt!!

  48. Ghost Lee Mann on November 22, 2021 at 9:35 pm

  49. UntouchedWagons on November 22, 2021 at 9:36 pm

I’m disappointed that you guys don’t have a Rock-It Launcher or an alien pistol at your armoury! Get to it!
