Thumb forward grip is your friend on semi autos. Do that. It’s the same principle as the support hand when you fire a rifle.

This video doesn’t engender a lot of confidence that these recruits will be even rudimentary in their use of firearms….

Wtf are these instructors teaching them. They suck!

  5. Chuck D on November 1, 2021 at 8:28 pm

Bad teaching. Who knows how much percentage comes out of your left or right?
100% is what works for me. Some of those officers have bad support hand positioning. Shaking my head.

How come they don’t have dog shaped targets below the human targets?

  8. Jamie Sloan on November 1, 2021 at 8:32 pm

I only saw ONE guy that was actually bringing the gun up into his vision. The rest of them looked like the hunchback of Notre Dame. Nose over toes people!!! NOT leaning forward to the point of almost tipping over. And, what’s with the extreme squatting???? I’m sorry, but when your job description stands a really good chance of having to use lethal force on another human being, you should be BETTER than that. Also, the "flinch" is one of two things… Squeezing the gun a little tighter, right before you break the shot. Or, pushing forward, and down on the gun, right before the shot breaks. Don’t wait the split second BEFORE the shot goes off, to do "something" different to "prepare" yourself for that big, scary BANG. Simply pull the trigger, as if the gun is empty. You know…. The way you practice dry fire, when the sights NEVER MOVE. There’s absolutely NOTHING physically challenging about pulling a little trigger shoe back, without moving the gun. It’s 99% mental.

1:29 Talking to your instructor with your gun still in your hand, my instructors at German police academy would have killed me for that…
they always told us „schaffen ohne Waffen“ (work without weapons) meaning if you do anything else than shooting, your gun goes in your holster

I just wish law enforcement would give as much time in knowing the laws and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as they do on how to kill American citizens. I realize that there are many reasons people want to become badge wearers. As a Marine I know there was multiple reasons those that volunteer did so. Some were gun happy, some were bloodthirsty and just wanted to kill people. I could go on and on but you got the drift of it. All this love of country I seldom saw was a reason to become a Marine. I doubt if 5% of law enforcement joined to protect and serve. They just throw out narratives like that because the truth would not be uplifting and in many cases scary as hell.

This training is useless when they beat someone on the head with their nightstick. Are they trained to do that?

Military "weapon familiarization"? WTF is that? We don’t get familiarized-we get proficient. At whatever system. Semper Fi.
