Can I just say that I always appreciate that you’re wearing a pistol while testing/shooting your rifles. I think that kind of mindset fantastic.

  2. lpandy21 on November 28, 2021 at 6:49 pm

I’ve having a hard time finding a 308 riffle, but this one has been there at Scheels each time I am looking. It made a little suspicious why it was the only un-bought 308 rifle, but the price does seem high. Thank you for the video.

  3. cavtroopermunoz on November 28, 2021 at 6:51 pm

This gun will out shoot my abilities. Under $2K doesn’t sound excessive for a premium brand gun. Not sure where some of these posters are getting custom guns for Walmart prices? Sounds like hate.

  4. spookypunky on November 28, 2021 at 6:51 pm

Idk, Id rather get their MK18 and get a Ruger Precision Rifle and save some dough. Some buck isn’t going to know if it gets hit by a DD or Rem 700

  5. Jabari Hunt on November 28, 2021 at 6:52 pm

I’m hoping for a magnum version announced at SHOT Show… 300 Win Mag, 300 PRC, etc.

  6. Kickinitoutdoors on November 28, 2021 at 6:52 pm

6.5 CM Starline brass, 140gn Berger Match, 39gn H4350, CCI Primers regular primer not small base!

  7. ross vanderpoel on November 28, 2021 at 6:54 pm

Tikka T3x TAC A1 All day for that price.

  8. Chad T on November 28, 2021 at 6:56 pm

For the price, I’d go a different direction. For a 6.5, not a great grouping at all.

Floating bolt head. Yup savage done it for a very long time.

    Great review as always.

  9. kocharjm on November 28, 2021 at 6:57 pm

What was the height of the scope mounting rings?

  10. LongRange VooDoo on November 28, 2021 at 6:57 pm

Wow this is surprising to me. Not nearly as accurate as I thought. Especially at the price point. Eek.

  11. Kyle Strickland on November 28, 2021 at 6:57 pm

Those are laser groups man! Nice!

  12. C Pow on November 28, 2021 at 6:58 pm

    Thanks Mike!

  13. G5 on November 28, 2021 at 6:58 pm

How’s the bolt lift on this?

  14. JT on November 28, 2021 at 6:59 pm

So when I found out about the recall I took my bolt apart and found the cross pin to be in two pieces. DD performed the recall in about a week turn around. With hand loads I have been shooting consistent less than quarter inch groups. It’s a good gun

  15. Caleb Clark on November 28, 2021 at 7:01 pm

No more respect for DD. Never have shit for sales. Then, they failed at their overpriced.308 and then made the gen 2 a cheaper rifle.

    PASS

  16. Leroy Sellers on November 28, 2021 at 7:06 pm

All the guys fussing about the groups, just stop. One was a hunting round, one was a no name pill white box Winchester, one shot very well, and the first was just what it was… a group better than most can shoot. From a fellow North Carolinian, good shooting!

  17. Hantus Mostert on November 28, 2021 at 7:08 pm

In 416 Rigby, it would perhaps be a great hunting rifle for the weight. However I see value in Bergara products that shoots more accurate or even a nice walnut CZ

  18. Josh Davis on November 28, 2021 at 7:08 pm

Not sure why you used some of the worst factory ammo on the market to group with. Hornady match or black hills man. And what was that rest you were using ? Why didn’t you use your bi pod ?

  19. Mason Thorpe on November 28, 2021 at 7:09 pm

Ok…First off, I love this rifle and what I am about to say is not going to sway me away.
Second, my Marine buddy just bought one in .308. The bolt will only go in upside down. I know the first wave of these had a serious bolt issue. Seems like Daniel Defense needs to really up their game with their quality control. Devil Dog now has to send his new rifle back to DD 2 days after receiving it (took a month to get). Kind of a shame.

  21. Andy Prairie Dog on November 28, 2021 at 7:16 pm

At a glance of the optic…I seriously thought it was a 3-9x NCStar on top of a DD rifle. Before anyone gets hurt feelings and go talking to their poster size David Hogg shrine, I do have an NCStar on a .22 and it does work very well 🙂 Thank you for the review of this bolt action rifle, Mr GnG.

