Brian C Smith, named the NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor of the Year 2014

Brian C. Smith, police officer for the Village of Steger, Illinois is named the National Rifle Association’s Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor of the Year 2014.

Brian is a 38 year veteran police officer who retired as a Captain with Chicago Heights PD, former Police Chief with Glenwood PD and is currently serving with Steger PD. He has been a proud member of the National Rifle Association since 1986 when he earned his first firearms instructor certification. Since that time he has earned approximately 17 additional instructor certifications related to firearms, including NRA Firearms Training Counselor and Chief Range Safety Officer.
