the first time i removed the fgs of my radical upper i rounder the slot of the crew…..their screws are somewhat soft….i ended up buying harbor freight impact driver to remove the screw….radical customer service is excellent…. i emailed them just to ask for the size of the screw…… the customer service guy insisted on getting my address and sent me 1 set of screws…..but because i like disassembling my ar all the time, i decided to replace the screws with the harder stainless hex….i have 3 radical uppers with all palmetto lowers and bcg…they all work good so far after close to 1000 rounds each

A magnetic screw holder is good when taking small screw and bolts off. Put them in the holder and no worries of loosing screws. Harbor Freight has them for about 5 dollars, or you can get them free with a coupon. I pick on up free when I can.

I’m more of an AK guy. What’s funny is that a cheap AR is cheaper than a cheap AK nowadays. Until recently, I would never have thought that would be possible.

My FGS handguard doesn’t come off or go on as smoothly as this. It’s a pain and a half to get the handguard off and I can’t even budge the barrel nut