  22. 112 224 448 on November 28, 2021 at 7:18 pm

Those groups are really sad. Especially for the price…

  23. Jerry Johnson II on November 28, 2021 at 7:18 pm

Awesome rifle an thanks for showing it , Mrgunsngear !!!!!!!!!

  24. Dalton Dey on November 28, 2021 at 7:20 pm

I didnt realize anyone actually bought these

Daniel defense rules the Range at home and over seas!

  26. Peter on November 28, 2021 at 7:20 pm

    so far iam not impressed

  27. Mr Gauges on November 28, 2021 at 7:23 pm

Interesting group for the core lokt ammo, I’ve been puzzled with the tight groups I’ve been getting with soft tip .308. Not much different than match king at 100yrds.

  28. kevin is fishing on November 28, 2021 at 7:24 pm

I like it. It’s not another 700 action re-branded and that’s a plus to me. Innovation is good even in a bolt gun.

  29. Caleb Clark on November 28, 2021 at 7:24 pm

We get like 3 days a year in KS with no wind to shoot Lol

  30. EMAXXMASTER on November 28, 2021 at 7:25 pm

interesting to see a CHF barrel on a precision rifle. most of the time its cut or button rifled.

  31. Wild Bill on November 28, 2021 at 7:27 pm

Reminds me a lot of my Bergara HMR. Which shoots just as well for a lot less.

  32. BanGa Bruhh on November 28, 2021 at 7:28 pm

Always great detailed thorough videos and the best YouTube music always!

  33. Cory Hobbs on November 28, 2021 at 7:28 pm

Precision/tactical/long range bolt action rifles are the next big thing

  34. Jeff Johnson on November 28, 2021 at 7:29 pm

Lax ammo? Website looks like in store sales only ?

  35. Roger Vasquez on November 28, 2021 at 7:31 pm

    Great detailed review.

  36. armedmage on November 28, 2021 at 7:31 pm

Really cool looking rifle, but from what I’ve seen of it it’s basically a Bergara HMR for nearly twice the price.

  37. Jeremy KN6FWT on November 28, 2021 at 7:31 pm

Hornady brass, 140gr ELDM, Win large primer, and 41.6gr of RL16 is my go to 6.5 Creedmoor load.

    Super video greetings from Slovakia.

  39. E.L. Robbins on November 28, 2021 at 7:33 pm

Mr. GUNS AND GEAR Best reviewer on YouTube. Daniel Defence bolt gun not impressive. I’ve got a Ruger American predator that shoots all 6.5 creedmore ammo 3/4 of an inch or less at 100 yards. Scope a 4-16 vortex Viper. Other than the Winchester load I’ve shot all those loads through the gun. I’ve got a 6.5 PRC ordered from Seekins Precision.

  40. VaMike9 on November 28, 2021 at 7:34 pm

I feel you on the caffeine, lol.
    Great review!

  41. david christ on November 28, 2021 at 7:34 pm

What is the overll length of that thing 9 feet???

  42. Josue Guzman on November 28, 2021 at 7:34 pm

I’ll stick to my HMR, it’s a nice looking gun though

  43. Rocky LaSagna on November 28, 2021 at 7:34 pm

Mike, if you get the opportunity, try grouping some of the Sellier & Bellot 140 Grain FMJ with the Delta 5. It’s a little over 50 cents a round and performs like match grade ammo. I’m getting consistent MOA or less out to 600 yards with a Thompson Center Compass (all stock) topped off witha Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24×50 in MOA. I’m guessing this Delta 5 would shoot 1/2 MOA all day long with these rounds. Great review on an awesome rifle. Sportsman Guide has the ammo i mentioned.

  44. Jon Gruen on November 28, 2021 at 7:35 pm

The Remington hunting load accuracy isn’t suprising. Flat base bullets stabilize faster at shorter ranges. Had similar results with Hornady 129 grain American White tail in a RPC 6.5.

  45. Chris Wood on November 28, 2021 at 7:37 pm

They start out at $1,599 (add to cart) here: http://bit.ly/2SWVPrP

I’ve always wondered what your neighbors think.
