I love that you basically have the same rifle in the video just different calibers to show how arbitrary the rules are.

“Hey can I own that rifle”?
    “Well yes but actually no”
“K can I have the big one”?
“Of course I’m sure it’s for hunting since I’ve never seen it in a movie and it’s long”.

Makes no sense just like pretty much every gun law I’ve ever heard of.

  2. Mr Mando on November 6, 2021 at 11:18 pm

I hate how are laws are here in canada. myself and others dream of leaving for not just this reason but many others

So how can you defend yourself? You can’t carry a hand gun? So you can carry your 18.6 in rifle? So the only option is a crossbow I guess what about for camping in Canada I have had messed up stuff happening to me while camping, stuff that make you feel like you really need a gun with you and stuff that got really scary.

  9. Cadian122 on November 6, 2021 at 11:28 pm

Very informative video i learned a lot.. I have 4 follow up questions though..
    1. I know for pumps and lever action and bolt barrel length doesnt seem to matter.. They are all non restricted (I know for instance the Remington 870 entry gun with its 14" barrel is a popular choice) I was wondering if that holds through for Semi Auto Shotguns as well or if Semi Auto Shotguns have to be 18.5 inch barrel to be not restricted..
    2. In the US for a Rifle 16" inch the minimum barrel length to not be a SBR.. But alot of people cut down their barrel to 13.7" or 14" or 14" and Pin and weld a muzzle device to make the overall barrel length still 16" but it cuts off a couple of inches of overall length on the gun.. Is that allowed in Canada? Can you pin and weld?
    3. With the new gun control law going into effect and them making the AR15 and it’s variants as well as the Sig 550 series Prohibited is your Famae rifle not prohibited since its a version of the Sig 540 which is close to the Sig 550?
    4. Even though the Mag limit for rifles is 5 rounds in Canada .. I have often seen you and other Canadian shooters use 10 round mags because they are "handgun" mags.. Are all those type of mags properly marked in Canada or you just have to hope the police know their shit and believe you that they were designed for a "handgun" if you ever have to prove it to them? Also are 10 round .308 "handgun" mags common?
I have also heard that Canadians are using .458 socom marked mags and loading 15 rounds of .223 in them and its perfectly legal, do you have any insight on this and do you foresee a "handgun" .458 socom mag in the future so that Canadians could have full 30 round .223 mags?

  10. kevin lin on November 6, 2021 at 11:28 pm

So those lever guns will be unrestricted what about revolvers like the double action ones

  14. The Circuit Bender on November 6, 2021 at 11:37 pm

Thanks for making this so much easier to understand – as a dyed in the sheet NDP supporter I cannot for the life of me understand why the feds wasted so much time, resources and good will removing "scary" rifles when within 24 hours the RCMP can come knocking if concerned.

The money spent on the committees that found out that the AR15 is "scary" could have been spent on CBSA keeping the glocks from getting over the border.

  15. Tim Fowler on November 6, 2021 at 11:41 pm

I know this doesn’t go with the video but could anyone tell if there is any non-restricted handguns in Canada

  16. Robert Patter on November 6, 2021 at 11:42 pm

It’s almost as if you need to be a lawyer to even be a gun owner in Canada. Well , close to it
A straight pull action AR15/10 could be a Canadian only market. Should someone do the conversion.
A real wacky way to do it is to have an AR10 with a revolving cylinder and using 308 speed loaders.
That would require some innovation. Kind of like in Borderlands the game.
You could even have a pump action AR15/10. A hybrid of the 870 shotgun and AR15/10 into one.
These would require a large business to do that. Major logistics

  20. John Gilmour on November 6, 2021 at 11:47 pm

Canada does not need tougher gun laws? What Canada Needs is More severe Consequences for Gun Crimes, taking the shooters off the streets, out of the communities, and deportations when possible, and Much Tougher Prosecuting Attorneys, with greater "INTEGRITY" as it stands, the prosecuting attorneys give criminal gunmen an option like a game show, offers criminals a get out of jail free card, by offering to allow the criminal gunmen to plea guilty to a much lesser charge, that allows the criminal gunmen to avoid appropriate consequences for the crimes they committed, and when you take into account, the number of criminal gunmen that spend very little if any time behind bars, and off our streets, it craves the possibility that some money may be changing hands??? in my opinion!

  21. Holly Hayes on November 6, 2021 at 11:47 pm

I just heard a complete psychopath shoot at birds here in Canada (Ottawa, Ontario) just because he was annoyed with their squawking. Guns are illegal here for good reason!

  22. Komasaar Comrade on November 6, 2021 at 11:48 pm

How can I get a prohibited firearms licence?

  23. Harris N369 on November 6, 2021 at 11:48 pm

I’d blame the rich guys who buy restricted firearms just to not vote for firearm freedoms as they treat it as an investment.

  24. jacob jackson on November 6, 2021 at 11:48 pm

what have you guyz done to your laws? i feel sad for you all Canadian brothers n sisters. jeez

  25. T W on November 6, 2021 at 11:49 pm

this is probably a dumb question but…
if someone was grandfathered into owning a prohibited gun, and they cant shoot it at a range and they cant take it anywhere, could they shoot it in their house?

Hearing all these laws and seeing America slowly moving towards these type of restrictions really makes me sad. I’m so jealous of those who lived pre machine gun ban time period and pre NFA time period.

  31. Shotgunsam 23 on November 6, 2021 at 11:54 pm

Having law enforcement make laws is such an awful system. Here in the states we now have the ATF trying to do the same crap.

  32. ehsan samei on November 6, 2021 at 11:55 pm

All these complicated laws is there so very few people go after it. basically with gun license in Canada and it’s restrictions you can not do anything with it except have it collect dust in your closet with its lock on lol

Can you shoot on your own land in Canada? From what you have said it sounds like you aren’t able to. Very curious.

  38. Luke Warmwater on November 7, 2021 at 12:07 am

I take it all this is because of that nutjob in Nova Scotia murdering all those civilians? If so didn’t he acquire his weapons illegally? And if that’s the case what in the blue FUCK kind of logic is any of this?

  39. 2CentsBear on November 7, 2021 at 12:07 am

I’m so glad he mentioned the Hollywood tactic. California is so fucked on gun regulations because of the opinion of the largest county in the world

Under Bill C-21 your Air Guns will be taken away. Read on: Join the CCFR or renew your membership. The CCFR (Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights) is and has legally taken action against the federal government’s gun grab whether they are real guns or air guns. Just because an air gun looks like the real thing you can’t own it anymore. It will become illegal to own in the future, unless everyone bands together by joining the CCFR. Can you imagine the police coming to your home like communists taking your plastic air guns and arresting you? Then you have to go to court and you may have to pay a huge fine and /or go to jail? The reason I suggested joining a real firearm group is the CCFR is already using lawyers on this platform theft and it was the CCFR who is making legal air gun owners aware of the government’s air gun confiscation. You can jump on the CCFR train taking Ottawa to Court. So, join/support the CCFR Legal Fund by becoming a Member. I believe you get a Membership Card and a Magazine subscription mailed to your home. Membership cards usually arrive within 4-6 weeks. Go to the Link below Now!

Im disappointed in my country of canada for banning assault rifles its a invasion of freedom on citizens, its probably connected to how their policing peoples lives with these draconian laws they have right now regarding this disease they got out here…
